I named my son Darren, after the GOAT I know. It is through Darren Lockyer that I came to love the Broncos...#BronxNation This is 2023 and I'm in tears as I watched this.
As a blues supporter... I onced got asked "who was the greatest QLD player" the difference in age was clear mum said king wally... but even for me it goes to locky
I have no worry about the future of the NRL. Rugby League is increasingly becoming attached with the roots and emotions of half the country. Obviously in NSW and QLD, I have witnessed seeing the NRL take on a new relationship with it's fans that has so much value and attachment and emotion placed on it that it actually brings people together. What other sport has that?
Broncos have never been the same since both Bennett and Lockyer left. Broncos 6 premiereships all obtained under Bennett’s eye, their last premiereship with their best coach and their best captain guiding the team (sorry Wally). The hole that their departures left in the club I feel they’ve never fully recovered from, hence part of the reason they’ve never had another premiereship since. Even though I’m a Rabbitohs fan, I consider Bennett the greatest NRL coach for his time in the Broncos, not the Bunnies, although I hope he still has some of his magic left to lend to the Bunnies for next season. And Lockyer still remains one of the greatest players I’ve seen during my time I’ve been alive as an NRL fan. ❤
@J G what a joke, no body in Australia gives a fuck about soccer hence why it was relegated to a shit channel for coverage. What has your comment got to do with this video or the original comment you flog?
And it pisses me off that when people talk about the greatest players all time everybody forgets about Locky you hear all the other names mentioned no one says Lockyer when people talk the next immortal you hear all the other names but no one mentions Locky
