In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiralling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite -- not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

This looks excellent. A lot of promising features. Raven will die for sure and that’s okay. However, if quicksilver dies too, it’s pretty counter productive considering his whole arc being Erik’s son. If that happens, it’ll be biggest flaw and a set back of the this film. Otherwise it looks brilliant.

@@nicko198718 - Yes, it did. But that was 5 months ago and this is a film that's been pushed back multiple times. It just seems very odd to not show the release date if nothing has changed.

@@rulssie - Trailers ALWAYS have release dates. Whether it's an exact date, a month or even a vague season ("Coming this Christmas" or "Summer 2020"). They usually have SOMETHING. It just seems odd to only have "Coming Soon" when the last trailer already had an exact date.

Xavier and Magneto they got right but the rest are all messed up. For example, Angel and Ice Man are missing. Wheres Rogue, Banshee, Forge? Forge is the one behind most of the X-MAN's tech not Beast. Banshee and Forge are basically incharge of the X-Mansion's security. They messed up the timeline badly already. They could have reboot with Days of Future Past but NO.

@@zam023 Banshee was killed offscreen (Magneto mentioned that in Days of Future Past). Angel was killed off in Apocalypse. Rogue and Iceman are both in kindergarten during the time period of Dark Phoenix. Lastly, Forge hasn't made any appearance whatsoever.

@@loudboy317 well put. People need to understand that when they rebooted the films, they put distance between themselves and the comics. Events will not happen the way we expect them BECAUSE timelines have changed. People have changed. Mystique did not work with the X-Men, she was against them. Understand that this timeline is new and something none of us have seen. Embrace the nuance of change.

I heard that they did a screening and it went so bad and they had to reshoot many scenes but no matter how bad or good this movie is gonna be , Dark pheonix will always be my favourite mutant.

yeah that would be awesome. I just hope the movie is as good as the trailer. sadly it happened too many times, trailers looking awesome and movie turns out to be a bust. mcu trailers are just on purpose that way lately so cant say anything about Captain Marvel.

Just like every comic book movie based on an Arc. I don't mind it, as long as the movie is enjoyable (Civil War, and Infinity War being a prime examples). It would honestly take a TV series to fit all of the detailed layers introduced in the comics.

the cgi looks bad and they are doing so much of the same with the materialization effect. we didnt see the firebird once.

@@dantan1249 they have already shown the firebird at the end of apocalypse, and this isn't the entire film. we will likely see more of it in the full film. the cgi looks way better than it did in the apocalypse trailer, so im not even worried about that. i agree about the materialization. but i mean, she is supposed to be able to tear apart matter with her powers like that.

Oh, I saw that new trailer on X-Men: Dark Phoenix, is better and bigger more than X-Men: Days of Future Past since five years ago and X-Men: Apocalypse since three years ago. I got see the new film in June. That full trailer was very impressive and different crazy stuff with scenes of Jean Grey as Dark Phoenix.

DarthOliptius yes, but this film has nothing to do with the MCU. All it’s meant to do is close out the Fox X-Men films. The first footage for this film literally went public long before Disney bought Fox. Same goes for New Mutants, if they still plan on releasing it
