Anders Friden did vocals for Dark Tranquility's debut album "Sky Dancer", and Mikael Stanne did vocals for In Flames debut album "Lunar Strain". Then they switched bands! Very interesting!
Switched is not quite correct, as Mikael Stanne was already part of DT on Skydancer and plays the rhythm guitar here, also provides backing and clean vocals. But yes, Anders Fridén then left the band and went to join In Flames, while Stanne performed vocals on In Flames' debut Lunar Strain and switched from rhythm guitar to vocals in DT when Fridén left.
It's actually "My sweet Norderland". Same thing but using Swedish "nord" instead of English "north" and it's also a compound word without a space. You can clearly hear the D instead of TH and that's the way it's written in lyric sheets as well.
@@Suweren32 and also Mikael Stanne was the original (guest/session) vocalist for In Flames too. And also HammerFall, although he left before their first album. And now Grand Cadaver, of course.
It's somewhat of a shame that the bass player on their early records had to switch to guitar, he was one of the most creative bass players in the genre.
Never taken the time to listen to the skydancer album, got to say I'm impressed! The sound reminds me of lunar strain, a bit amateurish but great melody and packs a punch!
Hoping you will include the full sky in the cover of the remastered version of the album...looking forward for Shadow Duet and A Bolt Of Blazing Gold :)
