I always love how speedrunners just remember the exact path they have to go out of bounds without some death box killing them, them fucking it up or an invisible wall blocking them. Just simply amazing. Great run, loved watching it!
Thanks! Speedrunning surely involves a lot of memorization, muscle memory and plain grinding though, as the runs we upload usually are only the few successful results out of hundreds of attempts.
I already played this game long ago, I just downloaded the remaster to play it again. Just finished it in 2 days and I thought I was kinda good. Then I found this video and just the cancel animation move showed me how low my skills was ! Duuuuude!! That's a next level gameplay!!!!
As we don't really get hit at all during the speedrun thanks to the sword canceling technique, the difficulty doesn't really matter much. Playing on "Armageddon" thus mostly is just a meme. As for the tricks we use in the run - here's a guide: www.speedrun.com/darksiders/guides

Is there a glitch for leaving the Hollows without first killing the Griever? I'm curious to know what triggers the wrath power "Affliction" to become available in Vulgrim shops.

@@henySpeedruns The Warmastered Edition claims to have cutscene skipping issues. Cutscenes would automatically skip. There was suppose to be a patch to fix that issue. So far, I can't find the latest patch note. I thought maybe you knew something about it or heard they fixed ANY issues in that version of the game.
I know that the Warmastered Edition runs much smoother in general and it wouldn't surprise me if they fixed some other issues as well. However, considering the cutscene problem you mentioned, I haven't heard anything of, I'm afraid.
Стрейфы изи, просто делаешь все по таймингам. Удар и стрейф и получается на выходе быстрое передвижение. Так бить тоже легко, делаешь так же по таймингам. Блок и удар
We call that technique "Sword Cancelling". Works by continuously alternating block & attack. Doing that with the right rhythm breaks the attack animation and resets the cooldown.
The rock thing you blow the horn for puts you in the Shadow Realm to fight some creatures (he did not have to fight them in this run). The mask you get later is what puts you in the Shadow Realm so you can collect all the pieces, but since he was in that area and got put in the Shadow Realm, he was able to collect the piece early. There are no other points in the game that let you get to the Shadow Realm early.
great speedrun but its not the 1:09:14 like it says it is, it's 1:16:29 and take 19 seconds off from the start it's 1:16:10 so where is the other 7 mins then.
Not sure yet. For now I'm gonna take a break of a week or two. Then I might either derust DOOM, do some Dishonored AC or maybe, if the speedrun is good, try We Happy Few.
I'm pretty confused watching Speedrun on Darksiders which is I haven't finished yet in my gameplay so many of the Glitches in this run is making scrambled up in playing this game haha RIP. By the way can you call me how to do that dash instead of just pressing Left Click + Alt because as I can see in this run that is the animation that I can actually think of.
