Anor Londo: From the bonfire shoot the red eyed silver knight ONCE and he'll fall trying to get to you yielding you 4,500 souls without any soul boost in approximately 10 seconds (Could take more than 10 seconds if he refuses to jump). 27,000 a minute, 1,620,000 an hour.
@@Dualbladedscorpion7737 or in the dragon barracks go to your immediate left and there is a redeye lothric knight. He's extremely easy to backstab and kill. 6 thousand souls everytime
For the Grand Archives, if you equip the symbol of avarice right before landing the final blow, the winged knights will drop 25,000 souls resulting in 75 thousand souls per cycle.
@@dylankeefe3266 actually, use sympathy spell and they will kill each other and use it on the last one to kill him without him moving at all. Avarice + serpent ring + medicant staff + the shield (can't remember the name) = more than 90k per 2 minutes
Since I've seen quite a few people asking: Head: Fallen Knight Chest: Dragonscale Gloves: Abyss Watchers Legs: Lorians Sword: Dark Sword Shield: Shield of Want Greataxe: Dragonslayer As far as locations go: Fallen Knight Armor is found in the road of sacrifice shortly before reaching the ladder than leads down to Farron Keep Abyss Watchers can be bought at the Shrine Handmaid aber killing the boss with the same name. Dragonscale can be bought at the Shrine Handmaid after killing the Nameless King. Lorians can be bought at the Shrine Handmaid after killing the Twin Princes. Dark Sword is a random drop from Darkwraiths (earliest one is in high wall of lothric and can be reached after getting a pale tongue and reaching the undead settlement bonfire near the pyro teachers sell or before even killing Vordt if you just kill Ringfinger Leonhard since he drops the key - you will however miss out on a soul that can be transmuted into a miracle (useful for the miracle achievement) as well as the Applaud gesture if you do this) Shield of Want is one of the first items you can see in the water once you enter the Smouldering Lake. And you get the Dragonslayer Greataxe by transmuting the Dragonslayer Armours soul.
+Sean Ton Nope, Dragonscale and Lorians look pretty similar but the area around the hips are different. Lorians legs have solid metal scales in that part while the Dragonscale armor just has what looks like loose leatherstraps which is what you see in this video. But to be perfectly honest it would barely make a difference what legs you use, since they would look almost identical when you're moving around and not just standing still and staring and your characters hip-area xD Compare this: darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Dragonscale+Set to this: darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Lorian's+Armor+Set and to a full frontal view of the character in this video at: 5:58
@@PtkowskiI know I'm a year late, but I gotchu fam Keep line of sight, and try to be as close to them as comfortable without aggroing Getrude's Knights. If you're fast enough on the twin axe fella, he'll aggro a halberd knight and probably die after chopping most of the other dude's HP. This should help a lot
There are 4 items to increase your yield on souls 1. Silver covetous ring 2. Shield of Want 3. Symbol of Avarice 4. Mendicants Staff I don't use Sorcery, but when I kill a big enemy I switch to my weapon to Mendicant staff before the enemy's souls are absorbed and it gives the extra 20% bonus. This works great for the enemy described at 3:16
Its weird nobody mentions this spot but.. I like to farm the small area just outside Yhorm's room. Go to his bonfire and run straight out, kill 4x handmaidens that yield 900 souls each I think without any bonuses, they also have a high drop rate on their daggers, sold for 1000 souls each. After killing the 4 maidens straight ahead of the bonfire, turn around and go left to the closest room with 4 more handmaidens and one gargoyle (Gargoyles give 2500 souls before bonuses, and also drop their weapons that can be sold for 800 more souls, medium droprate) After this go to the opposite room with 6 handmaidens I believe and one more gargoyle, kill them and return to bonfire. This run takes me about 2 minutes depending on how fast I can kill the gargoyles and yields 18600 souls before any bonuses or selling any of the weapon drops. Its also super easy since the handmaidens are squishy and does little to no damage!
+Stephen Damm Bøås Dude that is frieakin awesome. I just went there and got 60k souls in less than 5 minutes. Great for the 80-100SL range probably. I'm gonna farm the hell out of this.
+Setari M I got to Yhorm super early on my first playthrough and farmed this at level 50. Was super easy and quick, except for the times the gargoyles are somewhat annoying and fly up in the air too much. I think its pretty solid ''early'' game farming, glad you liked it!
Ya its a great spot I have a video on it. Gets way more souls than this video especially with farming gear. Which i also have a video on. Dont go watch it though cause thatd be me shamelessly promoting. But yes i love the spot.
Skeletons are slow as fuck. By the time you run from wolnir to the bridge, wake them up, bait reasonable amount and break the bridge for maybe 10k tops I killed silver knights 3 times for almost 20k..
I like farming the 3 silver knights at the bonfire by the top of that rotating elevator; it's about 11,500 in souls plus 99% of the time they all drop items whether its silver knight armor pieces, large titanite, or titanite shards. A sweep of the 3 enemies takes about 2 minutes and you're never far from the bonfire so there's no need to worry about losing your souls or getting invaded and having to travel all the way back to your souls if you die. I have timed myself and when I got really good I could do a loop in a minute and fifteen seconds and I'd be back at the bonfire to reset the enemies. Its about 100,000 souls every 12 minutes!
