Tutorial for the Possessed weapons system and how to make a set of ultimate weapons. Includes how to get extra money and how to manipulate the system, so this guide has information for people at any stage of the game.
@@DMSTUDIO_ Critical chance and execution chance enchantings become common when you are nearing the maximum level, through trading. Wrath and health steal are more likely to be found on high levels, also through trading. But, there's a certain talisman, "Hoardseeker Talisman" that gives you a chance to find powerful items after killing enemies, so you might get one of those enchants thanks to that talisman.
jesus fucking christ. I wish I had watched this earlier. Replaying the game after like 2 years and never understood the fucking possessed weapon shit. This helps a lot
yeah same here, I just fed them everything and anything and hoped for a good stat, the second time around I actually looked at what I was doing and figured out where I was going wrong
ALSO! you get the demonheart talisman from THE KINGDOM OF THE DEAD, get the second book of the dead chapter and trade it to vulgrim for the dead tomb key. the tomb is located on the bottom floor of the lair of the deposed king. when you enter the tomb, go right, move the statue and the talisman will be in the room behind it.
His dialogues not as good as it was in Darksiders 1. "Oh, you like that do you, hmm?" "Very niiice" I felt like I'd just walked onto the set of a porno every time I visited him... xD
My current build has 9,090 damage per second on primary scythes and 10,163 on secondary weapon. I had this game for nearly two years and decided to go back to it as I loved it so much the first time. Worth every penny, apparently DS3 is on the way!
Here's a list of steps for how to obtain health/wrath steal ( and obscure stats such as reaper regen/ on crit/ per kill and such) with the legacy artifact at early levels (1-15): 1. Buy a Legacy Artifact from Vulgrim (if you can't find him, then when you are at the levels listed above, he will be found in the Weeping Crag and in the Fjord in the forge lands, and inside the serpent's peak tunnel in the kingdom of the dead). 2. have a possessed weapon ready for upgrading, scythes are the best weapon (in my opinion) for putting health/wrath steal on. 3. Sacrifice the Legacy Artifact, and due to the fact that Legacy Artifacts have no stats what so ever, you get two random stats every time you sacrifice them. If you do not like the stats you get, or don't get the stats you need, don't panic, you have not lost 25000 gilt. Simply cycle to another screen (when you see what stats that you can put on your weapon) with LB and RB (360) or R1 and L1 (PS3), and repeat step 3, and you should get another two random stats. This can be done to get ANY stat that can be placed on a weapon, including elemental damage. 4. Place your stat of choice on the weapon (Duh...). One last thing, you only need to sacrifice one legacy artifact at levels 1-15 in order to upgrade the weapon, beyond that, you will need two. If you sacrifice a legacy artifact beyond level 16 and run out of them, then you can sacrifice a statless scythe (who's only stat is the damage it can cause) and it will act like a substitute legacy artifact, and will still give you the random stats.
Hadrian Black Also, the Argul's Tomb DLC can be downloaded from the store at any time on the xbox (and maybe on the PS3, I'm not sure about that one), or you can just buy a new copy of Darksiders 2: Legendary Edition which comes with Argul's Tomb.
Hadrian Black The Demonheart Talisman he mentions is found in the second death tomb, which can be opened by completing the second chapter of the book of the dead and is found at the bottom floor of the lair of the deposed king in the kingdom of the dead, and is hidden behind a moveable pillar on the right side of the tomb.
Hey, thanks for the video, I had no idea that you could get steal from talismans. Once I found out you could random, I was feeding white weapons like a goofball.
if you have 100% critical damage, you do double damage, at 200%, its tripled, and if its at 300% you can essentially quadruple your damage output when you critically strike. with ustoppable active I have 4606 dps with 52% crit chance and 413% crit damage, and ive seen some of my crits hit over 20k
I thought that Legacy Artifacts are bugged and ugh. I never would imagine its a ....sacrifice-type-ish item. 61 fu**ing % lifesteal? I was happy for 13% i had from epic scythes from random drop. Damn son, this is brutal. I just wish for Crit chance+Crit Dmg+Strength+HealthSteal...that seems good enough.
Just a thought, why not doing what you did for the 61% health steal weapon, with your primary possessed scythes, if you do not get what you want, reload until you get it on the weapon.
