Only 3 spoke, and they're just as bad as he is. They blamed his murderous behavior on mental illness. I see why he doesn't take responsibility for his actions. Smh
No disrespect to the families who unfortunately lost loved ones on that tragic day. I gotta admit that I did laugh at some point most days of this trial. I think this man convinced himself that he was a lawyer and everyone else was on trial
@@katherineleah9701 she’s not crazy, she’s just a mom with a broken heart and in denial. No loving mother wants to believe her baby is capable of such harm. And no matter what age, they’re always mommy’s baby. It’s a tragedy all around.
she, as well as the D.A.'s, wanted to make sure he never gets off on appeal. They all, including the witnesses that he bullied and harassed, did a fantastic job of making sure his trial was more than fair.
I never would have known! I thought that savagely beating up my girlfriend and then running over innocent people at a parade would result in something good! 🤯
The mannerisms of the convicted felon is appalling, and expected. 6 life sentences and 700+ years of prison he is acting as though he is equal to his new friends of the court room. I've seen him in the other court cases hearings. Wheelchair and restrained FULLY. He acted as though he was a prince. Laughing and joking with the court officers. His attorneys for those cases are two extremely tall and tall and built fit African American men. He was offered plea deal for both, refused. Restitution hearing, dude looked like a blow fish or something. BALD, clean shaven and glasses. His nose is huge!
I believe that's it. I think he REALLY thinks it was a shock device. He said it several time through the trial, too. Or maybe someone said "shackle device" and bc he don't listen well he thought he heard "shock device."
anyone notice how polite he got when he "wanted to please the court to give him extra time" LMAO...and then when he was denied, returned back to his bad temper and nonsense distruptions! Typical munipalative monster!!!
@@5Ci0N I doubt Judge Dorow would have put off sentencing. Darrell Brooks on many occasions refused to leave his cell for trial. Even before the trial started, he tried to refuse to cooperate with guards for hearings etc. He would have to be shackled and literally carried into the court room. The longer things were put off, he probably would have found ways to get out of or put off longer.
She's an amazing example of a Judge and a person. She withstood being personally insulted for 2 weeks and still maintained his rights and dignity as a presumed innocent person while he metaphorically spat in her face.
I've said for weeks that this woman deserves a straight pass to heaven plus a bottle of scotch and a vacation which is what I just posted. God bless the woman.
He's such a manipulative fraud. He's very respectful and not interruptive when he wants the judge to extend his sentencing date, which, by the way, is his attempt to delay the inevitable. But when she refuses, he returns to his belligerent, disrespectful ways in questioning the deputy and admonishing the judge for supposedly practicing law from the bench. It's hilarious he was publicly proven to be the usual liar in regard to his shock devices. Also, it's funny only 3 people, not the projected 20, spoke at his sentencing hearing. And 2 of those individuals were family. Disgusting excuse for a human being.
That's exactly 💯 what I was thinking all nice and polite when he wants something to get someone to do what he wants. Oh its"im not interrupting am i.." And he said about 20 some..oh man that's funny there isn't 20 people that thinks anything of him. His mom and that Michelle"would be the only ones talking anything and grandma..but his nephew and rest would beg to differ that he had mental issues..bull crap..he has nothing wrong except a narcissist jackass
No family, no friends, not even a clergyman. Not ONE person for any court day or to speak "on his behalf". Sounds like he's on his own. All the "abusees " can now function in peace.
He has treated the judge with total disrespect. Now he’s begging her for a delay to help him with his preparations. Wisconsin really needs to reinstate the death penalty.
He def didn't think he would he sentenced that fast . Love that he didn't get his way . And 20 people???!!! 😂😂😂 your own mother didn't even come in person
Just an FYI: someone made a comment that they do on occasion, use some type of shock device,. I have no idea if this is true. In the case of Darrell Brooks, most people agreed that they would have loved to see a shock device used. Lol!!
He actually acts like he knows more than the judge…. He wants everything fair he killed six people and injured many and he wants fair ??what a monster!!!!!
@dee bennett if he ever gets free, I’d love to see if you’re on his side when he runs over you and your family. He’s 100% guilty, no question about it.

That shock device thing is just another excuse for him to argue about something. Do you guys really think of he had been told he had a shock device he would wait till the end of the trial to say it ? He would be screaming about it from the day he was told about it.
You are so right with your comment he had that Mass on to hide his smirks, laughing and just being right out disrespectful to the victims he is pure evil 👿
He's a narcissistic sociopath to the 9s! My guess is he will not refuse psyche meds in prison as it will be vital for him to control the beast w/in himself or he will go to the 'hole' aka 'solitary confinement' and naked so as not to harm himself to get out for medical attention.