+Archn Scythe Yeah, but the symbol is a pain now. It weighs 11.0, and it eats your health for as long as you're wearing it. Really not sure it's worth the pain anymore.
Just do my method if you're a pyromance, Archdragon peak bonfire, wear shield/ring/avarice. Kill those 2 long necks there literally just a second away from bonfire. Use Black Fire Ball with 40 int/faith to instant kill them One-Shot. Both kills total up to 6k souls. That's in only 6-8 seconds for 6k souls and to bonfire, never have to worry about getting hit or fail enemy encounter and can immediately heal self from bonfire to recover health from avarice's life drain. 2.6m+ souls per hour
Better tactic: (because I love you) -Equip Mendicants' staff, a bow, shield of want, silver serpent ring, helm of avarice -Anor Londo bonfire -From the bonfire (before the stairs) aim your bow at the red eyed knight that spawns on the right side of the castle (facing the castle) and fire -the timing is super easy when you get the hang of it -The knight will agro and try to run toward you, then stop standing on the ledge of the balconey -switch to mendicants staff -the knight falls off trying to turn around -9500 souls (pretty much 10k) The whole process is less than 30 seconds long, you're right next to a bonfire, and only costs 1 arrow. Sometimes the knight doesn't fall, just hit the bonfire and try again, it's most likely to work. I'll accept your thanks in advance
when i first started out, one of my favorite farming spot was to drop kill the large rat in the sewer by the dilapidated bridge. It drops 500 souls with the occasional consumable soul, and the walk back is super fast. climb back up and repeat. Its not a lot of souls, but early game its pretty useful.
early game you should use highwall of lothric and let the wyvern kill alot of the enemies for you. is roughly 2k souls every 10 minutes once you get it down and it is really easy.
Years later I want to add that the farming at Archdragon Peak is actually so safe that you can equip the Mimic Head for even more souls. Since the Knight will rarely have any chance of fighting back, the Drain if 10 HP per second isnt really all that bad.
Top of Lothric Castle, use Rapport on the 3 winged knights, then watch them fight to the death, with Shield of want, serpent ring, and averice symbol, they give 25k per kill. Also before you step off of the elevator, make sure it does back down, so that when you go back to the bonfire(grand archieves) via homeward bone or coiled sword fragment, you dont have to pull the lever to bring it back down. Remember, to activate the grand archieves short cut, before attempting this(the aforementioned elevator)
+Pancrasea Forgot to add that, and I reccommend using "Hidden Body", witht he staff so that once the Rapport spell wears off the Knight that survived the fight wont see you.
@@sinsofthelastdawn8942 Holy shit...I’m new to DS but I read about it’s not doing too much difference after you have 40-50 in some specific stats..is that right?..I read about for example that your HP only goes up +1 after you reach 50 in the stat..
@@donchi1234 yeah, you will probably want to cap everything at 40 or 50, but there is an npc named Yole of Londor below the Foot of the High Wall, and every new game cycle you do on your character, he resets and you can get 5 levels every completion of the game on that character. I'm max level now because of that.
Zaia Kiryakoz Or even just the first two on the staircase. Bit of practice and you can off both with backstabs in 30s to 1min, run to the bonfire, rinse and repeat. Also good for farming Proofs of a Concord Kept.
Also for the drakeblood knight in Archdragon Peak, the first time you kill it, you get 10000 souls. Every subsequent spawn only yields 5400. However, if you run back to the bonfire after every kill, you'll get 10k every time. It's actually faster than letting them spawn.
Huh. I need to try this. I did something similar and got about 670000 in a hour, I just simply killed it when it would spawn though. Also I thought it was 4400? At least with the ring that's what I earned.
@@SorowFame it's 15 int and maybe 10 faith (maybe 0 faith I can't remember) so it's not that much an investment I think but I understand some build could struggle to stay in PvP levels PS sorry for my bad english
If you have high intelligence just use a dark dagger and run to the one who stays alone before they drop, as soon as he drops backstab him the first backstab will be easy then hit him a couple of times then backstab him again, the first one should be the easiest so don't take a lot of time with him but after that go the one standing still and not the one with the axes then do the same thing but watch out for the other one when you feel he is close just run in the opposite direction and let the one you're fighting to follow you then kill him, and finally kill the last one which is in my opinion the easiest to backstab
The items that increase souls dropped are the covetous silver serpent ring (+10%), the shield of want (+20%), the mendicant staff (+20%, rare drop from the summoners in Archdragon Peak) and the symbol of avarice (+50%, rare chance of being dropped by any mimic, must be farmed with undead hunter charms). With all of these combined you can reach an outrageous +137,6% of souls dropped. For exemple, the knights summoned in Archdragon Peak, who have the very good idea of giving you plenty of time to switch to the mendicant staff between the moment they die and the moment they grant you souls, will provide a solid 9504 souls per kill with the full combo of items. EDIT : Contrary to what I wrote before, the symbol of avarice does not have 100% drop chance from the last mimic, so keep one mimic alive if you want to farm it. UPDATE : With the release of The Ringed City DLC you can now get the covetous silver serpent ring +3 in NG, which grants a bonus of +35% of souls dropped. Thus if you own this DLC you can now get a ridiculous +191.6% (or *2.916) of souls dropped by combining the four items mentioned above, without even having to reach NG+2.
