I have one and it sadly does not count as a left click. I think that's a major downside to it. Not that you'd want to tap it to shoot in a game but when you're trying to click on things in game or web browse with it... instinctively I try to tap the trackpad to click and it doesn't work.
@@Ice-Sik-ill on PC it's possible to fix that with reWASD. This software allows to remap keyboard and mouse to controller. Edit: i see that I replied already in different comment. I will leave it there for information purposes. 😂
@@eVenent if the controller has a gyro. the darkwalker shotpad has no gyro. The creator commented on one of his video's that the next version will have gyro.
Not sure why you chose to demo this on a hard arena shooter and not something a little more calm. I am looking at this after an injury to my finger that makes it harder to use KB controls, hopefully this will help.

@@GameTrekkie Bro and I'm Brazilian Brazil and it's kind of hard to talk so my cell phone does support keyboard and mouse via Vacuum cable so it works right to play on your cell phone through steam through geforce now with an adapter, right, you tested it on your cell phone

The fact that it has Shift and Space binded to the back paddles shows this is made for FPS lovers. Im a steam controller lover so this looks like a great alternative for when my SC inevitably breaks, only dealbreaker for me is that it doesn't have Gyro :/
Agree, but @directedinput tied Joy-Con behind this controller and created perfect Frankenstein. Mouse+keyboard feeling with joycon's gyro. Returnal looks so easy after this mod.
@@eVenent Oh yeah i just saw the video, it looks like such an easy mod (just velcro the joycon to the back of the controller and use reWASD) i might get it when i cash my next paycheck. Still, a V2.0 with better ergonomics would be killer.
I could see loving this when playing strategy-type games, but not fps..Thing is, I am only on PS5 and the Series X..Not alot of mouse and keyboard support for consoles. And I'd be a bit skeptical of how well this would even work on those systems..
As a steam controller user, i can tell you trackpads + gyro are underrated and work perfectly fine for games that need aiming, they are 100% better than your regular sticks (which need aim assist, mind you)
@@eurheb I wish Valve would make the Steam Controller API available to the public (since the controller IS discontinued forever). It'd be crazy being able to use the Steam controller on the Series S/X
@@delavega989 I mean, they integrated it into the Deck, so they obviously still believe in it. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Steam Controller V2 in the next couple of years.
@@metroided34 I have a steam controller but I never really gave it enough of a chance. I encountered slight difficulty getting used to it and then put it away in a drawer... is it actually good? should I try it again?
