Darkside materia fits better on red xiii for the sole purpose of his reaper touch ability not only it will get more potent with darkside materia but with reaper touch getting more deadly as red hp depletes you kinda get some control over the attack strenght
I had built Barret with darkside. Basically its like your support Barret build utilizing his natural tankiness and auto-regen to withstand monster attacks and the health cost of darkside, but using his overload to charge his atb pretty fast along with his skills that refill overload fast so I'm doing maximum fury often with the darkside bonus and it feels like its dealing a lot at no life cost.
GameSpot made a pretty good Yuffie video. I think she is a better user of Enemy Skill than Cloud. Basically you use Mug a lot which uses an ATB then refill an ATB activating Plasma Discharge every time. She also can abuse Brumal Form and such to avoid damage.
@williambisson8632 Just standard decent stuff. I give him elemental materia and a spell to deal magic damage on attacks, assess, HP UP, MP UP, Steadfast Guard, Precision Guard, stuff like that. I also like the item boost materia and I think people overlook them. Watched a lot of these types of videos for the game from different channels and nobody mentions the item materia. Being able to use items for no ATB cost and have them be more effective is really good.
@@quickpawmaud item economizer + item master is totally underrated, it's so strong especially since using an item is way faster than casting curaga or whatever other spell you need.. You could spend an atb bar 19 MP and 1 second casting curaga, or use item economizer + X-potion for free. Although curaga-all is way stronger than a mist mega potion so healing materia is still useful, and you can't use items on hard mode anyways. Definitely a must have for easy - dynamic difficulty

"Yuffie damage not scaling well late game". Me doing consistent 9999 damage with Banishment which is extremely easy to build with Brumal, Mug and Blindside.

I use the plasma discharge enemy skill/Comet Synergy skill and she absolutely wrecks stuff. The only problem is I cant see anything because there's so much skill vomit.
To get ATB assist to proc you have to: - actively control that character - have them use 2 ATB abilities back to back - BOTH of those abilities have to be ones that generate a synergy pip. Several of Yuffie's skills don't. Mug also doesn't. There's actually a little leeway in that they don't have to be perfectly back to back but any moving, dodging, or getting knocked around will make it not count as back to back.
If U compare her version on intermission with the rest of the group (on remake), the difference was abysmal. I think the gap between them has shortened in this new game. Though nothing has changed about her being absolutely OP: her mobility is absolutely nuts.
Her offense yes, her defense not so much. If you can evade your good, but she can’t take too many hits. Her and Cait Sith both are OP if you know how to utilize them right
Put the second Elemental Materia on her, plus the lightning and wind materia, while Cloud holds fire and ice materia plus Elemental Materia, and Tiffa, and you’re pretty much a full army.

Definitely appreciate unique builds. Not everyone can use the enemy skill materia unfortunately and having a full party of functionally good characters is nice and keeps the monotony to a minimum.
Hey about that ATB Assist materia I was convinced it was bugged too but from reading the description countless times I was starting to think maybe you have to issue the same moves but on the non active party member twice in a row (not yourself) to receive the atb…for example making barret use chakra back to back while you’re using cloud idk just a thought haven’t tried it yet
He gets a move that uses summon attacks later on I think that’s a build you can do with him also the atb with dice roll spam works for any regular enemy bosses probably will kill you though that’s the thing with Cait Sith he’s kinda easy to KOD with
Please do a red build. Love his character so much but I’m a little disappointed in his abilities. Would love to find a way to make him dish out major damage and be a viable party member.
I had the same question about ATB Assist. I would do double windstorm, art of war, and or special dodge quite often, and I never saw allies atb bars increasing. I'm assuming it's bugged. Same with EXP up materia.
No he said he didn’t want to make the same build for each character so he kept that on Cloud. He made this as an alternative to the ultimate discharge build which works on most characters
Kind of annoying that they change names of known FF lore abilities. Like soul eater = dark side. I know they flip flop the names but just stick with one.
it would be better if u collect ALL weapons an show a few skills and NOT only talk the whole time and show 3 or 4 materia in the entiry vid... its nice but not rly helpfull
