A compilation of my "My Beloved" voicelines in Warhammer 40k Darktide. A lot of the clips are from previous videos, newer ones are in the first 2 minutes.
If you have watched my previous voice lines videos the only new clips here are in the first 2 minutes. The rest is taken from my older videos because I planned to make this compilation for a while now. Also I just wanna say thanks for 500 subs!
Honestly, I strongly believe it is a shard of the Emperor talking to the psyker and it makes sense. A random psyker would be more prone to listen to a gentle kind voice in their head than the High Lords of Terra who are horribly paranoid of everything and everyone.
Next 40k rp I run, knowing that this chick will absolutely play a psyker, i plan on giving her her own Beloved Emperor in the same way, and therefore give the player more of a reason to care about the setting while also being able to be critical of the worst parts of the imperium but also genuinely wanting human to become better
All Astropaths in the Imperium are literally soul-bound to the Emperor - they have a tiny fragment of the Emperor's power in them, to fortify them against the dangers of the Warp (this also tends to explode their eyes, so Astropaths are blind). Most Sanctioned Psykers aren't soul-bound, but they will probably spend many years training on Terra, so having some kind of psychic connection to the Emperor - even a tenuous one - isn't actually all that unlikely.
Not gonna lie, nearly lost it at 1:26. If Emps just explained the Warp to Horus, and the webway to Magnus, we quite possibly wouldn't be in this mess...
Veteran: Wish I had someone to serve me the way we serve the Emperor. Ogryn: Emperor wants dead heretics, not amasec! Even Ogryn knows that! Zealot: Only the Emperor is deserving of our service and through this mission is it done! Psyker: My Beloved says he has a servant that tells him about all that happens in the Imperium, standing by his side like a loyal kitten!
Zealot: “The Emperor hears *ALL* prayers.” Veteran: “Then why did Cadia fall?” Psyker: “My Beloved says it hard to hear everyone when all the prayers are drilling into his skull like the sanctimonious lovechild of Tidnidus and a jackhammer.”
@@rustyshackleford5144 It is, it's a whole meme. It's got such a cult following that Games Workshop cracked down on it. It's the "If the Emperor had a Text-to-Speech Device" series by Bruva Alfabusa here on RU-vid. The Emperor finally gets to communicate thanks to a TTS device and is horrified by the transformation of his scientific and progressive Imperium into one of dogma and stagnation. He generally craps on all of the insane and foolish decisions that his subjects made (i.e. the bad writing) and goes through the lore in a fun way.
My favorite interaction as a male Seer Psyker was with a male Cadian Veteran just a few days ago. The Cadian was lamenting what happened to his world when my Seer replied with "My Beloved says that what happened to Cadia wasn't your fault. He wants you to know that.." and the Veteran, dropping the angry tone for one that sounded genuinely heartbroken replied "I wish I could believe that.." A lot of the voice work for this game is amazing, with some real gems in there but this one.. this one took the cake. For a moment, both of these characters just.. open up and you can hear the change in both of their tones, revealing the Seer Psyker as a genuinely kind soul, and the "Beloved" as almost certainly a psychic fragment of the Emperor himself, and revealing the angry Cadian being - deep down - a broken soldier that has nothing left but (in their own words) "prayer and vengeance" and so they hide that pain and turn it into a weapon against the agents of the forces that took everything they had away.
@@indoom666 that's not how the imperium sees failure, they see it as a collective failure of all guardsmen that day. Not that they failed the emperor in their duty, but that they failed to protect the first bastion against the eye of terror
@@indoom666 Yeah, when you look at it from our perspective! 🤣 Though, lorewise, regiments have probably been executed down to a man (or at least sent to the Penal Legions) for smaller battlefield losses or failures...imagine losing an entire Bastion World? Even if the High Lords don't blame the Cadians, the Cadians survivors sure blame themselves. Cadians are tough and highly disciplined (therefore useful) even with their world gone, the Imperium still values the survivors...and are somewhat reasonable about the odds and circumstance laid down by the Archenemy.