+LeMageFro with all those items you can get roughly 31k souls from the winged fatty near grand archives bonfire - 3 of them = 93k souls in less than 5 min
+BestWarriorEU So the question is : is it faster to run from the bonfire and kill the 3 golden winged guys or to kill 10 of the infinitely respawning knights ? I like the knights because with many +10 heavy weapons a backstab with the hornet's ring will almost one shoot them, making it super fast, but on the long run it's also super boring.
When it comes to the Drakeblood farming, every first knight yields twice as many souls so if you return to the bonfire outside and rest between each kill you lose a few seconds but get that delicious double soul boost from every single kill. Including the symbol of avarice and swapping your right hand weapon to the medicant staff when you kill them, you'll get another 70% extra souls. Even the health loss of avarice isn't a problem when you rest between each kill. This earns you a total of 20760 souls per kill if I remember right.
Grand Archives bonfire, elevator shortcut. Instead of going across the giant walkway to the Princes, turn around and go behind you. Equip Symbol of Avarice, Covetous Silver Serpent Ring, and the Shield of Want. Kill the three golden winged knights. You just received over 78,000 souls in a matter of minutes. Rinse and repent. The absolute best method.
Slumbering Dragoncrest ring makes it a lot easier, too. Stand in front of the doorway when they land, wait for the Axe Knight to notice you, run through the doorway and down the stairs, pick him off. Slumbercrest ring also lets you get in a free backstab on both halberd knights, and lets you fight one without aggroing the other.
sonicbun My suggested tactic is really for those who have trouble with them, for whatever reason. Different people find different enemies hard, after all, due to different playstyles.
A good one for really early on in the game is the Dipilated Bridge where the giant rat is. Drop attack the rat and it's two little rats and you'll get 545 souls per run. This is less than an hour into the game.
Not Important dont be an asshole, i was 10+ and i winder around the world and do all exploring possible also it was my 1st game since demon souls and bloodborne, which made me forget to use shield a lot, so i died a couple of times :D if the game is good, why playing it too fast?
It took me like 15-20 hours to get that far. Well, I switched class 3 times, thief to knight then finally Pyromancer. I wanted to find the one for me. And throwing fireballs around was great. Since I also hadn't played games similar to this in over a year, I had to take my time and practice. I also spent a lot of time customizing the character each reroll.
I was 12-16 hours in at that point, damn addicted to PVP I didn't even care to move to the next area even though I was constantly fighting twinks it was still a blast
I found that the 3 Silver Knights before Aldritch was a very good spot, on regular NG, with just the Silver Serpent Ring, they drop around 2500, then the red eye version gives about 4000. If you can kill them fast, then this area is amazing.
+Asher Edmondson Agreed, it's an awesome spot : the bonefire is right next to the knights so even if you die, there's zero risk not to get your souls back. Farming here with silver serpent ring, shield of want and symbol of avarice combined is a blast.
+Asher Edmondson If you use a rusty gold coin in this zone the knights are guaranteed to drop 1-2 tianite shards every time you kill them... I have 100+ and going
I just farm the Silver Knights in Anor Londo, they're literally the easiest enemies to get around. Just walk left or right as soon as the spear one spots you because he'll always charge at you, you'll end up right behind him. For the two sword wielders, just wait for them to rush you with their slam attacks, you can walk around them too
This is my first souls game and I'm loving it. Nearing the end and I'm trying to push my SL up to 120 as quickly as possible so that I can finish out my build and buy everything that I want to transfer into NG+. This guide is awesome, thanks so much!
having played dark souls 1 and sekiro I need to say both those games are better than dark souls 3, especially when it comes to early game ds3. DS1 has A TON of options early game, especially when you get the master key gift during character creation. from the moment you get to Firelink Shrine you can go to undead pariah (first proper area), new londo ruins, valley of drakes, blighttown and catacombs. DS3 is extremely linear in that regard. This means you can get access to almost endgame gear very early, doing suicide runs through areas, picking stuff up. Sekiro, while linear and having only 2 early game areas (ashina outskirts and hirata estate) is definitely the most polished fromsoft game when it comes to combat. DS3 has a terrible targeting system and camera. Sekiro's camera only struggles in very tight areas. So I highly recommend these games. Oh and of course: skip dark souls 2. It sucks a ton. Mauler did like an hour long video listing all the mechanics that are shite in DS 2 but ass level design is definitely one of the biggest offenders
@@miqvPL dude. This comment was from 1 year ago. Also, Dark souls 2 is an amazing game, it’s not bad just beacause it’s not the best in the series. And dude, have you even played the ds3 dlcs? The ds3 base game and dlcs combined are way better that ds1. (sekiro is still better tho)
@@cutebunny6361 so what, one year ago counts as forgotten past now? Dark souls 2 is not an amazing game, it's at it's best "ok" and barely playable at it's worst. You didn't give a single argument defending it while I have an hour+ of arguments against it. I played ds3 dlcs, they suffer from ass level design (for example- climbing down the bridge part in first dlc) and questionable enemy design (giant dudes summoning phantoms, respawning angels shooting energy rains) while not fixing any of the base game issues. They're still painfully linear and the story added isn't anything world changing, the outcome of the dlc doesn't impact the main game in any meaningful game other than changing one npc's dialogue, changing 1 line. dlc boss battles were rather well designed for the most part, at least the 2 final ones. It's still a 6/10 game overall, good and worth playing but far from dark souls 1. Friendly reminder that DS1 is called one of the best video games of all time, for a good reason.
