With Darko, you don’t just get an amazing song. You also get your mind screwed with their music videos. They’ve got the best music videos for sure, there is absolutely no one doing what they are doing
FUCK YEAH! I've always been wanting to make music with heavy chugs and drum and bass elements and ambiance, and this song just perfectly captured that. Hope I'll be able to record something similar myself
3:59 to 4:21 is almost ethereal sounding. The visuals make it an equally emotional moment, as tom screams "I know what's meant for me" we see visuals of the universe and a man acknowledging that his time is over. It feels bittersweet as if the man is acknowledging that he is going to die and become one with the universe, and the music swells in an equally beautiful moment.
Thank you for your comment, I'm French and my English is not really good, sometimes it's difficult for me to understand lyrics (when the singer is growling it's quite a challenge haha). I like to understand what I'm listening, so your point of view helps me ! :)
Woah what a fresh sound from Darko, combining elements from edm and the rave scene with their signature Darko filth. Wow, pleasantly surprised by this one. Thank you Darko
Lmao why relax dude, you sound like you’re their PR guy writing an article. There’s very little of that. Just an electronic beat and sample at the beginning lmao. Like most core bands these days not to mention. Literally everything EXCEPT that aspect is what makes Darko unique lmfaooo
After the first single i wasn't expecting much but this shit blasted me into space when the first riff kicked in and it kept getting better and better.
I can’t even make an “average Darko song” joke because this ain’t average. Even for Darko this was bizarre and beautiful, the next album is going to be unbelievable.
I think i can comfortably say now, without a doubt, Tom has found his dwelling place. Magical track. Ending part (from 03:55 -ish) … that, for me, is Tom in his natural element - absolutely chilling to the core. Goosebumps 😮. Awesome production and instrumentals too. Banger track ❤
Props to whoever came up with this video style, it’s very unique and works amazingly well with the music. I think i had never been interested in the visual aspect of what a band has to offer 🥵🥵
It's insane how these guys have put out so much music in such a short amount of time and how they make every song sound so fresh and original. Their creativity knows no bounds. Huge props to Tom and Baby J for re-inventing this new wave of modern deathcore(or whatever you can call it).
These guys are achieving exactly what Doom and Mick Gordon created in 2016. Both music and visuals are synchronized and make you want to enjoy them together. Separated they can be good, but together they are what make it unique and new. Thanks Darko and Norbert, I'm so grateful for living in the same timeline that your art.
Why the fuck is the part at 3:38 where he's saying "I know what's meant for me" kind of like completely re-energizing me and making me want to pursue great things?
awesome once again, people will cry this isn't generic BORING death metal, I personally loved it and it's very refreshing. The sounds on the outro are pure atmospheric/ethereal. guitar work was awesome also
Bro I love these new songs Darko has come out with. They make so many twists and changes in one single song that make me wanna go back each time and it feels like I'm experiencing it for the first time again!
The darko boys went ahead and did it again! loved the mv, felt like I was in a bad trip of mushrooms, out of all the videos the trippiest in my opinion!
You know there's nothing like a metal track that just blows you away. There's nothing like it. How something can literally just have someone so enamored.
Idk why it's like this with so many songs of Darko, it's like you're constantly discovering new catchy sounds in this chaos that you start to appreciate xD
Same here. When a song is structured like this or lack thereof it always takes me a few listens before I get into it and I love it after. Bands like Oceans Ate Alaska or Paledusk do this to me frequently too.
I'm like that too. I like the video creativity waaaaaay more than the songs. I think the songs are awesome and unique but they're not songs I want to really listen to again.
One of the few newer bands that goes out of their way to push the boundaries of metal with every song. No filler tracks. No throwaway songs. Just pure innovation.
God DAMN I grew up with Behemoth, BoO, VoM, Meshuggah,,,, this shit is fuckin "S-Tier" metal. I haven't heard a group push the limits of the genre like this in such a long time..... Not a single part of this song is bad, keep keeping heavy shit alive and keep pushing the boundaries!!! Music video is nuts as well!!!! Absolutely amazing!!!!
