Happy MLK Day! Love the finished makeup creation!! I think the new Charlotte Tilbury product is ok. Definitely tinted moisturizer vibes...I hope they will add a few more darker shades, with more undertones! God's blessings shower down on you, your family, and your brand continually in abundance 💜☦🕊🥰💖
I thought that by now we had moved past the brands not having enough range of shades. They still have a lot to learn. Instead of collab with darker hued creators they just put these products out and hope that we are satisfied. Ohemaa, you still look beautiful and the hair is still looking Gorg!
At this day and age brands need to do better with the shade ranges.. You see multiple dark shades but when you look closely you find out that there are no balanced undertones and there are barely shades available for rich deep skin tones.. But when you look at the light shades you see good balance of the undertones!
As a light/medium neutral woman, I’m going to say that while I definitely don’t have the shade issues as darker women but a lot of brand do cool and warm, golden, olive, but sometimes the there’s 4 neutrals in the whole line up and they are nowhere near my shade! The coils are way too pink and the warms are way too yellow one me! I have seriously bought most of the foundations sold at Sephora and Ulta. The only ones I really like and use all the time are Fenty Skin Tint, Chanel CC cream, and the Tarte Cloud one is actually really good!
Heyyyy 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾 I don't get how both of them are considered the shade 17 while being so different in range/depth. Yes, the undertones are different but both should be similar in depth. This ain't it. There also is space for a couple shades between these two. I too think that you should have used the darker one. You made it work, but do we really still need to do this?
That's crazy Rihanna didn't teach these brands shit about color range.. I ain't gone lie I disliked just because of the struggle she was enduring with them shades.. No shade to Ohemaa at all, her vids are always great, it was the lack of shade range I disliked.. 😐
@@luisafrance1635 And before Iman there was Fashion Fair. It’s just sad that several decades later, these other major brands have not caught on. It’s ok because that is why the newer Black owned brands with the shade ranges we need are making millions VERY quickly.
@@luisafrance1635 Of course, but they still didn't have the range of shades like Juvia, or Fenty, Black Opal, Beauty Bakery, E.L.F, Milani, Maybelline, Cover Girl and a few others do..
I've only purchased one thing from CT, and I hated it, it was over hyped, I decluttered it. And the shade range, WTF?! You still looked gorgeous!!! I won't be buying this, definitely not after your review!! 💜💚
Just found your channel looking for reviews on this foundation. Your skin is so gorgeous and has such a healthy glow 😊 I wish my skin was like this. I have severely dry skin so my skin always looks so dull.
Hi, this may not be the best foundation, but I feel like you did a good job! You look really pretty and natural! To me the final look was a good medium, no too much, not too little, and you made it work! 😍
@@Ohemaa hopefully there is an opportunity, on their behalf, to make improvements with this type feedback! Through all of that, the results looked pretty and you did a great job!
I can't agree at all. The beautiful skin foundation gives me a light to medium coverage, if I put a second layer on my cheeks, where I have a bit of redness. Maybe it's about how you put the foundation on. I place it on my skin with the fingers and blend it out with a wet sponge.
The swatches and the shades remind me of the fenty skin tint. Literally just finished rewatching that video and this looks exactly like it. Maybe if you had mixed the two shades like you did with the fenty, maybe you’ll get the “right” shade. either way, we shouldn’t have to work to get the right shade when it should have already been there. 🥴
Blessed ‘Martin Luther King Day’ Queen~ As I could see and hear somewhat of disappointment in the coverage. Once again, you showed us that you are the Ultimate Master Pro. Personally, the look before you completed (past the foundation) was very natural as if it were your own skin. Which is always the look I’m going for in daily usage. Once the concealer applied I did not have any issues with it. ♥️ LOVED THE COMPLETION! And that lip coverage is just the color I’ve been looking for. Thank You💯.
