Dark stories behind Picasso's best paintings

The rebellious genius that defined the 20th century. The godfather of Cubism. The artist who had it all. The creative force of the resistance, the author of Guernica. Accolades that nobody can strip from the name of Pablo Picasso. Yet, there is a lingering notion every time when we talk about his masterpieces, his revolutionary vision and his genius. Notorious misogynist, a narcissist and a man who feared as well as desired women, a painter who mercilessly bled all women surrounding him using their beauty and pain to create his art.

Thank you very much, Milan! I am not worried about blowing up, nor do I give it too much thought. I am grateful that I can share my ideas that were piling up in my mind for years. And I feel pleased that I can take more people... on an adventure!

He was a traditional Spanish macho. The only good thing about him is that his passion for physical beauty led to great art.

Picasso was not "father cubism". He plagiert cubism from another French artist. And he was a monster. 😆✌️

You keep saying 'schizophrenic'. But its very clearly Picasso was a NPD'er, aka a narcissistic personality. And the women most likely were all BPD'ers. Since these two types of Cluster B personalities attract each other like magnets. They are very much alike. Not one is the victim necessarily above the other. It's complex. But all in all has very little to do with Schizophrenia. For the rest very interesting and also shows how the masses are very selective in their indignation when it comes to maltreatment or abuse. The bourgeoisie, the upper classes will go the museums and smell each others farts and circle jerk themselves into artsniffing 'this is culture!' heights.

Wow! So much gossip and conjecture in this video. Maybe go back to the women themselves as the source of information as most of them seemed completely obsessed with Picasso, his talent, his fame and especially his wealth, rather than making up stuff. Maybe watch Sylvette David's video (Christies) to inform yourself on what a 'monster' Picasso really was.

Love your channel and this video is another good one- Very good and astute insights into Picasso. I sense that he had some kind of "mania" regarding women- the need to elevate and destroy that which he had cultivated. The deep need almost demonic glow he had to ridicule those he needed to worship came out so vividly here. You once again tapped into a great deal. Thank you! Your work is amazing.

Thank you Justin! I am glad you liked it. You are completely right, more I investigated into the matter more I believed we constructed the society where talented people have get out of jail card, and it is time to change that. Stay tuned, more great episodes are coming soon...

@@VladislavRadakShowthank you. Your work is great. Amazing to me how Picasso could break open the 'spirit" of others through art and in life....it seems he was more captured by the feminine than he could process.

Thank you. It's important that the misogynistic atrocities of these brilliant men are known clearly and held alongside their celebrated artwork. There are so many of these stories. I hope you will cover more of them.

The question is…Who enabled him? I mean, maybe he was so alluring, and had such a hold on these women that they could not resist him. Those piercing eyes that looked deep into their souls. I am just thinking out loud about the effects of celebrity with regards to attraction.

He was a lot worse a person than I thought, and I didn’t think he was very good. I had not considered before the relationship between his misogyny andart. Interesting hypothesis.

This Is your opinión from censor and moral ethics visions. But for this opinión is innecesary your judge. why your visión about the art is limited and tendencious? Picasso is dead. And he Was a big monster but big man like all the greatest artist. But what about the líes from the of Contemporary art and the black legend ? Picasso Was a man of his time ! So cant See you like a judge moralista conceptos of his life With Your today eyes? Words… 😮 only words

Actually my main reason it isn’t taught is because of parental complaint, even in topics such as aids/HIV and lgbt+ discussions, I’ve seen that they tell children that if they’re parents would not be comfortable with them learning about it, they can skip, the same would have happened when learning about this kind of subject.

After 1900 his art sucked. That's how I see it. That he sucked as a person as well is neither here nor there. Dali was great... a Franco-phile...
