To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Crystal Infusions. The damage is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of vertical physics most of the swings will go over a typical hosts head. There’s also Orbeck's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Seath's scrolls, for instance. The darkwraiths understand this stuff; they have the intelligence leveled high enough to truly appreciate the depths of these invasions, to realise that they’re not just ganks- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Crystal Infusions truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Andre’s existential catchphrase "Prithee be careful,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Gwyndolin's Lordranian epic Fathers and Suns. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Hidetaka Miyazaki's genius hitboxes unfold themselves on their computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them. And yes, by the way, i DO have a Big Hat Logan tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the scholar ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 intelligence levels of my own (no Scholar's ring allowed sweetie) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
I don't know why anyone would actually be willing to look for books in the Grand Archive. The place has worse customer service than the Duke's Archive, and they used maneating pigs as greeters there. Heh.
Is it just me or is the murakumo lowkey one of the best weapons in the game? Its a curved greatsword, so it rollcatches like hell, has massive hyper armor for very little poise, looks sick as hell, and seems to get an A-S scaling with nearly every infusion.
Dude, I've been following you since the Big Boy video, and I have to say that very few people in youtube keep making jokes and videos as creative as yours in proportion with the time you have been into it. Keep it up my mang.
As a nerd who frequent library I can confirm that crystal curved greatsword works magic. Except mine has this black stain at the tip and does a slam instead of a cool unparriable twirl. Asian guy, surely this is not a serious condition? Edit: grammar
That invasion at 8:25 was similar to Palpatine killing the three Jedi Masters. All three of them had the reaction time of molasses in winter time, just conspicuously leaving their guard open. Strange fellows.
Just got this new Crystalkumo, its real fun to swing up here in the Grand Archives. But you wanna know what I like more than crystalkumos? *K* *N* *O* *W* *L* *E* *D* *G* *E* Crush a can for Shelly, y'all...
well just in case you invade in catacombs and went pure INT but not enough stats for Toxic or Poison fog then the storyteller WA can help with a poison fog
I have been teetering on the brink of insanity as I have been up til 4am for a straight week working on my final project for my mechanical engineering class. I decide to pull up one youtube video to try and calm myself before i literally curl up in a ball and cry on the floor. Maybe it's cuz I am no longer in a conscious state of mind were I am aware of my actions, but 5:25 'Dewey Decimal representin' somehow broke me- through the fortified wall of stress and anxiety, and had me laughing inexplainably hard for absolutely no reason.
Do you assume all password summoned phantoms are overleveled in the "toggleTryHard" equation? Or do you like do crazy math in your head on first glance? Like calculating total weight and equipment requirements and adding those stats up to get to a minimum character level. I get stuff like full havels quickrolling on the high wall at level 15, but other than that, I don't always see specific things that automatically mean they are overleveled.
Hey saint, I'm looking to get into invasions after being with your channel for so long. What kind of build do you think would be good for first time invasions?
Okay, you showed player stats, but not AR? I'm kind of curious how it stacks up directly with the Moonlight (I've recently burned my Simple gem on the Astora Greatsword, so I can't try this at the moment, but I can level up a different character. I like the moveset quite a bit better.) The thing about the Moonlight vs Murakumo (Incidentally, both Armored Core references. One of the corporations in AC3 was Murakumo Millenium, and the Moonlight right down to the sound effect has been around since the first game) is that the Moonlight has the Blender moveset, which is nice in duels, not to mention the Human Plus waves. The Murakumo is great for invasions, because it cuts a wide swath with great dead angles, and combos into the Spin Slash. The Astora GS is kind of an interesting hybrid, because it has both horizontal sweeps, (Including a spiny rolling attack) and linear Power Pokes.
kumo does more damage by about 40 AR sharp infused, but carthus weighs slightly less and has 18 str req instead of 20, freeing you up 2 points which is nice for low levels. The kumo also lacks bleed but the things swing so slowly its not really a factor but it is there, if you like
OH I had a 20/20/45INT at sl90, and that kumo did so much damage. In the archives you could 3 hit a lot of phantoms (and with surprise the panic rolls are common). With UDR in the black room you could get a few so easy.
So I was reading on the Wiki, and it said soul stream can go through walls or atleast the pillars at archdragon peak. In which case that spell would be great for scaring the hell out of people! More testing is required and my int build isn't at grand archives yet!
Great Sword of Judgement would be a better weapon. Projectiles built in, and a quick self buff for a little more damage. With so much strength and dex that you have for that murakumo, it just makes more sense to use another boss great sword from the Moonlight.
It’s so close to anime spins and yet infinitely bigger and boy-er and now with 30% more Cryst-aal. Watch today as Saint takes the good old intelligence nerd, beats the shit out of it until it starts getting funky, slaps a ‘Kumo into its hands, and unleashes it to deliver havoc to those trespassers of the library and the occasional monster who refuses to pay those library fines. There’s some slight eroticism with a pool of white stuff ‘cause I mean would it really be a Saint_Riot video without a little bit of that stuff? Probably. But you never know...
I've never really been good with things like the murakumo or the exile greatsword. Never been able to really use them to their full potential. I guess their learning curve is too much for me.
As you can see in the video, my friend Riot suffers from... well, God only knows... But you can help! Go to this link and donate to a charity that will help him and his caretakers: streamlabs.com/saintriot#/