Dude... it looks like you made video 'bout something that you don't fully understand... but one thing gave me nice tip, and it was the Legacy Artifacts from Vulgrim. I didn;t actually know what is this crap for :D now i do know :D Thanx for that mate :D I'm gonna make some awsome weapons now :D
Go platinate darksouls 3, demon souls and bloodborne, it has been working for me! By that time you should be very good at analysing the boss movments and dodge almost everytime to counter attack at the right moment...also, go farm some exp if you can, thise extra ability points chests and go find some op weapon if you need it!
anybody else notice each type of equipment has different base attributes like the difference in health steal for the gauntlets and the scythe or strength for hammers and other gear
I have this issue where I always want to duplicate possessed weapons before I upgrade them as handy-downs. If anyone else has this problem and wants to duplicate loot or more specifically possessed weapons... Tag: Undamen (Xbox 360)
Can someone explain to me something basic? So I had this pair of Level 5 Possessed Double Scythes. Its stats were Damage 53-41 Critical Damage +12% Health on Crit 12 Wrath on Execute 14 No arcane stat Then I fed it a Sage Talisman (4 Arcane, Health on Execute 92) and a Legacy Artifact talisman (no stats on that) to upgrade it to Level 6. Then the stats of my scythe said Health on Crit 14 (why was this upgraded when there was no such stat in the sacrificial items) Wrath on Execute 14 Damage 59-67 Critical Damage +13% I was also given the choice between the following two: Arcane 8 (why not 4??) Health on Execute 73 (why not 92??) I don't get it. How exactly do they transfer over?
Because the guy doesn't fully understand the process. You don't need to feed any item with the stats you have in order to further upgrade them once you have the stat on the possessed weapon. They do that on their own. You can see that in the video too, all 3 stats (str, health steal and wrath steal) upgraded on their own, without him putting any of those stats in: 8:55 -- has str, wrath steal, health steal 9:10 -- feeds the possessed weapon with an item containing just lightning damage, crit chance and wrath on crit, then a statless talisman 9:15 -- upgrade complete, all 3 stats (str, wrath steal, health steal) are upgraded and he can now add crit chance As to why you get a higher or lower number when upgrading, it has to do with the possessed weapon's level and type. It's standardized. That's why his secondary weapon got a whooping 61% health steal, while his level 27 primary weapon only got 20%. You can also notice throughout the video that he gets more or less than what he puts in, and you could literally feed a level 2 weapon with +4 str and then level it up with statless items / talismans and you'd get the same value of str compared to putting a 106 str item in. I know this might be useless to you now, since it's been 8+ months, but someone else might stumble upon this video (like me), and may have the same question. I figured it out only after watching like 10-12 videos from random people and checking what their game does, rather than listen to what they're saying, because neither of them know what they're talking about ... and the wiki / reddit / ign / gamefaq / etc are all fucking useless too.
Thx for the strategy man...it's good...one question though....how to find clean possessed scythe ??? All the possessed scythe that you get in the game are already with attributes on them.....sometimes those attributes really suck ....is there a way to clean a possessed weapon ???
I can't find Legacy Artifact from Vulgrim's store with any level in My XBOX360 , does the item Legacy Artifact is worthless , or health/wrath steal are over powered , Vigil game canceled them ?
Do your secondary weapon attributes transfer to your primary? e.g. if i put on frost damage on my secondary weapon (gauntlets), will my scythes gain frost damage as well?
Hello! How did you get Vulgrim to sell Legacy Artifacts? I finished the game and he still doesnt have them, nor the legacy box. I cant find them anywhere. I need your help! Thanks
sorry dude :/ but it is worth of buying ! :D trust me mate. Check sites like Allegro or e-bay. You can buy steam keys really cheap and including all DLC's! I bought a key on Allegro for soemthing like 15 $ with everything included :D
i have trouble finding possessed weapons.. i even equip demon heart before opening chests.. nothing so far.. not once i got a possessed weaon like that. I am lvl 21 and am thinking about opening everything in the two tombs i got so far by collecting the death notes. will be a pain to collect all notes anyway.. does sb have a tip how to get fast to possessed weapons? i dont wanna open everything in the tombs until i reach lvl 22.
I’m sorry but this isn’t really what I would say is the best way to upgrade because what if you were wanting a specific build on weapons of your choice like on scythes and claws or a hammer/axe critical build or arcane damage build I found when I bought some of these I wasn’t getting the attributes added to my weapons which I would have preferred but like you said they are random attributes that are given to you to choose from.
i finally found a weapon with 27% health steal and i sacrificed it and after that poooofff heal steal was not on the list... i was so sad that i just alt+f4 the game immediately
Lol at 2:13 he's disbelieving that he got such a good health steal %. If he got that on a bigger weapon XP That would be like a full health bar healed every crit.
