It's called Acanthosis Nicracan - starts off with dark neck, spread to dark underarms and other parts. if it's seen in kids it's more genetic...but in adults it's your diet + BMI. It's associated with usually diabetes, PCOS or thyroid problems. Get rid of sugar from your diet, loss weight, it will go away. All those topical stuff like prescription for tretinoin, using peels, exfoliating, using acids - Salicylic acid/Glycolic acid are temporary solutions to reduce the leathery texture and help brighten skin. But if you don't address underlying issue it will continue to return again and again. Acanthosis Nicracan is commonly found in black, Hispanic, native Americans.
true. I had severe acanthosis nigricans and doctor told me to lose weight and gave me tretinoin. worked like a charm. but it all came back as soon as I gained the weight back.
If you have a dark neck area ......and you still work for removing this but it can't remove and become a rash and redness appear on neck then you have a pcos and diabetes or obesity but ....if you used srub or etc then you see a result its means you have a hyperpigmentation
Consult a doctor who takes such issues seriously. I had it when I was 10. We thought it was a cosmetic issue. But I had insulin resistance. Pcos was diagnosed when I was 22.
Check ur blood sugar level...reduce ur cholestrol levels ..don't eat sweets ..join gym and get a deep chemical peel on ur neck like the video ...but only the peel will not help .

I gained this issue over the pandemic. Never had this issue before. Sitting on my a$$ and gaining weight...But Turmeric body wash/scrub should do the trick. Happy healthy skin everyone! 😊
Consult your Dermatologist, reduce your body weight, apply kojic acid cream recommended by doctor. This will help you. I’m also going through same phase.
