I really like the overall look, but I think the mag should have been the sonic green. Nice FPS, with no bog down, great price, well done Dart Zone. Thanks for the review!
I’m really glad that Dart Zone went back and essentially did a spectrum revamp! It looks like this thing fixes all the problems that I initially had with the spectrum, including that god awful mag well. The mag well on the spectrum made it way harder to constantly hit speed reloads, but it seems the mag well on the thunderbolt is considerably better lol. Great vid BTW
I will probably end up purchasing this blaster despite already owning a Spectrum, however I don’t know how much I will actually use it. The Spectrum is one of the least accurate blasters I own and it’s the main reason I didn’t end up using it. I am biased against flywheels however so that is a contributing factor
Just got mine yesterday! It's an amazing blaster for the price! Odd thing that I've noticed. Some stock comes with a green buffer tube while others comes with gray. I don't know if there's any difference other than the the color. Great video btw!
I like the Spectrum better, but only when you cut the nose off. This is just bigger than it needs to be. If you are modding, the Stryfe form factor is better since it is machine pistol size. But as an out-of-the-box blaster to play in the backyard with kids, it is tough to beat. Pretty much the Platonic ideal of a foam blaster. And it shoots 10% higher velocity than the Spectrum. I guess that would be the biggest downside-- might not want kids to use it in the living room.
Wait, broke how??? I mean, in what way? Cosmetically? I'm just very surprised. To me, it feels like it would survive any accidental drops. That's unfortunate!!
As someone who got a Spectrum a while back on a whim, it pains me to hear that this is a Target exclusive. Seems like an excellent upgrade over the Spectrum.
I just purchased this blaster for $15. I plan to paint it. I just noticed your stock has green at the attachment point, like the one I just bought. Earlier reviews and released pictures shows a grey cap on the stock. Now if you take this stock off and apply it to other blasters you will have a green cap on say a red Spectrum. Wonder why they did that?
I would definitely have to say the MK-3! It's absolutely the higher quality blaster! I mean, that makes sense, considering it retailed for $130! 😅 But for your information, my original MK-3 runs absolutely beautifully, flawless! But the one I just bought this month is having some switch issues, and I still need to contact Dart Zone about it. So, as long as that switch hiccup isn't consistent in the new models, in my opinion, 100%, overwhelmingly the MK-3.
