I don't understand all the thumbs down??? Thats an awesome ride on one of the hardest bikes made to ride. I don't care what anyone says, 125 two stroke is all or nothing. The bike dances under you the whole time. And for all that want music. .. Fuck Off! With all due respect. ...
I remember all the way back when the original version of this video came out and everyone complained because they wanted a raw version with no music. 1.6+ million views later, I bet you're glad you gave in to their complaints and edited a raw version ;)
i think every big moto team should get there riders 125, do them all up, and have a national race once a year just to show the people how racing should be
wow, its fucking amazing that 1 year ago darryn durham was on a 125 ripping the hell out of his home track and is now riding pro for Mitch Peyton on team green, is 4th in the points lead and just got his first super cross win, Darryn your such a cool guy and are an inspiration to me bro. all i can say is, GREAT FUCKING JOB YOUR A BOSS! you got a bright future ahead
Hats off to Darryn for putting a great video with no shitty music in the back ground to drown out the awesome sound of that two stroke pinned and sceaming great job!!!!!! keep them coming!
this is on of the best videos ive seen on youtube in a long time, I love 2 strokes. DD is one of my favorite riders in the lites class,. Good luck in 2012
wow. I don't like 2-strokes, but that was one tight sounding 2-stroke. Sounds tuned just right. Nice to see ppl actually ride these days instead of putt-putt around. awesome video!!!
@brandonbeckster ha what that guy said, i mean if your light you could make it work, but your just going to be on the pipe everywhere, if you ride the dunes alot your going to be re building that thing all the time
A 125 is way more fun to ride then any other bike out there! And i have to admit he rides his cr pretty good for being on a honda. Im not gonna say too much about them because i have an 06 cr125 and love it to death but i know as well as a lot of other 125 riders that the honda is a little more under power compared to the other 125s
you can get suzuki two strokes and kawasaki two strokes if you wanted small ones, suzuki stopped making their big comp bikes one or two years ago and kawasaki is the same.. the biggest you can get in kawasaki two strokes are the 100's and the only rm you can get is an 85
Believe me, I have an '06 and love it but i have rode every other 125 they make (Kx, Ktm, Rm, Yz) and i have an honest opinion that the Cr lacks in power compaired to the other brands.. As far as suspension.. It all depends pretty much your comfort because every person is differant.
so hes just got 2011 tripple clamps on it. and that makes the 11 fender fit perfect without any rubbbing? along with the number plate. how do the 11 plates mount exactly
the only "brand new" 2 stroke dirtbikes actually are only ktm and yamaha, and small kawasaki bikes.. honda stop making them in 2006 and suzuki stopped making them last year
Thank you for your Video. I searched 125 2 Stroke Sound to Show my 3 year old daughter how her First street MX bike Sounds when she inherits No 1 of 5 it from me. Greetings from Germany 🙋🏼♂️
Darryn, please come to the 2017 U.S.2 stroke shootout at sleepy hollow mx park in Fredericksburg Pa,in September, you really shred on 2 strokes and would be a great competition.
ah i see u got something against quad riders or something i dont understand that thinking of u ppl. u see ive ridden quads my hole life but im not like against dirt bike i actually like them and ive been thinking of getting one... i dont see why u ppl think ur better if u ride dirtbikes imo were all the same just that in a diferent style of riding we all ride and we all have to have balls in order to ride:p
@brandonbeckster I rode a 125 in the dunes very regularly back in the 90s when I was in high school. You'll be hitting every jump in 3rd with it revved so hard that you're waiting for the motor to blow apart all over your legs. AND, if you try to hit anything in 4th, when you G out at the bottom of the face, you'll bog out and lose all momentum. It's definitely doable but I don't recommend it.
wow...some people are never happy, he gives you the video without music....and now you are complaining about a( pro rider ) not using enough revs on his bike, did you ever think that it was probably tuned for more midrange power?? rather than having it just all on top where more heat is going to be produced, which would probably mean the bike seizing up seeing he is wide open the whole time..jeeeees! good vid though ;D
They are pretty fun to ride too, but when it's not you riding it, or your not at motorcross track. You're no longer listening to it by choice, and when your mate goes up and down the driveway again and again and again for a few hours. I would completely understand if someone shot their best mate in the face over this.
I started riding in 1989 back when 2 strokes ruled. If you told me 4 strokes would take there place on top I'd of laughed at you. In my opinion though the smokers are still the better bike. Thumpers cost more initially, cost more to maintain (especially rebuilds), and they require more displacement to be competitive. Most people prefer them because there easier to ride.
guys we should start a band with our two strokes ... i need a guy with a 1994 rm250 with a silencer that needed repacked back in 2003 .... a 2001 cr125 that is keyed in perfectly .... and a 2001 cr500 for the vocals ... ????? .... PROFIT!
Something like that... everyones taste in music is different i guess. Your display picture is pretty crazy, I thought i had a spider on my screen for a second. Had a look around my table to see what i could squish it with
no ktm makes them and sells them in the us same with yz...you can buy new 2012 rm 125's from canada...honda doesnt make their cr's anymore and im not positive about this but im 50/50 you can get 12' kx 2 strokes from canada
Got my first bike (Kawasaki KV75 back in 1974. Followed with a '77 YZ125. Took a break from riding (school/college/service), then got back into it around '89. Years of smokers. Got my first thumper...was a brand new '01 YZ426. Followed that with a couple of CRF450's. Never was a great rider, but good enough to run B class and place. Riding was always just about having fun and getting away from the regular stuff in life. Anyway, in '08 I bought an '06RM250. Following year I bought an '06 CR500AF Service Honda. Had three bikes at once...that CRF, the RM, and the AF. On tracks, split the track time mostly between the RM and AF. The CRF started to collect dust. Long post...but for a rider who just enjoys riding, I gotta say the smokers put the biggest smile on my face. Not interested in racing to win....just racing to get the thrill. Sold the 3 bikes, then bought a KTM530 (it's actually a 505...no idea why they called it a 530. Gotta say it's pretty boring. Has a Rekluse, and pretty much ya don't have to shift it. Just stick in in 3rd. But, it's heavy. Handles kinda like a truck. I have to tell myself to go riding. Think this year I'll go back to smokers. They feel like a race bike, and they really make me try to ride my best at all times...all while putting that huge smile on me. Got a feeling one will make me start thinking of living to ride again.
I Can't decide weather your jealous of how good he rides or how more nice of a home track he has then you......OR THE FACT HIS 125 THAT ISN'T EVEN MADE ANYMORE LOOKS BETTER THEN THE SHITBOX U RIDE.
I dont understand why people hate the sound of 2 strokes. I think they sound amazing when coming out of a corner. But agreeably i hate the sound of them when they are about to blow up
i have a used cr 125 and when we got it the top end was blown up and nothing worked so we rebuilt the whole bike now it is fast as shit. and we only spent like $1,000 all together
what kind opf motor works done to that thing? im guessing like lowered exaust ports, milled head, reeds, pipe, stroker crank, weighted crank high comp piston? things of that sort?
Load this video, set volume to 75%, pause at start Open new RU-vid, load "Hyper - Cascade", set volume to 100% and play Return to this video and hit play Enjoy !
@henrySMX13 the 150sx got the handling of a 125 and the weight as well and it has the power as a 250sx you can say that the 125 is stock and the 150 a works bike
darryn durham, adam ciancirulo, jimmy decotis, mike sotillie, and whoever rides a 125 should throw together a big ass 125 race somewhere lol that would be sick
125's are fun bikes. Every rider should ride a 2 stroke at some point, it will make you a better rider because they are more difficult to ride than a 4 stroke