It's so entertaining to me, as the adult child of a malignant narcissist, to see him act as if he's so fully convinced that the public deserves (or even cares) to know anything about how he was treated.
I understand completely but I do hope he is treated fairly by the law therefore he can't argue, appeal on his "treatment." The inmates will handle the rest of his due justice. And I have no doubt he suggested something along the lines that he would hurt himself to get away from General population.....he is a manipulative, unapologetic oxygen taking narcissist
@@BrandyD1777 I agree with you fully. I shouldn't care what happens to him while he's locked up, but he is one on a very, very short list of monsters that I'd derive some satisfaction from knowing wasn't being treated well. What's most important, though, is that he remains locked away from society so that the rest of us remain safe from him.
@@migbham1 Agree. To know he felt some pain while continuing to cause more pain in the aftermath of his reckless actions that injured & murdered many while he continued without an ounce of remorse shows intent. So the desire to give him any amount of mental or physical pain isn't unheard of.....we are human yet we aren't recklessly speaking (govt tactics, like waterboarding, shock treatment, etc but not taking his life).....he can argue unfortunately many can't argue back or face their perpetrator. Lastly, I could give 2 💩💩 about how & when his sentencing in this case occurs or if it messes without the outcome of other cases. It should be noted your honor, we the people have a right to know his continuos cycle of abuse, breaking the law, etc. and he should not have time to "benefit," be prepared for his next trial(S). Hope I made sense....I just can't believe (actually I do, reasons are obvious) he hasn't once apologized and consistently made it about him & his trauma (his heart is the most broken). Never once did he reel it back in & act as person with meaning in this lifetime, a heart that understood the pain .... nope, me me me.
@@BrandyD1777 You are making sense, absolutely. He's a textbook narcissist and a sociopath. He's shown clearly that he has zero ability to begin to guess what a "normal" person might be feeling or thinking in a given situation. To stand before that jury and express zero remorse for anything other than how profoundly his life has been impacted, to declare flatly that he has no regret and is at peace, and to cry about his daughter, who is still very much alive tells me this. To have watched how quickly his rage and contempt can be switched off for feigned remorse, respect and gratitude for a jury is just frighteningly familiar to me, as someone who was raised in the very crucible of malignant narcissism. That's the thing with narcissists and especially sociopaths, though. They have the ability to pretend as though they are feeling remorse when it suits their purpose, but it's like listening to someone try to sing who knows the words but not the music. It's just not believable. Go back and watch his opening and closing statements. When you or I get upset or emotional, it just happens. If we are in public, we likely try to conceal that it's happening. But not Woods and others like him. They betray that even they, themselves, don't fully believe the act that they are about to put on by announcing (usually by way of an apology) that they're becoming emotional. It's so predictable that it would be funny, were it not for all the accompanying tragedy and loss.
We need a documentary on this guy and how the public was so intrigued by him while also hating his guts. Like I think he’s truly evil and vile and deserves whatever comes his way but I also watched this trial over and over I’m truly enthralled by the chaos.
It's a habit for me, too. I still watch the idiot of the century . Ranting and screaming as though people were supposed to jump the helloutoftheway, and let him be free.
His mom was on zoom and his pretend grandma and some woman talk to a lot of BS and lies and Dawn Woods did that because she is his mom and does not want him calling her to curse her out
This guy just blows my mind! He sat up here arguing about shock Shackles on his ankles when he just killed six people and injured dozens and dozens more. Too bad they couldn't have put shock Shackles on his jaw! He goes from 0 to 60 in a matter of seconds. The rage he demonstrated I court day after day is the very same rage that killed and injured all those innocent people. I sure hope they put him in general population!!!!
See how sweet and polite he is when he wants something that benefits him, but once he doesn’t get his way, he pivots and resorts back to being nasty, rude, ignorant, no manners, no decorum, no civility, nothing of value to anyone once again, but himself
He's talking as if it would've made any difference to the Jury if he was in "Shock" Restraints. They probably wish he had been, I know I do. ⚡*_ZAP_* ⚡ 🤯
So he should be he s a violent criminal with an extensive history of violence, he shows his has a very bad temper and attitude, i think he should have been bound and gagged, again no one cares Darrell most people would hope you were accidentally zapped a few times 😂
He killed six and he was charged with injuring 61 people but he injured far more than 61 people that's just all the ones that serious enough injuries to warrant him being charged. People who also suffer from mental injuries and whatnot were never charged so that number is probably into the hundreds or thousands of people that he either hurt or caused to have mental breakdowns or issues.
I’m so glad she stood firm and didn’t give him his way on sentencing. He will never have 20+ people on his behalf Lucky if he has one and that would be his mother if she shows, so far she hasn’t.