For the Grand Archives roof you can attune Invisible Body and Rapport and when you run up the steps to where the Ascended Winged Knights drop down, hide in the building and cast Invisible Body immediately, then Rapport one of the knights on the left (from the perspective of someone inside the little room at the top, facing out the door.) They'll kill each other and I'd you're real lucky the third one will join in too. With the Shield of Want, Silver Serpent Ring and Symbol of Avarice equipped, killing all three knights nets over 75K per run, and if you have an upgraded bow and use Invisible Body in conjunction with corner cover, you can kill the last one without it even aggroing on you. If you get good and Homeward Bone back to the fire after the third one dies (you'll be able to afford all the Homeward Bones you could ever want and they won't even make a dent,) you can grab that 75K souls in about 3-5 minutes and it's extremely easy. I went from level 99 to 148 in just a couple hours of playtime, doing other stuff in between runs when I felt like going.
I farmed around the Abyss Watchers' fight for about an hour, so now I have 21 Vigor, 17 endurance, 19 Vitality, and 25 strength. I beat the Crystal Sage after so much rage of almost killing it and then failing. Then I fought the abyss watchers, somehow beat them first try, and dumped everything into their armor and weapon. And now it's time to dump 9 levels into Dexterity so I can wield the boss weapon and become an Abyss watcher myself. Yeah if you couldn't tell I'm doing a strength build but also really like the Abyss Watchers.
But its still farming instead of playing game and kill hard bossem :D i like when ppl are talking later that some bosses are easy but they fight against them at 50lvls more they should.
@@maxdrags3115 no it's not. The game is suppose to be no hand holding. So basically, you get kicked into the game, learn the controls. And that's it, find the rest of the thing by yourself.
You should've mentioned the area before the boss Yorm, the giant. Every fire nun gives you around 1.2k and they're easy peezy to kill and there's plenty. And there's also 3 fire gargulas by them and they give 3.3k each. You can make 30-40k every 5 minutes
And the avarice helm. It's 120k souls every 2 minutes for the last one he mentioned (vanilla game no NG+) and you don't even have to fight them properly because rapport works on them. After that can just cast soreceries like great dregs
these are my favorite spot soul farming beside what shown in this video 1. anor londo bonfire. this spot has 3 silver knight with one of them is the red eye ver. i use only covetous silver ring and on NG, the normal knights drop 2200 souls and the red eye one drops 4400 souls (CMIIW). they also guaranteed drop titanite shards and sometimes large titanite. also they can drop their armor set as well as their shield. you might want to sell those things if you already like in mid or end game cuz extra souls would be welcomed 2. yhorm the giant bonfire. this spot has 3 gargoyles and a lot of those casters. ther gargoyle are pretty easy to stagger with heavy weapons and usually you can one shot those casters with enough dmg. i forgot how much souls they dropped but its still pretty good farm spot. also the gargoyle will drop their weapon and you can sell them too if you want. 3. champion gundyr bonfire. this spot has 3 black knights and each of them i think drop aroun 2000 or 4000 souls. they also drop their armor and weapons very frequent although its not guarantee drop each run. 4. the whole grand archives. believe me, other than the lothric knights and few gargoyles (dont count the winged knights), this spot is pretty good spot and you always guaranteed ended up at that elevator which takes you to the very first bonfire. this is just a bonus if you already open all the shortcuts and basically just wanna get super exploring as well as maybe to get the flameberge and the thrall set.
@@Aramaru-fq2gn or people struggle where they do and being a dick to people who are trying and actually enjoying the game is shitty gatekeeping? Rather than just saying what you did how about being constructive and offering tips. It's not difficult to be helpful
The last farming location you mentioned was spot on, but it's even better than 100k-150k every 10 minutes. I was there today and managed to hit 1 million souls in 40 minutes, or 250k every 10 min, so I can definitely recommend anyone else to farm the three fat dudes.
