Every once and while there is this one kind of anime that keeps you until the end and when it's over its like you have lost a part of yourself

I'm not that type of person to cry, but when I say I teared up, I teared up at the ending.

Despite the bad reputation in the anime community, this is a series that is on my favorites list

I don't know how this anime did it, but it dragged me into a whole other world when I watched it. it felt like a dream, and I'd do anything to watch it for the first time and experience that feeling again.

Never thought I would enjoy a show that's just one big sex metaphor

I don’t know where else to post this so I guess I’ll just say it here: TV shows, books and movies have never made me cry...that was until I watched Darling in the FRANXX. I’m not even that into anime in general. I wasn’t prepared for this emotional rollercoaster at all. Before I watched it, I would see Zero Two on people’s steam profile pics all the time and think “haha just another cute anime girl that people like.” But after watching the show, especially when her childhood story (or lack of) is explained I was brought to tears. It was so incredibly difficult to watch. I can’t even look at a picture of Zero Two now without feeling sad. What kind of a story has the ability to permanently scar someone like that? The character development was out of this world that made me so emotionally invested in the squad. The ending could have used a little more work but overall this is an exceptional show. The writers managed to make a story full of joy and heartbreak but also told an amazing tale of love and sacrifice. This gets a 10/10 from me. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk...

I'm 3 years late to this party, but that's the magic of anime. I fell in Love with this show.

Remember how all their friends had hope they would come back and it doesn’t matter how long it would take them maybe it’s the same as us believe the Anime will come back no matter how long it takes....

Story time. I was watching this anime in 2018 as it was coming out on a weekly basis and was in love. About halfway through the show after punishment and confession I enlisted into the marine corps and went to boot camp. One of the things that kept me going was the fact that I was going to finally get to binge this show as soon as I graduated. You can imagine my surprise when the show ended the way it did. I have never been more disappointed in my life 😂.

Darling in the FranXX gave me a feeling that I haven't gotten from an anime in a long time. P.S This comment contains spoiler so go watch the anime first. I finished the anime around 10 PM in my room with the door locked. Ngl on the last episode when they were screaming "Darling!" as they flew through the enemies with the bomb, I started crying because I knew they were gonna die and that they genuinely loved each other and how they took that to the end. I cried more at the scene when they said they were becoming one with each other and promised that they would find each other no matter what back at Earth. I started calming down on the scene where the lives of the remaining Squad 13 members went on, were thankful for what the two did, and tried to never forget them. Hundreds of years later, a tree on the hill shows with pink flowers blooming. Then I saw the two orbs that represented them both. Then I cried the most when I saw reincarnated Zero Two and Hiro meet again and both fulfilled their promises of meeting again back at Earth no matter what. The main reason I cried is because of Darling in the FranXX showing the viewers the ideal relationship or love we all want. Love that is genuine, warm, and surpasses boundaries. This anime shows (IMO) the pinnacle of love that we all want and how strong and timeless a relationship can be. Edit: Thanks for the comments and replies, great to see people who see and felt the same towards the show, I really do hope that the studios decide to make another season. I wouldn't really mind if it didn't have much fighting anymore, I really just need a continuation and conclusion to the ending in season 1.

I've watched this over 30 times now and I cried every single time. They didn't deserved that.
