When there is a click between scenes, it's a time change. When it's a "whoosh" it's a world change. 😊

Something to note. The 2nd world is flipped, literally….they filmed it and then flipped it horizontally which is why everyone looks slightly different. That means any scenes with written words visible had to have the words reversed in the original so they show correctly in the 3rd world

Ladies, couple of quick points. The "cut" on boy,man and old man is not a cut. It's a cleft palate, a birth defect. Goggle it for more info. 2nd point. This one had me confused too. The black "tar" that you see on Martha and Michael in the woods, it's not tar. It's what Claudia called the "God Particle" You see it come up from the barrels the Charlotte uncovered at the nuclear plant. If you think your head hurts now, just wait. By episode 5 I was ready give up it was so confusing. But the ending is fantastic and you'll finally see the Beauty of Dark

After the season 2 finale I felt a little bit uncertain if the show would be able to clean up the mess they created by combining the seemingly self-consistent timeline of Jonas world with this many worlds interpretation. But from the very first scene this episode is an absolute marvel. Never did any show and hardly any movie better pull a what-if scenario or any alternate dimension off than this (yup not even Fringe). Did you notive that alt-Martha's home is not exactly the same as Jonas' home? Everything is mirrored but still no scene was rebuild as a set on stage. Instead everything they mirrored the image after filming. This means that all the actors use the other hand than what they used for the past seasons/their character's counterparts. Even all the cars in season three are right-hand drives. Kilian seems to be a new character but his actor, Sammy Scheuritzel, actually appeared in season one. Like he does in this world he appeared in the school play alongside Martha. In Jonas' world his makeup consisted of a black mark going across his eyes looking similar to the dead children. In this world he has a large red streak down his face. Noticed anything similar in this episode? Bartosz is giving a very crude version of the same presentation that Franziska held in season one about black holes. I still find it very fitting how the presentation style fits their different characters. The part about Stranger-Jonas really does not add up. Let's hope that the show comes up with a good enough explanation, right?

How is Jonas in 1888? They last we saw of middle-Jonas, he was rescuing his teenage friends with their time machine. They travelled at the exact point of the apocalypse. I guess that made travelling a little... wonky.

14:03: Wondering why Jonas is puzzled that Martha lives? He saw Martha die, but he also was taken by the other Martha to her world. That is strange indeed. A plot hole? ;-)