I recently made new Cadian because one I had was too … agressive . She in Return become more cold , stoic and friendly? Most of her words is either recommendations/orders for squad , usual cadian chanting or an … semi friendly words . For example stating that “Being mysterious is an old move” (regarding Inquisitor) or for example responding on Ogryn question on what is abhuman with “It means , Absolutely Human , im telling ya” , for her I used orphan , Volunteer and Promotion for her as background
Ogryn: “How hearing lady’s vioce in heads?” Zealot: “The blessed servants of the God Emperor have resources and power beyond us.” Veteran: “It’s a communication channel to the earpieces we’re all wearing.” Psyker: “Beloved, who is this ‘Rogal’ who wish silence from? We haven’t seen any Cultists with such a name. Nor have we heard their voice. Oh, you weren’t talking to me. My mistake.”
My theory is that the shard of the Emperor's psyche governing his love and empathy is the one speaking to the Seer...meaning that it is separate from him on the Throne, hence why when Guilliman spoke to him it was just agony and coldness.
Oh, the Emperor is still capable of love and empathy. But between you and me, let's be honest. Surrounded by all kinds of bureaucratically bullshit, misguided zealots and a 20.000 year long planet cracking migraine and not a clear moment to think, i understand why he is the way he is right now.
The Seer is definitely going to be some sort of Messiah character in the lore. No one with such a connection to the Emperor can simply be just a minor character, not even in Warhammer 40k.
@@NicoloRicolo I don’t want this to be true, I like the idea of big E taking an interest in a random Psyker fighting for the imperium. It wouldn’t be out of character for the Emperor if there was something more about Atoma than meets the eye..
I'll be honest, made a 2nd Psyker because I love the Seer's personality, though in hindsight I wish I had made a female Seer if only because I never run into her in missions.
You know... I'm genuinely wondering if he actually has some contact to a fragment of the emperor. He does seem quite knowledgeable and well... not sure who else would talk to him.
probably a myth to the masses. the dark ships are known, as is loading them full of psykers. where they go.. well, people would notice they surely don't come back.
I've heard it explained to me that the Ordo Hereticus conscripts people who "know too much" but have loyalty to imperial forces, a penal legion basically
I don’t think the psyker is talking to a daemon or tzeentch, because they’re were points in this voice line that his “beloved” warned him of, like elites or specials or a daemon host, so if it truly was something else other than the emperor why would they help a rejected psyker that is at the bottom of the food chain, and had many, many chances to summon something or cause trouble among Atoma Prime, it just doesn’t make sense other then the emperor is actually helping the psyker
Well that's sorta tzeench's thing. The plan wouldn't make sense to us. Outside of lore reasons, it could be because its working against Nurgle. Chaos fights itself as much as it does the Imperium.
@@cassiusemmanualtheyoutubep3171Sure, it could always be a plan within plans, but it is more likely to be the Emperor (or a part of him) than a Daemon or Chaos God
In many of Buddhist scriptures, the Buddha literally split into millions of souls and guides many individuals so it makes sense. Many religion/spiritual scriptures states that deities/saints can split their souls into multiple shards in order to guide mortals.
Not every psyker, just specific psyker. If you pay attention to one of the lines the psyker is speaking about, pink flames and a voice that almost sounds like him, that's slaanesh tempting him to fall to chaos
@@liamer88 Just curious: why does everyone think this is Slaanesh? Because of the pink fire? The subtitles have the "Impossible Fortress" as a proper noun...a location in Tzeentch's Crystal Labyrinth. In my opinion, Slaanesh would probably be privy to black flames or something more "artistic"...not to mention if it was to speak it would be very alluring, probably with sensual overtones and hauntingly beautiful music.
most likely its simply an internal alternate personality imaginary friend with the kindly and wise traits the psyker believes the emperor has, the psyker interpreting their expanded senses and supernatural knowledge as being told to them by this personality construct
Considering his comment about the pink fire and the voice that sounds like the emperor, i'm begining to think that it's a tzeentchian daemon, or straight up tzeentch himself.
