Andreas F Thanks a lot ! There're much more on my channel, and you should check out the "True Norwegian Black Metal" playlist with 4 hours of driving through Norway... you'll love it !
Vlad Tepes just checked out some of them. Quality black metal with good "home"made videos. True love or appreciation for a piece of music ... comes with depth of knowledge of that music.
Andreas F Thanks a lot !! Lots of them have been made where these songs have been written. In Norway, my intent was to understand the link between music and Norwegian nature. Today, I think I understood some of it...
I was in Norway last summer, in the middle of the forests, with a small lake on the other side of the road, rain drizzling down, everything either grey, dark green or blue and black, and for the first time in my life and after 10 years of listening to BM, I really "understood" this kind of music. Your video reminds me of that moment :) takk for det ;)
This is exactly what I can say about these videos and my trips in Norway. Since 15 years now, my intuition was that Norwegian landscapes has a direct influence on such music. And being there had confirmed it. Thanks for your words !
Best track on Ravishing Grimness. Varg used to drive around in his car ("long drives through deep valleys and forests in the night, and through the town or rural areas") listening to Paradise Lost (demo), Bathory, Pestilence etc.: early inspiration for Burzum.
Thank you. I'm sitting on my bed, beside my sleeping wife, Watching how sunrise is finally here, soaking my existence in rum... And this video brings me back the good memories from my trip to Norway. I feel time rushing, leaving me behind, turning myself into what I was meant to be, to fulfill my fate... To become dust and rode on 'til the end of time. Light is coming up, and I shall sleep to hide behind my eyes again. Thank you for the video, and all. Cheers! (last rum)
Bastian Ullr I'm glad this video brought back some good memories to your mind. Where have you been in Norway? This song is between light and darkness. Above all this is Beauty, according to me...
I'm from USA, but I confess that Norway has always attracted me in different ways, my great grandparents on my mother's side were from scandinavia. I just don't know exactly which part else I think they were Swedes. A beautiful place to live, one day maybe I will live there kek.
@MICHAELKREMPA You're welcome! It's a pleasure to share it, because this is a great song and one of the best on the "Ravishing grimness" album. Darkthrone is such an immortal band.
@MICHAELKREMPA It was a friend that was filming. And we wanted this special song as musical background. So we put it into the car to get a perfect timing. And you're right, the end drum beat fits perfectly! Norway is a magnificent country...
@@VampyrTepes Yes, seriously - it sounds weird, I know, and I'm not a musician, so I can't specifically describe why, but that 'Claws of Time' riff definitely sounds like surf guitar to me.
@MICHAELKREMPA This scene is the introduction of the dvd, where you see Grutle and Nocturno fishing. And Nocturno kissing the fish in the end, hilarious! I've a european culture, but I think that there's a lot of good bands in the states no?
@@VampyrTepes Do you like to receive Supreme Black Victory, Perpetual Dusk albun..?! I ship to you.. It's gift... I need your adress..my email.. : Wildefazolato@gmail.com
@666SCHNEIDERLEIN666 I was very surprised to discover this landscapes this very special day. And in fact, the three videos of Darkthrone have been made at the same moment, as you see the night falling... It begins by "Lifeless" and ends with "En as I Dype Skogen". Enjoy man!!
@MICHAELKREMPA According to me, the "Misanthrope" dvd is not very good. You will nit discover so much thing about Nocturno Culto. You must have the dvd if you're a very big fan of Darkthrone.