+bbestia Plus the added benefit from occaisonal armor, titanite shard / large titanite shards and Proof of concord kept makes this an amazing spot to farm as long as you take out the knights quickly
If you have the DLC, and if you're using all soul boosting items. Go to the bonfire before the Gael fight when you leave bank hard left and you'll fined a solo ringed knight, killing him gives you 31k souls per kill, use homeward bone and you can average 31k a min, and around 330k every 10. Hope this helps late game farming.
I'd recommend Anor Londo as well. The 3 Silver Knights not so far from the bonfire. If I remember correctly I'd gain around 11000 souls per run with Silver Serpent Ring equipped. And it should take 1-2 mins for one round, it's quite good.
+Thaibiohazard123 the 3 fat engel guys before the Prince fight is the best way to farm. one of them gives you in NG+ 51k souls so 150k souls in 2 minutes. in NG one of them gives you 22k Souls
Best farming spot is first bonfire in Archdragon Peaks. 1 soul spear to kill the 2 enemies in front (it always hit both if you stand in the correct spot), 1 soul spear to kill the one to the left, reset. 140,000 souls every minute in NG+.
My personal Spot is the Anor Londor Bonfire with the 3 Silver knights. Something around 17/18k every 30-40 Seconds + they have a 100% chance to drop something + they have a chance for the darkmoon covenant item + they are easy to defeat.
My favorite spot is the Archdragon Peak bonfire. Kill the four man-serpents closest to the bonfire, rest and repeat. With Avarice, Want, and serpent ring you get about 12k to 13k souls per run and each round takes about 30 seconds.
When you are coming out of Yhorms arena, to the left is a room with a Gargoyle and 8 maids, to the right is one Gargoyle and 4 maids, right in front of Yhorms arena is a room with 4 maids and then after the room to the right upstairs on the bridge is one gargoyle. If you kill all of these guys you get 20.000 souls in like 5 min.
If you get the pyromancy flame that makes enemies turn on eachother, you should just do the last one. Use it on the winged angels and not only will two of them killl eachother, but if you use it on the 3rd, he will just stand there and let you kill him. 15,000 souls per angel, so 45,000 souls in about 3-5 min. But I also dont have sheild of want or other boosts, so it could even be better.
I usually farm at the dragon barracks underneath the bridge. The two corruptions give 34560 souls each run. Using the symbol of avarice, shield of want and covetous silver serpent ring. I'm ng+ though but I get around 23,5 k a minute and it's very easy if you stagger them with fire.
A tip for the last one, if you use Rapport (a Pyromancy) the winged knights just fight each other and wont fight back if you attack them so it becomes really easy and I found that in new game they give about 100,000 souls per run if you use the covetous silver serpent ring +3, shield of want, symbol of avarice and the mendicants staff so it's pretty much the best farming spot in the game.
The BEST location (mostly gone now)was the grand archive elevator and being summoned o fight the three npcs there. I got 3million souls in under half an hour by being summoned NON STOP each round gave me 35.000 souls... Get summoned, fuck up the npcs and black stone back home to be summoned again. I was laughing my ass off.
I farm the anor londo bonfire there are two silver knights up the stairs you can kill them to get 12000 each kill and they are very easy to kill amd will always spawn back (its good because the bomfire is directly mext to the stairs)
Best spot for me is do a round through the lower grand archives. Killing all the wax guys and backstab the knight on the balcony then return back down the elevator to the bonfire. It's around 40-50k each run but you can turn your brain off and watch a show next to it.
I found a good farming place the first bonfire in anor londo at the bottom of the steps look to the right and you will see a silver knight equip a bow and hit it with an arrow, it will run to the edge of the cliff its standing on and fall off, sometimes it takes 1-3 arrows but on standard game you get 4k souls per kill and just rest at the bonfire lather rinse repeat. I found this as I was trying to farm proofs of a concord kept but came up empty handed.. managed to get over 100k souls in under 10mins and over 400k in an hour
I've found one of the more beneficial farming locations for embers and souls is Champion Gundyr's bonfire, you just draw the black knights to the gate and can easily dispatch them (since they won't cross to the boss arena) with chaos bed vestiges and black fire orb if you've a pyro build, as well as pestilent mist and any ranged strong miracle/spell if you're a caster, though I've found they're weaker to fire (and pestilent mist is a cheat code lol). Since pestilent mist does damage depending on the enemy's HP, it's insanely effective, it usually takes me half a minute per black knight and I've farmed 2 embers, as well as black knights equipment and around 40k souls with silver covetus ring +3 in like, 5 minutes. This has worked great for me with my NG+6 run.
You actually missed a really amazing farming location there. If you start at the first Archdragon Peak bonfire, there are four man-serpents there that are very easy to take out and yield a shitton of souls, with the bonfire very near by to reset quickly. They also drop large titanite shards in about 80% of cases (not measured, just by feeling) and have a pretty decent drop rate for chunks, too. Pop a rusted coin, strap on that symbol of avarice and get farming. Just thought I'd let you and everyone else know about that :)
Update: I just tried this in NG+. For about a 30 second run (at max, that's if you're kinda slow) with Symbol of Avarice, Shield of Want and Covetous Silver Serpent Ring +1, you get about 26k souls per run. Pretty fucking insane imo.