True. I know they interviewed the mother and during the trial she said she would not be there and as for the sentencing the same. She also added that he be held accountable for what he did. Which to me was the right thing to do and say.
His mom wouldn't even show up to testify on his behalf she never even made it to court one time. There's no way she will speak on his behalf at sentencing. More than likely he will have no one on his side unless they let him advocate for himself LOL. Which I think they do.
I was there on 2 separate occasions and no one from his family was there at least they weren’t sitting in the reserved seating that was set aside for them
He said, "I heard 20 people or more will come." Then, he turns around and said, "I've been on (suicide watch) protocol and I can't hear anything, I can't get mail, I can't a phone." Uh... how'd you 'hear' about 20, then? YOU DID NOT. Just another lie which you reveal yourself!! ha ha Oh wait... maybe he 'heard' this from the trolls. "Hey, you've got a kajillion-watch jockstra - er, shock strap on." And didn't he say he'd SEEN those before yet could not correctly identify HIS? Gee - if he had REALLY seen them before, WHY ASK? WHY BOTHER since he knows what they look like?!! C'mon, Darrell - which is it?
His cousin (I believe) was there on a few occasions.....A black male sitting behind him. I don't know if in support or just to watch. He didn't cause a scene, never spoke to him that was seen.....And no I don't think 20 people will show up considering his long rap sheet & don't want to be connected to him. Plus his own mother never showed up. She speaks only to press about mental health & him.....never a sorry to the families that my son was... (fill in here). I think we see where he gets his thoughts/arguments/excuses from...
You disrespected the people that got hurt or murdered, Mr. Brooks. No one cares about what you are feeling, OWN-UP. Be a Man! Be that driver with the “I don’t care what I do, attitude”, the night of the parade. Rest in Peace, to all the victims!
He won't. He can't. He is not capable of remorse or empathy. He has never been held responsible. Not by the justice system. Not by his mother. Not by his women. He has bullied his way through life. Finally someone is holding him to account.
What I found so ironic was him being so disrespectful and outrageouly crude to Judge Dorow, multiple times in this instance, and still, he had the nerve to ask for special privileges on extending the sentencing date! And THEN- the way he was so polite and overly respectful to Judge Dorow, was almost a slap in the face!! After EVERYTHING he has put that incredible, classy, and patient Judge through, to even ask the court and everyone else to show him pitty and grant his extension request, that's a different type of narcissistic behavior!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN OR HEARD A MORE ARROGANT, POMPOUS, DISRESPECTFUL, NARCISSIST IN MY LIFE!!! @@dharper9484 I looked it up and instantly regretted it. 🤨 It was very frustrating as the meaning of that concept differed (as in deeper dives) from source to source. The simplest explanation I found was this: Sovereign Citizens use a twisted reading of the Uniform Commercial Code (?) to support their belief that they can simply write "Accepted For Value" on any bill and/or document and it will be paid by an imagined secret Treasury Direct (?) account set up for them by the govt at birth. There is so much more to this bullsh*t, but it is so tedious, convoluted, and frankly boring. I'm a voracious reader, and even I couldn't go any deeper into their laughable crap on any source.
@@dharper9484 Ikr? If the varying piles of annoying, what the actual fuck horseshit that shows up to darken your screen (and good humor) when you punch "accept for value in return for value" into the Google box are anything to go by anyway.
The man is his own worst enemy. No self awareness to stop his antics in the courtroom which is of no benefit to him given he is now facing life imprisonment.
The reason any restraints were covered up is actually for a defendant's benefit. Wearing restraints during a court proceeding has been determined to be prejudicial to the defendant. Apologies if someone already mentioned this. When the jury is looking at a person in handcuffs, chains, mobility restraints, etc there is a constant reminder of that person being detained by the State. It paints them as a criminal; they are presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, there are legitimate security concerns, particularly when a defendant is accused of dangerous/violent crimes and is facing a significant sentence.
There's no explaining anything to this nut job. I'm pretty sure he was told about the reason for the chair, the reason he couldn't walk to the well, etc. many times during the trial. "This is for your benefit, Mr. Brooks."
@@enchanted376 maybe you should try having one used on your brain. "Would of" isn't correct, it's 'would've', a contraction for would have. Grade 2 english lesson.
It was another attempt to gain sympathy from the jury or at least a single member of it that's what he was counting on. He was hoping that one of the jury members would feel sympathy for him and cause a hung jury even after they come back with the verdicts that's why I said it then in front of the jury. On top of the way he looked at them when they were being polled he had this puppy dog looking his eyes.
What difference does it make? I mean the purpose was to make him look normal for the jury so they would be unbiased. He just likes to argue and hear himself.

@@daisyh2887 Great question. I found the interview with Brooks' mum to be really interesting.
