A lot of respect for the actors for keeping a straight face despite flubbing lines, props that don't cooperate, and rubber bats on poles. Especially Jonathon Frid for keeping cool with a fly landing on his face.

This is a real hoot! From David's "I LIKE funerals", to Liz Stoddard pushing pills, to rubber bats on fishpoles, and of course "Oh Roger please!". And oh yes--I'd LOVE the chance to boogie at the Blue Whale!

7:49 "...innocent until proved innocent..." Kudos to the other three actors for keeping a straight face when Frid came out with that line. I would've cracked up.

It was a live show. It’s amazing how they would mess up and pick it up right from there and continue with their lines 👏👏👏

"David" was a great actor -- I think he was always more prepared than the adults! This show went off the air way to early. I was devastated on 04/2/71 when there would be no more...

To be fair, some of the mistakes we're seeing near the edge of the frame were tolerated because they were never visible on home television displays, which routinely cut off the edges of the picture. Now they are visible because the digital conversion process includes the whole image.

The Fishing Pole holding the, "Bat," on the fishing line at 8:31? PRICELESS!!!!

I enjoyed the exasperated "OH ROGER!" from Liz sprinkled throughout the clip.

No one played the Charlie upper crust kinda guy better than Louis Edmonds. He was the master.

Just found this show again on Amazon Prime. Love it all over again. Especially Angelique and Barnabas. Most beautiful woman on the series. Loved those piercing green eyes.

LOL..."You make it a stiff one and we're on."...the best unintended double-entendre ever. Great collection of gaffes. Makes you appreciate the fact that they had only one chance to get their lines right.

Just started watching the early episodes and find it very funny that one or another of the characters is either having a drink, or fixing themselves a drink about every five minutes. Would be a perfect show to play a drinking game to!

I am a BIG fan of Dark Shadows back then n now. Quentin played by David Selby was my favorite. I also liked Louise Edmond Roger Collins excellent actor

You missed where Dr. Lang couldn’t remember his lines and you could see someone on stage from the floor telling him his lines. For some reason Dr. Lang was killed off soon after.

The fire extinguisher going off while Barnabas is talking is awesome.

I'm watching the show for the first time now. (I'm in the time travel arc) I keep noticing so many mistakes. I keep thinking, "Did they only do one take for every scene?" Not to mention the hilarious dark comedy, (sometimes unintentional)

LOL ..."examine it under the microphone" There was also a scene during the credits when an actor accidently walked in the room while the credits were rolling and quickly ran out

When we watched the original series in the 60's and 70's we thought nothing of a fly on the forehead of Barnabas. Now seeing this it is really hysterical they filmed the fly landing like this and continued right on.

i used to work with a woman named 'Rusty' who loved to talk about 'The Castle' - it was an apartment building in New York full of gay actors and Louis Edmond was one of the tenants.

I love it💝 I do have much respect for these great actors for what they had to put up with every day, and they keep going and thats very profesoinal, some of these bloopers are hardely noticeable. Paul Bacchus esq

Great footage Classic scenes from the Gothic chiller DARK SHADOWS: always had us/my sister & I on edge wondering what's gonna happen next. Love "all" the scenes shown above: All the actors are "awesome" Carolyn/you go girl..."dancing w/her biker boyfriend Buzz, David being mischievous toward Mrs. Johnson. About the only person that could handle David best was Vicki Winters (Alexandra Moltka-Isles), although he give her tough times, too (everyone really, smile) early on. Maggie (Kathryn Leigh Scott), Joe, Roger, Elizabeth, Burke, Barnabas, Julia, Laura Collins, Adam, Carolyn (Nancy Barrett, all that lovely hair), David, Mrs. J., Willie (John Karlen) and the evil Blair & Trask....etc,. Again, great vintage DS's moments. Enjoyed!!