My best farming way was this: Attune Rapport pyromancy (if you have 15 intelligence at least), use it to charm one of the Angel knights in Grand Archives rooftops, let him fight the other one. Whoever will survive the fight, will have less enough healthbar to get one shotted. Then charm the third one, use backstabs and he’ll go down without landing a hit. This way I managed to get 300K souls in every 10 minutes with almost no difficulty, it was insane.
I just got into ds3, i am EXTREMELY late, however, on the off chance that someone new is also watching this: Anor Londo - with shield of want i get 16,000 souls every 5 mins, for more early to mid game since it is after Pontiff in Irithyll Just lure out the spear silver knight and fight him, then the sword guy, then walk left and theres another red eyed sword guy, all are easy since they move slow, good luck
I always Just spawned at the Anor Londo bonfire, killed the three silver knights over and over again. got about a few thousand Souls a kill. thanks for the vid, really helped! gratz on so many views!
+Tokisaki Kurumi Finally! I felt like I was the only one to find it's a great farming spot. Easy mobs for 7500 souls without ring/shield in roughly 3 minutes
Kaiev put on the want shield, the mimic helmet, and a ring. you will get 4500 for each knight which equals 9000, then go back to bonfire and repeat, on average it takes 30 seconds to get those 9000 souls, so on average you get 18,000 souls per minute. I avoid killing the third knight because it is much faster not to do it and he is slightly risky fight anyway.
A little tip for anyone going to the Grand Archives to farm, invest some sufficient points into the required stat to use the Rapport pyromancy, it really helps with dealing with the winged knights since you can make one of them your ally and deal with the other while you pacify the last one and keep backstabbing him, he'll never aggro on you, if you are having trouble with cast time be sure to have a spot available to equip the Sage ring.
+Evake The chest piece is the armour of The Name Less king which you can buy from the merchant in Firelink shrine after killing him. The legs are from Lorian of the Twin Price boss fight. Head piece is the Fall Knight Helmet, not sure about the gloves tho.
Location summary: 1:08 Farron Keep, Abyss Watchers bonfire, the ghrus and darkwraiths killing each other. ~2,000 souls/min. 1:42 Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, Distant Mansion bonfire, the sewer centipedes in the first room of the sewer. ~9,000 souls/min. 2:11 Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, Church of Yorshka bonfire, the route of knights. ~3,600 souls/min plus titanite shards. 3:13 Archdragon Peak, Dragon-Kin Mausoleum bonfire, the drakeblood knights summoned by the man serpent summoner. ~10,000-20,000 souls/min with a powerful enough weapon. 4:44 Grand Archive, top of the elevator, the three winged knights. Up to ~12,000 souls/min plus large titanite shards.
In case someone will read it, if you want to farm souls in the most efficient way, you'll have to invest a bit in magic to get a Rapport pyromancy. It basically forces an enemy to fight for you. You go on top of the roof with 3 winged knights, immediately rapport the closest one (there should be 2 that drop from the tower really close to each other) and then go take care of the third one while these 2 figure out which one of them will be killed later when you finish off the third one. On NG+5 I was farming around 800k souls per 10 minutes this way, 150k per run / per 1,5 minutes, but it doesn't always go as planned
Anor Londo is definitely the best place, each knight gives 2500 souls and you can lure them right next to the bonfire do dying isn't even an issue as you Cam retrieve your souls straight away. They also drop something every time without fail.
+MoonBoone I did this too. Easy to kill with backstabs and with just the silver serpent ring you get ~10k souls every run which only takes a minute or two.
I prefer the golden winged Knights. I'm in journey 6 and with all xp boosts they drop around 250,000 souls each. And they also drop large titanite every time, and occasionally a chunk.
What I'm doing is I shoot the Silver Knight on the overlooking area with a Longbow. Somehow it would always try to move forward and forward until it falls down to its death, giving me +5250 souls. Then I bait the Spear-Silver Knights to the bridge connecting the spiraling tower and the Anor Londo bonfire. They can't walk to that bridge and would simply walk away or try to hit you. You can basically shove their shields and stab 'em both, with 3300 souls each. In 10 minutes you've gained at least 59,400 souls. :)
DB P if you have the right gear (Symbol of Avarice, silver serpent, shield of want) You can get about 18k souls from just the 3 silver knights by the bonfire. When you get good at it, one run takes about 1 to 1.5 minutes. So thats about 120k souls in ten minutes. Since you have the symbol of avarice on, you also get lots of drops like small and large titanite shards with 1 or even sometimes two pieces of armor that you can then sell for 500 souls each. At the end of my farming I sold the armor for like another 50k souls and I had almost 400 titanite shards in storage.
