Dark Moon Decks 

I don't know if you've ever done anything like this, but since you've sometimes mentioned that a deck has a favourite iteration of a certain card, I'd be very interested to see them in one video. Totally not all cards, but seeing maybe your favourite majors side-to-side and hearing your personal thoughts on them would be absolutely fascinating.

You've inspired to re-organize my decks into baskets based on how I work with them, that makes so much sense! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous Dark Moon collection.

I am a collector of Jonasa Jaus' too. I have pretty much one of each of something she's released. Along with the stunning, I have the green version and the "vanilla" version of the tall skinny deck. Good stuff for dark moon.

Dang, seeing the Mary El next to the Goddess Knowledge cards made me put it back on my wishlist, haha! I'm really loving the "dark goddess tarot" (so far, just pulling one goddess per dark moon), and I'm glad I picked it over some other goddess decks I was considering. However, the next deck I really want (it's expensive though with shipping from the UK) is the "red seeds oracle," another goddess deck! And also one that doesn't shy away at all from the shadow side. I think where "dark goddess" feels like this wonderful distillation of goddess archetypes in a potent way, "red seeds" feels like *real* women, like me, reflecting various aspects of these archetypes in more specific, more human ways. ("red seeds" is in 3 volumes, or three decks, with 45 cards per deck.)

I'm so glad you showed the Hecate deck! You shouldn't apologize for working with what some might think is a less-than-perfect one. Don't many of our decks have their "quirks"? 😊 As you were flipping the cards, I found the images pleasing. And when I saw a squished one, I immediately refocused on how it could work. Very cool deck!

Gorgeous decks! I wouldn't have thought to use some of these decks for New Moon work, but I can see how well they all work for this purpose.

Lovely video, I love the little glimpses into your personal practice. Seeing the types of decks you use, I'd think the Madame Endora oracle cards might also be something you would enjoy. It's funny, my personal new moon practice is all about exploring parts of the Self and practicing self-love as wel as working on self-acceptance. The decks I use most are the Tarot of the Hidden Realm in combination with the Telluric Rune oracle. More the wildness of nature, still a bit of a dark feel, but less night. If that makes any sense....

Beautiful decks and pairings! The Goddess cards and Mary El look awesome together! I think the Hecate deck looks interesting. Thanks for sharing it with us. Honestly I have decks I've bonded with that may not have great art, but something about them speaks to me. And sometimes the pretty decks fall flat for me. It's so individual. And a good guidebook makes up for other areas that lack.

I absolutely love working with the energy of the dark moon - I uploaded a video a few days ago about a dark moon working I did recently for releasing and healing. The dark moon just might be my very favourite moon phase. I love the intensity of the full moon and the centeredness and anticipation of the new moon but the dark moon just speaks to my soul I think 😊 Beautiful decks. I would love to get a Jonasa Jaus deck so hopefully this is the year! I picked up those goddess knowledge cards in Glastonbury years ago but only worked with them once or twice - I will definitely pair them with The Mary El now - I have the 2nd edition! I found the og hierophant so triggering - my kids are 5 and 3 and I had a lot of PND and OCD after my labours so I couldn't face that card - I just had a natal chart reading with Sammy Menzo tho and it's a really relevant energy for me right now. I still find Mary el challenging without that card tho so it's good for me to work with it! This was wonderful. Great video thank you Dawn Michelle. Do you use different decks for full moon readings or are these specifically for dark moon days? I've been using The flowers of the night oracle and the Dark days tarot for my dark moon readings and the work beautifully together.

Do you recommend any particular books on Hecate practice? Thank you!

I have a couple of questions regarding your Hecate practice more in specific about the items you use during the practice one where can I get an amethyst skull like that and I won't have to pay an arm and a leg and to where can I get a Hecate key like that thanks in advance

You are pronouncing Hecate wrong. Wroooooooong so many times wrong.