I don't understand this system at all. It's possible I'm an idiot. If you sacrifice a weapon for a possessed weapon, but it was not enough to level up the possessed weapon do you simply lose all the attributes that were associated with the sacrificed weapon? In other words should you only sacrifice your better weapons when you know it will level up the possessed weapon?
No.. when it level up the upgrade path will show 4 attributes for you to choose only one which isn't random its only show max 4 attributes for you to choose it. if you sacrificed random things to give it level and those things have like 6 DIFFERENT(like arcane, str, crit chance, crit damage, inferno, health steal) attributes in total then the 4 attributes that is gonna showing up would be randomly picked 4 from that 6 different attributes (in total) For example if you only want the health steal attributes. There's two ways 1.sacrificing ONLY legacy artifacts to level up then the results would be like 2 completely random attributes. If health steal doesn't showed up just pick whatever to finish the upgrade and DONT save the game then quit your game and reload back in to re-do the process. 2.sacrificing only Legacy artifacts till its almost level up then sacrifice your weapons that has Health steal attributes then your possessed weapons will level up in the same time so you can pick its right there no random. You can either sacrifice your health steal weapons before legacy artifacts too it is not necessary to sacrifice your wanted attributes at the same time it just that it will level up the exact time you did a sacrificed and if it doesn't level up just add more legacy artifact. Basically if sacrificing only legacy artifacts then the selectable attributes would be completely random. But if you add a sacrifice into that possessed weapons then when its level up it would randomly picked the selectable attributes max 4 attributes from in totals attributes that had been sacrificed into it in this level. Sry for English
Just use Legacy Artifacts. It'll give you random effects, and if the effect you want doesn't show up, you can hit the right bumper (or whatever key switches inventory tabs) to cancel that upgrade and try again. There are certain effects you can only get by transfer, and I think execution chance is one of those, but you can definitely get crit chance, crit damage, health and wrath steal like this.
well I've tried both, personally I prefer crit harbinger, cause I like to get in the middle of a fight, so if you're gonna go that route,, you wanna focus your stats on crit chance, crit damage and strength. get health steal on your possessed scythes too. and for your seconday possessed I'd put defensive stats on them.
I make health and wrath steal weapon..the game become less interesting really fast. After several modifications. Stat that i enjoy the most are. Ice damage Crit chance and crit damage Execution chances
Only one elemental ability per weapon unfortunately but the GnoMad scythes special ability cycles through all the elemental damage types as you hit enemies
Imo 20% life/wrath steal is more than enough considering end game death's both possessed scythes and possessed secondary deal ridiculously high dps anyways with deathinitive difficulty i still have never see my hp drop more than 90% and with 20% life steal one hit just enough to sustaining it to always max hp. When making possessed weapons just focus on crit chance and str for harbringer and arcane for necromancer. High str/arcane is far more important than crit damage Sry bad eng. My weapons look like this Scythes - life steal(because i mainly use scythes) crit chance , crit damage , str , Secondary - wrath steal , crit chance , crit damage , str And when i do harbringer i just swap str with arcane the same with arcane crit chance, crit damage , took life steal of then add element(inferno) for max damage. Only keep wrath steal because necromancer not using skills does not feel good to play to me. For armor i would pick 70 str/arcane than 40% crit damage anydays its benefits alot more. The best ive seen are like 74 str 40 crit damage. And talisman focus on crit chance > crit damage > str/arcane in order..
im pretty good at making possessed weapons now, so if anyone needs a health steal or wrath steal, or a particular stat in general, let me know and i'll sort you out, im level 30 so if you're a lower level, just sacrifice the weapon I give you to get the stat on your own possessed weapon. Xbox 360 gamertag; Dragan90
(know I'm late but started playing two weeks ago) do you have any scythes with health steal, high arcane crit and arcane crit chance? I've been trying to get some like that but just won't work for me :(
+the_athletic_gamer you need 20 boatman coins and 50000 currency and buy it from vuulgrim, odds areg you get a possessed secondary weapon, you can often collect possessed weapons from larger enemies and boss drops look for the orange glow.
Yeah its random though imo 20% is more than enough considering end game death's both possessed scythes and possessed secondary deal ridiculously high dps anyways with deathinitive difficulty i still have never see my hp drop more than 90% and with 20% life steal one hit just enough to sustaining it to always max hp. thers an item glitch so money is useless good old L1 and X method or LB and A on xbox. You try to sell your item in the buy section and he will give you the iem for free. there's lots of vids on how to do it
ali q if you go into the crusable and survive until wave 10 and take the prize there is a good chance of getting a possessed weapon or buy a legacy box from vulgrim