A good way to farm the Winged Knights is to get 15 int and get rapport and then run in and rapport the lone Winged Knight on the left, kill him and then hurry and rapport the other halberd wielding knight. If you did it fast enough the other knights should go at it and you should be able to kill them pretty easily while they're fighting
For Solo is Grand Archives BigBoi Angels, you play backstab and easy peasy. If you play with a friend who wants to farm too, Archdragon, kill that knight and your pal will do same with the Rapier guy spawning near the Nameless King Boss. Use the shield+mimichead+serpentring3+change your weapon to the staff the serpents use to spawn this guys, it's 11k each kill so you and your friend generating 22k each 6 seconds. This overwhelms any other farming spot in the game. Cheersssssss
If you are too early in the game for these areas, the bon fire at Yhorm the giant is good. There are around 16 jailor Handmades and three Headless Gargoyles to take out. All together it is around 31770 souls. These enemies are not too difficult and the other perk here is that there is a high drop rate for hand made daggers(+1000 sl), gargoyle flame hammers and flame spears (+800 sls each) so that is a lot of loot to sell, also they drop a ton of rusted coins.
This is great! I found another one to add, using the Ringed Inner Bonfire in the Ringed City DLC just normally go throughout the area and kill every enemy. Once you get outside with the Harald Legion big guys, run right and up the stairs and do a plunging attack on the left side onto the curse enemy, then run straight and hug the right wall and cross the bridge and get into that left corner just beyond the bridge - then lure the harald legion enemies toward you - they will swing halfway on the bridge and cant hit you, falling off, then line up and do a plunging attack which is an instant KO (or use the first set of stairs and trap them/ agrro up the stairs.....grants like +100k per run in idk 5-15 mins! ...I need to get myself that mimic headpiece & staff! Thanks again, cheers!
You forgot the best one yet Farm the 3 silver knights in Anor Londo. In your first playthrough, the 2 lesser knights yield 2500 souls each, and a guaranteed drop (titanite shard, large titanite shard, gear, darkmoon covenant item). The other knight gives 4000 souls, and same drops. In NG+, they drop 3x the souls (7500 & 12000).
Personally, I find the first bonfire of Archdragon peak to be the best. you can get ~10k souls for clearing the 4 manserpents right next to the bonfire, so you can easily get 100k in maybe 5 minutes depending on how fast you can clear them its the best for late game farming, as you need to have access to the peak first of all, and you need to be able to quickly kill the 4 mobs to get the best returns
I do like 300-360k souls every 10 minute at the Archdragon Peak Bonfire killing those 2 long neck monster (With Shield/Ring- Drops 2950 souls). Literally lock-in & one-shot both of them with only Black Fire Ball spell in just 4-5 seconds total (40 int/faith). Then take 2 second to bonfire. So it only took me like 6-8 second just to farm 6k souls. It's both safe & fast. Therefore more than this infinite knight spawn, but that is if you don't do pyromance.
(Sadly, the unit limit of youtube forces me to split this text into several comments. ) Hello there, this is a nice farming method that is worth doing it for me too, now that I found it. Did you find it yourself? Anyway, I tried this method and found a trick by myself, which I want to tell you now as a thank-you for showing me your(?) method. You can multiply your outcome by 1.5 with this trick, the only catch/problem is: It only works with the spell "crystal-soulspear", so you'll need a high lvl in intelligence to make enough damage to one-hit them with that spell aswell.
+Stylianos Karagiannidis Now for the trick: Right inbetween the bonfire and the right one (viewing from the bonfire) of those two monsters you probably mean (the closest ones - not up the stairs, but to the right from the stairs, I'm pretty sure we both mean those), there is like an unfinished circle of white stones on the ground (4 stones, forming a circle, but there's space for more, thus "unfinished" - three in a curve and one opposite to them) If you stand right in the middle of that circle while casting crystal-soulspear at the right monster, then another one, a little further behind, will be hit and killed too, by the same soulspear you shot, as they pierce through targets. Then you can kill the other one aswell and will have three kills instead of two in the same amount of time. I've tried if you could eventually even get four, by standing in such a line with the other two, so that you could kill the one further back in that area too the same way, but it sadly doesn't work well(or at all), because there's a pillow in the way :/ Anyway, I hope I could help you and others with this like you helped me and others :)
+Stylianos Karagiannidis Update: Those white stones seem to spawn sometimes and sometimes not... However, that's not a problem. You can just mark your sweet spot with one or more prism stone(s). Problem begone :)
+Stylianos Karagiannidis Another update: Tjose white stones were the ones you find in small stacka all over the place, when you walk over them or there's a hitbox/damage near them, they fall down, land and lay differently every time, so you cannot really use them for orientation well, so just use a prism stone ;)
READ THIS! Required items- shield of want, serpent ring, mimic head( to get mimic head throw undead hunter charms at mimic chests) Go to arch dragon peak at the arch dragon peak bonfire and quickly kill the 4 serpent men to the right of the bonfire. I get 3645 souls each and about 15 k souls every 30 seconds. You're welcome
For anyone wondering the actual best spot is the lothric castle bonfire use crystal soul spear and it can kill the two knights at the same time ( the one at the door way and shield knight just down the hallway) on new game 6 you get about 37,000 souls every 10 seconds. You can get more souls from this method then even killing the winged knights on the archives in one minute and thirty seconds which gives around 270,000 souls which is about 33,000 souls every 10 seconds.
