Isabel I’ve watched 3 episodes so far & didn’t get the sense that it was at all like Stranger Things. I don’t think (from what I’ve seen so far) that it’s a good comparison. It’s funny he talked about the English dub, cause that’s the reason I couldn’t watch it when it was 1st released on Netflix, a couple years ago. I can’t stand dubbed films/shows. I have trouble even watching Studio Ghibli animated movies when they’re dubbed. Thankfully I found a copy like the one he’s watching, with just the subtitles.

Are you serious? There are definitly parallels in the earlier episodes. People go missing? A group of kids wandering around in the woods? Something making noises, possibly a monster? Evil cooperation? A policemen trying to find out what happened. A dead 80s kid suddenly appearing. Of course, after those first few episodes, it starts to do go a different route entirely and I like it for that. It plays with the viewer expectations perfectly. Going as far as saying that it subvert expectations right/satisfyingly. And comparing it to Stranger Things sisnt a bad thing. People also compare The Expanse to Game of Thrones in Space, which I would disagree, even thought I understand where thats comming from. The intrigue of the politics and the dooming threat of the Protomolecule does resemble to Game of Thrones. But also to many other stories, so its just that GoT was the most popular thing at the time The Expanse came up. I think it is similar with Stranger Things and Dark comparison.

Seth ikr? I feel like people are just disagreeing with it’s similarities for no reason. Dark is still a better show imo. Another similarity is weird government type shit going on in a power plant next to a small barely known about town. jUsT lIkE iN sTrAnGeR tHiNgS.

@Supanjibobu i just watched season 1 when it came out twice. Completely forgot about it. So before starting season 2 i didn't rewatch season 1, just watched the recap. But remembered nothing. Then watched season 2 few days back. And surprisingly Understood almost everything what's going on and who is connected to who. Then went back and watched season 1 again and OH MY FREKIN GOD it all made sense. Amazing. Its a wonderful series.

It was his father but it wasn't a vision. It's explained later. I just finished binging the 2 seasons and now I'm going to do it again because as others mentioned there are so many details and you can easily miss connecting information. Thank you for doing reactions to this show!!

@@mimikannisto4418 I don't think so.. if it actually was his father (alive), then it has not been explained yet. As far as we know, Jonas has visions and dreams about his father a few times throughout the season, he even talks about it with his therapist in this episode.. (sorry for my english)
