@@schplorgus8140 its not even that bad or fucked like i finish the game with keyboard and mouse on my first playthrough my second playthrough i finish it without a mouse just a keyboard, its pretty easy dunno why people keeps complaining on the keyboard and mouse when you just suck it face it.
So...it is hard to play Dark Souls, hard to acquire Dark Souls, and hard to tell a story about how hard it was to acquire Dark Souls while playing the hard Dark Souls. On the side note, I am going through all of Cr1TiKaL's videos one-by-one in order, and I have notice that Cr1TiKaL never loses track of his story telling. He is really good about that because whenever the game gives him hell while he tells a story, he always comes back to his story to finish even when he is distracted. Here are examples of when he does this off the top of my head: "Halo Reach Lone Wolf Legendary Gameplay and Commentary" and "Black Ops Ascension Gameplay and Commentary."
+MisogiProductions that's not true either. For the longest time, he would make sure to say if he was commentating while playing it, but eventually he started to mesh it.
Honetsly, he was getting around 400 souls each time he tranversed the stairs up to the merchant that supplies him with the cure. He could have just done that ten times in a row and then it was an easy cure.
As someone whos cleared NG+5 on 3 separate builds, I'm very surprised he got that far in the depths in one run. It took me forever to get to that Bonfire my first time.
Surprisingly enough, I bought Dark Souls on Steam for $5 and downloaded it, played it at around 15-25 frames per second, died MANY times, and still enjoyed it.
I played it for the first time on PS3 when it released, the framerate was just completely unbearable at points. It took me a week to get through 5FPS Blighttown
@@Ryzen1 Yeah, back when I was an absolute animal with my old laptop. Where 30-40 frames was ideal and perfect. All that I needed at the time. Can't believe this comment is 5 years old too. I have upgraded several times since then.
Just bought the game but never played it yet, was looking to have a glimpse at the gameplay, got more than I bargained for, you made me laugh out loud several times.... Thanks for that !!
This is one of the first videos I've seen from Charlie. He got me into playing Dark Souls and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I have avenged you from the giant rat do not worry.
This was my first video of yours and I will say I still quote things to this day especially "this is the time now milking a cow", never thought it would be as motivating but it always helped me get my mind at ease and I thank you for it Love you youtube Jesus ❤
just started playing this game, so I had to come back and watch this again. Great video, man. The story of how you got the game is freakin' hilarious :D. Btw, if you ever wanna start playing on that cursed character of yours, you can buy the purging stone for 3000 in the belltower, rather than paying 6000 to the undead gerl. Love to see more dark souls gameplay!
the sad thing aobut it is i owned him in antoher comment of his and to 'get one up' on me he must have dug thru all my old comments till he thought he found one where he could 'get one over' on me :D and yes i see those typos and i dont give a shit!
How the fuck did you own me.. by saying that id accidentally put in an unwanted "THE".. we all make mistakes and wanted to show you that you aren't so high and mighty yourself with a quick accidentally spelling mistake
sonicbiscuit123 "we play it because WE are hard" (for all dem waifus) Also , I dont really think it is "unfair-hard" but "we-dont-treat-you-like-an-idiot-hard" , learning enemy attack patterns and unraveling the lore included
+sonicbiscuit123 oh look another 'its not hard' purist. its a challenging game. only a dick head with a god complex and hours of experience playing say shit like that. the point is, giving this game to a casual gamer who enjoys playing for a few hours after work? yeah. its hard. get of your high horse lol
"Game's hardest thing ever" - you're severely underleveled or casul "Game's easiest thing ever" - you're severely overleveled or letting good summons do everything If you go through the game at a decent pace, leveling, upgrading equipment, etc. and are in the level ranges for each area the game really shows the fair (minus a few stupid cheap parts like tickle-tickle Bed of Chaos) challenge it can present. It punishes you for making mistakes and doesn't hold your hand. It's hard to measure this game's difficulty since everyone's experience is subjective, but I wouldn't call this game (or series, including Demon's Souls) ridiculously hard or easy. Just a great game with decent challenge. If you want it to be harder, handicap yourself (SL 1 masochists), if you want it to be easier, summons, grind, etc.
I just realized this game isn't "hard" Now, I know, a lot of people claim it to be the "Greatest Challenge of All Time" and one of the most "Difficult Experiences in Modern Gaming" But the truth is... enemies just do a lot of damage. That's all, there lies the "difficulty"
the game forces you to learn attack patterns of your enemies as well as invest in obtaining good gear to face you enemies if you don't want to get killed in one or two hits. the only real cheap difficulty in the game was the bed of chaos.
ImMrSanderson Enemy attack patters have been in games for a long while now; also, gearing up is a natural part of a character progression system in any RPG game
Achmeron so because these game play elements have been done before that makes the game not challenging? good logic. Edit: I do agree with you on the point that dark souls is far from the most difficult experience of modern gaming and its challenge is to a degree over hyped.
ImMrSanderson Sorry, but they were YOUR arguments, not mines And I know it has its challenge, but is not as people make it look like. Fans just created a cult for a game that is not better than titles that just don't come often this days. When a developer publish a multimillion dollar title, they babysit you the whole way through This game just doesn't do it, and everyone names it God Play Devil May Cry for the PS2. Those were the days