Dude. Most folk need this in the early game. So the rats in the village and then clear out the area the giant shoots with his arrows. At the chapel where Siegward is in the well you can kill the worshippers and run around the worm guys for about 3.5k a turn. Then inside Lothric castle you can bait the 3 knights then run up killing everything before the dragons for over 20k each run. Just get 30 Int and cheese the dancer then sprint past everyone to the bonfire. By the time you have enough levels for 30 int you'll have a couple of tongues to take off your build for the dancer then put it back on once you've beat her.
Thank you for the video! Also, I want to point out something, Symbol of Avarice (TF2 worthy mimic hat) increases soul drop as well, with the whole set you presented + mimic hat those spider-things gave me 1485 souls instead of 990, pretty great boost!
I'm a bit late, just started playing this game. Instead of number 2-3, you can farm profane capital. On your way to Yhorm, there's a few white robe cultist and some flying rock thing with a spear. The path is quite simple, go down the ladder, cross the bridge. Go inside and jump down to attack the 4 cultist on your left. The flying rock will have landed in front of the hallway to yhorm, kill it. After that, kill the 4 around the fire cauldron (the one shooting at you when you were on the bridge). Make your way to the last spot where there's a lot of cultist, you have time to kill 1-2, pull the flying rock that just landed back where the fire cauldron is. He will get stuck at the door, kill the remaining white culist coming through. Kill the flying rock. Make your way back to the initial bridge and kill the last flying rock. Over 21k (no buff) in less than 4minutes. Not the best, but it's a fun rotation.
In Cleansing Chapel, if you have a fire weapon, it's quite lucrative to kill those monsters behind the chapel. There are 4 of them, each give 600 souls and have a good chance of dropping a soul that can be used for 400 more souls. It's better than around the Abyss Watchers, in my opinion.
+burns0100 Try throwing Undead Rapport (Pyromancy) into the mix as well if you have 15 Int, it will cause them to fight one another for about 30 seconds.
TerraMantis I prefer to chain backstab each of them. I run up past the first two and kill the one in the back first, he drops right down in front of me for a free backstab, kill him then go around and kill the roaming one then back to kill the last one who is standing where he dropped. 3 back stabs each and they are dead. Thats just with a 40 luck min stat Anri Build at lvl80. I enjoyed the video, i have seen some of your stuff before so i might check out what else your done for Dark Souls 3.
I usually do this run: In Irithyll of the boreal Valley, Anor Londo bonfire, go through spinning tower, activate it, and exit at the bottom that will lead to the roofs. From there, kill the 6 silver knights, go to the "garden" area, kill the 9 Priest that shoot fire falls and the 2 giants. This run will earn you 168k souls in about 4/5 minutes if you use the ring/shield feature in the video and with the symbol of avarice. Then just use a homeward bone or go to the Puntiff Sulyvahn bonfire to repeat the cycle.
in the bonfire closest to the abyss watchers, right behind there are 3 enemies that give each 350 without any souls boost ring/shield and if you go a bit further right before the dark knight there is a stronger enemy that drops 450, but going for the 3 is better you should get 2100 souls every minute if you have a good weapon and do it fast enough but you should at least get 1050 (without any boosts) and with boosts you should get 2300 ish every minute
Anor Londor - Farm the 2 Silver Knights there for a decent amount. Equip The Shield of Want, Silver Serpent Ring, and the Mimic Head for increased soul drop. Mimic head doubles the spot as a Large Titanite farm as a bonus
+Alastor Nightheart If only there was a realistic way of getting the fucking Symbol of Avarice...But no, FROM had to make it a random drop, hence why I haven't gotten it in over two full playthroughs.
+The Sanguine Soldier I got it at the Irythill Dungeon, that shit is essential if you ever want to farm for anything, why you have to farm for it, is beyond me.
For farming without annoyance of fighting and 115000 Souls in 5 minutes (can be done with any Class, but the math where did for the Pyro): If you are a pyro and have the "chaosbed vestiges" pyromancy, you can farm pretty easy after the dancer fight on the Lothric Castle bonfire. You equip the silver serpent ring, the shield and the mimic head, spawn, go a step back, cast chaosbed 2 times on the Knight going through the door, loot him and kill with another cast the wonder caster behind the door, run back, sit at the bonfire and repeat... Every run takes around 12-15 seconds until you sit at the fire again. Every run gets you 6900 souls. I did 10 runs in 3:15 Minutes, which means: -> 23.000 in 1 Minute -> 115000 in 5 Minutes -> 1.4 Million in an hour + Every run gets you 1 large Titanite Shard + the possibility of 1 Titanite Chunk ~ every 20 runs + lots and lots of Lothric Knight Set-Items which can be sold for many more souls. I did that for little over 1/2 an hour and had ~20 of every armor Item and many weapons and every once in a while a rare drop of a sunlight medal. You don't have to walk anywhere and pretty much don't have to fight anything because they are dead before anything can reach you. You can use the mimic head, because you are not health dependent.
