For sure! They change completely ng+ onward. The respawn time for each King is reduced each playthrough, and they get more hp. Gotta be really aggressive
@@dacee7943 staying close and circling around him. The weapon does less to you if the hilt hits you rather than the sword. Being aggressive is key for the is fight. When a king dies their animation lingers so you can keep swinging at it. The main attacks you have to watch for is the big aoe and the grab.
Felt most relieved when beating this boss on ng+7 years ago, awesome how each ng+ shortens the King's spawn time making it a great time challenge and DPS check. Havel Armor for Poise, Power Within for more damage and stamina recovery..and swing away
As I was climbing up the ng+'s I could really start to feel the boss health rising. Up to ng+4 I could manage it well, but the later one's, oh boy do they just not die.
Seriously!! Without any buffs they can be overwhelming. Til this day this is the one boss I’m scared of doing without a buff lol. What weapon do you use on them?
@@minoas-sunbro typically I play with greatswords, specifically my ng+7 build I used artorias' normal greatsword, but I believe that sword does a mix of physical and magic damage, but since these guys resist magic I have the cursed version of his greatsword on backup.
Power Within increase damage, stamina recovery and it drains your life, but it’s so powerful. The sword is the Claymore, one of the best movesets in ds1.
For sure!! I think Four Kings is the only boss I need a buff for, so power within was enough at the time. Of course with the buffs you mentioned it would’ve been even better!
@@wiselyx without a doubt! I’m kinda weird and never use buffs though lol. Four Kings on Ng7 always scares me though so power within was my go to. I had never tried to do a no damage video for them so it would probably be a different approach now. I’ve seen videos with the buffs you’re saying, they just melt them! 😂
@@minoas-sunbro haha i was there too. I was scared of the four kings because they said " If you dont kill the first king fast more will spawn" so i died alot to the four kings in my first playthrough.
@@rFaisaI I'm sure you've figured it out yet, but just in case.. When you beat Dark Souls, you get transported back to the beginning of the game. You will still have your gear that you collected but key items such as Embers, important rings for the main quest, and other stuff are gone. Plus in NG+, all of the enemies are buffed. So prepare for a challenge. The difficulty increases up to 7 times and it stops there. TLDR: NG+ is a harder variant than previous playthrough.
@@jjwhy321y3 I'm on NG+2 and it's kicking my butt. Beaten every other boss I've seen so far this run 1st try. Going to go grind a couple levels, upgrade that Havel set and remember to 2 hand my weapon when I get close.