Hello, I’ve been using that foundation for a couple days and it gives me medium coverage. I use a dense brush and then a beauty blender, I’m wondering if that makes a difference since you only got skin tint coverage. Anyway I’m loving it
They are talking too much and waiting too long before blending it out lol maybe. But I saw Alex video and it kept blotching I don’t know why it but it works sooo nicely on my skin 😂😂
I bought so many foundations in 2021, that I’m only giving myself permission to buy 2 foundations in 2022. This one from Charlotte Tilbury was on my list of possibles. The new NARS foundation is on my list. And a brand I just heard of, the Lisa Eldridge The Foundation is on the list. Well, thank you because I’m taking the Charlotte Tilbury off the list of possibles. I’m not interested in a tinted moisturizer, I have a couple that I can use when I want that type finish. But all of the ones that I’ve noticed so far have claims that they’re a natural finish, with medium buildable coverage. The Charlotte Tilbury would require a lot of building. I think the Lisa Eldridge The Foundation has shades that will work for you 💜
@@Ohemaa That KVD Good Apple foundation that was selling out started it all. But the shade was off and I’m using it as a concealer. And it’s a Excellent concealer LoL
Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I Ike the pump on this tube of Charlotte Tilbury tinted moisturizer. Not real crazy about the tinted moisturizer itself. The end result is Very Pretty. Tyfs .🥰🥰
I love the formula of this foundation. To me, with my needs, it is a foundation. I find it buildable in the areas I want. _HOWEVER_ , as someone who is the colour of raw chicken, there is NO shade variation on the palest side of the spectrum. I got the colour 2N and it is SO golden I cannot wear it in public, but I can get away with it on camera. Or maybe a high turtleneck sweater.... In the late summer, it will be a good enough match but even then it is much darker than I usually get. I should have gone with 1N. Even still I am not the palest of pale. There are no colours for the cool tone people. Honestly shameful of the brand to not have any Cool options in the pale shades...
I am very cool toned an 3C works for me. But I have a little bit of tan from skiing. I was afraid to go to 3 since I am pale but it worked out somehow. Your chicken reference made me laugh though.
Okay this is not about you. It's weird to come to a black woman's page to complain about shades not catering to you while I've seen plenty of paler complexioned people rave about CT because of her expansive shade range for lighter complexions.
@@violetindigo2770 I appologise if my comment came off as rude or insensitive. Yes, I should have worded my original comment better; I was just trying to add to the conversation point of strange undertone choices that had been made for this foundation. What I was trying to say was that the Beautiful Skin Foundation line, as a whole, seems like a strange range of undertones. There are not any options for each shade number on the extremes of the scale (ie: 1N but no 1C/1W or even paler like a 0.5 for those with Albinism like the Fenty or Haus Labs ranges have. Also having a 16C but no 16N/16W or options that go deeper then 17N like Ohemaa mentions, comparing again to Fenty & Haus Labs). The colour options is a shame since it is a pretty comfortable formula to wear, again my opinion, some Sephora reviewers have not had that experience.
@clairekookoo I should apologize for sounding accusatory. I don't doubt that pale skintones have difficulty finding products that work for them and it was my mistake to take your comment as hijacking and for that I'm sorry. As far as brand recs for paler skintones go if you're interested, I know fenty and Mufe run pretty light and Smashbox as well
Am I missing something? Shouldn’t 2 shades both labeled as 17 but just different undertones be SOMEWHAT similar in depth, just a different undertone? There is like at least 5 shades in between those two!
@@nancykerrigan I watched the video so I know it's a tinted moisturizer, for clarification I am saying her skin is lovely she doesn't need it. If my skin was as clear I would never use foundation why use skin coverage if your skin is perfect?
It's not like they can't make it, they just won't. I have someone yhat works at lancome and I got bottles of freebies, basically the foundation that has not mixed yet and it's deep, so deep that is deeper than my skin tone, so I have to mix it, but guess what, it's not on the market as a colour, go figure.
🔥🔥🔥👑📖💒🛐🕊🔥🙏🙏🏽🙏🏻Heeey❣everything you put on to help this foundation worked i have her Concealer i don't believe i would consider her foundation because there's not a big draw to her products for me mainly magic cream and Concealer and maybe a Lipstick i may try i don't Like her color story on her Pallet in to date years ago i bought a bush & 4 shadow Pallet 🔥
I'm hardly surprised cos Charlotte Tilbury doesn't need to rely on the black coin to take make money. I'm an nc44 and some companies can't get my shade right. Never ending mess.
I have the Charlotte Tillbury and it looks great on me. One pump on top of Tatcha’s liquid canvass primer. I top with Charlotte’s airbrushed pressed powder. Lasts all day.
I thought black had learned not to beg people to take your money. There so many companies that make up with shade range for black women. If previous attempts had failed, why bother? Also Rihanna was late to shade range for black women....
