The first time I finished the game was with this masterpiece. I didn't realize the actual difficulty of some of the bosses until later on with other weapons.
I remember i played with them too it was my first souls game that i played so when i used them i didnt upgrade dex that much so my playthrough with them was a disaster
When I discovered astora greatsword on my quality build playthrough I literally had to try to find a way in which other weapons did better than it so that I could use some other weapon. Obviously on high level some weapons start having just significantly higher damage but for the most part that weapon was broken as hell too
Fun Fact: this is the second shortest Video of every weapon in the game vs bosses. I'm pretty sure that this truly one of the best weapon in the game according too this series because every weapon has EVERY stat maxed out with it with just about every buff with it. So any factors, aside from the actual quality of the weapon, are erased
I have no clue what they were smoking when they gave these as a starting class weapon. They completely trivialize the game, even if you just play normally without upgrading them as quickly as possible.
Same in Dark Souls 2. The Mace you get as a CLERIC. A CLERIC, is one of the strongest weapons in Dark Souls 2. There's literally no boss in the game where it's not a disadvantage to use the Mace. It's good against everyone.
Well, that's probably works for any other weopon from start of the game. Pala, Claymore, Rapier, Katana, you name it - they all are pretty balanced and I find them much better that anything that will be dropped from bosses later in game
I can relate. I got Gael, Nameless, Midir, Friede and Sulyvahn all in my first attempt when I did my first playthrough with the twinblades but somehow managed to die twice against Halflight
I've seen it happen in my playthroughs quite often. With the way backstabs are programmed in DS3 compared to like DS1 or DS2, some backstabs would not register despite the animation starting if the npc starts moving at certain frames (correct me if I'm wrong, there's a video about it I watched a year ago). I've seen it happen in DS1 as well but much rarely, as backstabs are much easier to land in that game.
I really hate the Dark Souls weapon system since on one hand you have "RAGING FURIOUS BLADE OF THE SUN GOD FORGED FROM THE ESSENCE OF A DYING STAR ENCHANTED WITH A THOUSAND RESENTFUL SPIRITS" with a special ability called "NEUTRON EXPLOSION OF DOOM AND CALAMITY" but it loses in every way to "Iron Dagger". The fuck Fromsoft?
@@deaansugee That would be too limiting. Boss weapons should be more interesting than normal ones with cool movesets but not more powerful statistically. Ideally all weapons would be balanced but that's obviously not possible, still preferable to what you're suggesting though
@@harioschtroliki Boss weapons, a weapon forged from the soul of a powerful being, should be more powerful than the chunk of iron version of it. Not just a cool gimmick that glows pretty. All weapons should not be balanced, obviously the weapon you get as a prize for defeating the nigh final boss should be several fold more powerful than the weapon you buy from Greirat 20% into the game.
the fact that I wasn’t well informed on the whole builds system and is new to gaming so I went with the longsword throughout the whole game then finds out that builds like this actually exist…im dumb
Can anybody tell me where can I get the blue lightning mod? I’ve been searching for the one that have the exact color as Eliz used but can’t find any, only have the darker blue
Never used these because I don't like curved swords, my cheese weapon of choice is the Irithyll Straight Sword. My first run is mainly Farron Greatsword but with ISS if things are too slow for the UGS.
Is Yorshka's chime still the best catalyst for LB/DMB than Sunless talisman and Caitha's chime at 99 Fth/Int? Because the other two have higher spellbuff than Yorshka's chime
Yoel of Londor's 5 free level ups every NG cycle seems to do the trick. The souls needed to level up from ~180 - 250 goes up exponentially, so you do this instead of farming Winged Knights in Lothric Castle.
Just discovered today that the difference between this weapon's damage and Crow quills damage is ONE POINT! Proof: At 20 dex, both weapons at +8 and sharp infused Twin:257 Quills:256 And yet twinblades are so well known while almost no one talks about the quills!
Why not hollow infusion for this weapon ? Shouldn’t it be more damage ? Asking coz this is one of your earliest videos and ig you may have learnt hollow is good later on
@@DSelizabeth oh ok I got it. I was under the impression that the luck scaling hollow gives is better than the improved Str/Dex scaling with sharp for all the weapons and there were merely 1/2 exceptions. I didn’t think winblades were one of the rare ones.
After beating the game once on a strength build I decided to start a new game and respec to use these. Damn, I put myself through hell for no reason. These things carve up everything lol
if you wanna play with something that hits fast, definitely not only use pontiff's right eye and the wolf curved sword in your offhand if you're willing to grind to get it, but also invest in carthus beacon as well to stack even more onto the effect. it's an OP as fuck and stupidly fun setup to run
So I. In new game and this is how I’m fighting midair completely new and I got too one eight of his health I’ve been struggling getting half most the time
Refined gem You will gain stat scaling for both strenght and dex, giving you a colossal amount of damage even without buffs, and you can still use resins and other buffs like lightning blade or darkmoon blade (Also, sorry for bad english)
I have a question why do you equip the sellsword twinblades in your right hand and left hand does it make a difference if you only equip it in your right hand?
