Even though a lot of people say that this is a Christmas song, I still listen to it in January and February, because those months are still in a “Winter Wonderland” hence the title of the song.😊
It's a beautiful snowy day in Connecticut today (February 17) and my family and I listened to this song on our way to the sled hill! It's a perfect winter song 😊
@@elizabethcribbs5002 It's a beautiful early spring day in the north of France today (February 17th 2024) - the trees have already flowered! It’s nice to see spring arriving early with 16°C 😊
Sleigh bells ring, are you listenin' In the lane, snow is glistenin' A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight Walking in a Winter Wonderland Gone away is the blue bird Here to stay is the new bird He's singing our song, as we go along Walking in a Winter Wonderland In the meadow we can build a snowman Then pretend that he is Parson Brown He'll say "Are you married?", We'll say "No man, But you can do the job when you're in town." Later on, we'll conspire As we dream by the fire To face unafraid, the plans that we made Walking in a Winter Wonderland In the meadow we can build a snowman And pretend that he's a circus clown We'll have lots of fun with Mr.Snowman Until the other kiddies knock him down When it snows, ain't it thrillin' Though you know, kids are chillin' We'll frolick and play, the Eskimo way Walking in a Winter Wonderland (wo oh oh ...) Walking in a Winter Wonderland (wo oh oh ...) Walking in a Winter Wonderland (wo oh oh ...) Walking in a Winter Wonderland (wo oh oh ...) Walking in a Winter Wonderland (wo oh oh ...) Walking in a Winter Wonderland Walking in a Winter Wonderland
They are _the_ best; though at practically any moment I am prepared to hear Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You" (1994). That one, for one reason or another, has gotten under my skin over the past decade.
By far the best version of this holiday classic. It replays in your head constantly. Love the melodies too and Darlene’s voice is truly special to hear.
Darlene ,,,,back in 1963 you nailed it ,,no other artist could match at least on this one ,,i know you can stil do it like you did b4 ,,,youre a true inspiration to all artists young and old ...keep going ...you have a true fan here ,,,,
after 58 years no one can do it like this ,,,the bass line ,,,,and the ronettes ,,just &%$# excellent!!!...the first is always the best ,,,as you are Darlene
The movie Holiday brought me here. ❤️ I like this Christmas carol, cause it's so cheerful! ❤️ Counting down the days till Christmas Eve and the festive season comes.. 🙏🙏🙏
I would always put on Phil Spector's Christmas album as we settled down with Mum and Dad to open our presents. This was the first track and it only takes the opening notes for me to be whooshed back more than 40 years to those happy Christmas mornings. I do miss you so, Mum and Dad.
The Greatest rendition!!! It is so uplifting. It sometimes makes me from joy!!!! Merry Christmas to whomever is reading this on Christmas eve or day!!!
The Holiday sent me here! I didn’t think Nancy Meyers would go from The Parent Trap to this! I’ve been too lazy to look it up until now. Another great version of Winter Wonderland
I remember back in 1968, I really liked this song and wanted to buy it. You couldn't find it anywhere, the album was out of print and going for outrageous prices. I saw a DJ copy of the 45 for sale and it was going for $50.00 that was too expensive, minimum wage was $1.60 per hour back then! It was re-released in the 70's on apple records and I finally got my copy. Wonder why Phil Spector stopped selling them. Now it is considered one of the best christmas albums of all time. I love this version of the song, actually it is my favorite.
this is like that compressed version thats great of everything like how this version sounds compressed, how multiple voices are crushed together into the same melody that can be background and foreground music like how you can find some foods like hotdogs and hamburgers at parties that are wrapped in foil and are so incredibly basic you can eat 20 of them in one sitting that kind of good stuff
It may be Valentine's Day,but the snow is coming down and it feels like Christmas should've been,I live in Texas so a white Christmas is a rarity. It's definitely a white Valentine's Day!
When I was younger my mum would be playing all the xmas Songs as she prepared a beautiful dinner for us all it was very magical, I kept that tradition up although my kids didn't like that music I explained it to them as kids in 1 ear out the other, so I would have my mini gigi in kitchen while they played or watched a movie they just got so no1 got disturbed until food was ready to be eaten I would still have music playing in kitchen toys making alsorts of sounds etc as u could probably imagine, it was an obstacle course bringing our food into eat 2gether but as usual mum didn't get to eat hers with kids as they thought it would be funny to try put sprouts up a siblings nose thankfully I took care of that myself thank the lord for tiny nostrils, that wasn't the end of it mash fight then with gravy I left em 2 it after all it was xmas they were NOT going to be doing anything like that again. I still got 2 enjoy à few fork fuels b4 ì slept on my plate, think that must've scared the kids, my face covered in mash sprouts gravy veg and the meat of course although I had ate most of it at the start. That didn't happen again MERRY🎄🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁 XMAS 🌹🎗🌺🌻TO U ALL 💞& A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021🎊🎉🎊🎉🎁🎀🎁🎀🎈🖐♥️ 🥳💞🍻🥂🍾🍬🥖☕🍮🍟🍔🍕🍿🌭🍗⭐🍨💞♥️🥳🎀🏆🏅⚽️🎯🎮🏑🛴♥️⭐⭐⭐💞💞💕⭐🥅🌍🌏🏠🚘🚚🚛⛽
Funny enough I learnt that song at Bedworth singers club in April 1971 and love that Christmas song the singers at Bedworth did the show song for all seasons
Darlene ,,,,,,what year was this ,,,seems like i remember it as a kid ,,,on a big console radio ... brings back ..the ol 60s,,,,when i could actually go across the street ...with money my step brother gave me at 8 or 9 years old and buy him a pack of cigarettes ,,,UNHEARD OF TODAY

Anyone know if there's a copy of this version with a cleaned up audio? Though the muffled sound does give me a bit of nostalgia I never had (I was born in 1990).
