I was not planning on owning this magnificent piece of equipment but my GF surprised me with it (See this video: • Video ), and I had to review it for your guys! For me personally, it's probably something I rather plink with until they fix the holster issues (I go more in depth on this in the video), but it's definitely a competitive sidearm! In the meantime, let me know what you guys think about it in the comments!

Good Review. Mine also is slightly loose in the holster, unlike the Deuce or Mk II. It rattles, which could give away my position if I was sneaking about, and I'd worry it might fall out if I was doing hardcore parkour (which at my age and weight isn't likely but I can dream). The orange muzzle attachment appears to drop the fps a little. I need to do more testing as I was getting a range of 120-140 fps with ruby darts with the attachment, and a more consistent 140 fps without. Personally I won't be using it, so if I used the holster I'd probably remove that bit altogether. It is odd that they didn't make a hole to allow it to be holstered with the attachment - I feel that was a mistake, but maybe they worried it would drop off and get lost, it isn't a particularly secure fit. I need to do more playtesting/comparison with this vs. Mk II, Deuce, Fire Rat, XS 908, and the Aeon Pro in my collection.

Thank you. And great observations as well! Like I said in the video it's probably a simple 2 minute fix but it's something that should have come correct from the factory, especially at a $100 price point. I love the Aeon Pro and Adventure force series but it seems like a Max equivalent line. Not sure why Adventure Force is not getting a full on tournament pro series but maybe it's in the future! We can hope! Good luck on your tests!

No idea. It's frustrating how it's almost mid-August and the link still says "We don't know if or when it will be in stock". I seriously hope it's not another MK1.1 situation where they were sold out in about 3 months forever. I would be furious.

Bradley phillips has a comparison video of the bamboo 2.0 dart. The lighter new bamboo dart actually has both lower range and accuracy than worker high end dart.

I believe that 100%. Kind of bizarre that they would innovate a new dart that actually performs worse then the ruby dart. There is just no comparison. I have to try the worker darts. I’m relatively new to the half length dart as I prefer the traditional length, but I would like to compare them all at some point.

@@notnuffnerf yeah the lighter dart has deceptively higher fps but lower range and accuracy. I started using half length about 2 years ago using the ceda s and coming from a country that only has garbage grey trigger nerf blaster in store, the ceda s immediately became my favourite blaster. I honestly was surprised seeing the performance difference between the two. Built my first caliburn a couple months after that.

I started to do an overambitious 1,000 dart test using various short darts in various short dart blasters. Overambitious as I never finished it. As far as I got, ruby darts offered the best value for performance and visibility (for recovery) on the market. The older green bamboo darts with orange tips (Dart Zone Pro Darts) were slightly better, but also more expensive as you got 120 long bamboo darts and 120 short per order, and I didn't want the long darts. These appear to now be off the market, replaced with these oines that come with the 2.1, which appear to be worse than Ruby darts (I haven't used mine yet). The Adventure Force Pro darts (Ember darts) are fine too, but less easy to recover than the ruby darts. I only had older generation 2 Worker darts, the sort with looser heads and the heads not always attached the same, so I avoid worker now.

@@ziploc2000 I only tried the Ember darts in the short time I had the Deuce Pro, and I liked them a lot, but they do have visibility problems in tall grass and urban environments. The new bamboo darts were an overambitious project by DZ, just like the LD darts from Air Warriors were. Lighter will always fly faster and further, but at the cost of accuracy. So far my favorite darts ever are the Ruby Traditional (or "Trad") length. I absolutely love my Max Striker with 3" darts it will probably be my springer primary in years to come. try them when you have a chance!

@@Makotosaber I haven't tried the Ceda but I have a Gameface Prime that I still have to unbox. I might do an "unboxing in 2022" video at some point. From what I hear the GFP is a good Ceda alternative in the US. Are the Euro grey-trigger versions weaker?

@@notnuffnerf no....😭 I haven't brought myself to pull the trigger...it's $100 ,that's alot for a pistol !!! (I should just do it) kinda spent my money at Out of Darts & thrifting this month....thrifted a (rapidstrike, stampede & a swarm fire for $30) &extra 18 stick mags thrown in! Pretty good! 👍💪🤓

Wow that’s a killer deal! And I think the blaster is $94.99 temporarily due to prime days. I could be wrong though!
