Time Code: 48:21 "Why isn't he super-running..." Answer: greetings, "Obi-Wan Was Too Exhausted To Use Force Speed To Reach Qui-Gon. One of the main drawbacks to using Force Speed is that it very quickly drains the user, leaving them exhausted. Force Speed must be used strategically and in careful moderation - otherwise, the user risks leaving themselves vulnerable."
Padme was 14 and Anakin was 9. just like their actors. Yes, the actress who played Padme (Natalie Portman) was 14. Her double (Kiera Knightly) was 13. Jake Lloyd was Anakin and didn't play in anything else from what I heard. He didn't like the fame and hate he got from his portrayal of Anakin. Hayden Christiansen took over as Anakin.
Looney, you're very perceptive about the Jedi at this point. The had unplugged from any kind of passion or caring since they believed that any kind of attachment would do them in, hence their criticism of Anakin for even missing his mother. They all seem to be taking a double dose of anti-depressants. If Anakin was too old to train because he had already learned to love his mother, you can surmise that their preference is to take them as babies so they never remember their family. And they're right, for a jedi, attachment is a path to the dark side. Anakin needed Qui Gon to be his master and his fate was sealed when he was killed by Darth Maul. So you identified the real star of this film: the soundtrack by John Williams, and one of his greatest pieces, "The Duel of the Fates", so called because it was Anakin's fate being decided in that duel. Keep it up! I love your point of view!
That’s deep as hell with the qui gon and maul determining anakins fate. But yeah watching the Jedi just sit in high and mighty rooms judging a child made me understand ok they are asking to be disliked
Both the originals and prequels changed how movies were made visually. The problem with the prequels is that they were Greenlit and into production without a developed script. Studios realized that if the IP is popular that people will show up and money can be made without the previous effort. That process is still going strong today.
There are many who believe Jar Jar was actually an agent of the dark side. He played off being clumsy but when you really look at some of the things, he did it worked out just a bit too well for him as if he intended for those results to happen from the beginning.
48:24 Even the Force does obey certain laws of Physics. Like the Law of motion. Once you reach a certain speed, you will not be able to stop in time. Obi Wan could have run into the shaft or run into a laser Wall if he was not able to stop in time.
Lucas was a man of vision and creativity. He wasn’t good at dialogue, directing and connecting with actors, or bringing the emotions to scenes. His ex-wife and editors were responsible for the feeling and emotion in the originals. During the prequels Lucas had “Yes Men” To at gave him whatever he wanted. That’s how projects fail to reach their potential.
@@looneysuniverse Yup it's a way of showing who was a student and who had completed the training and could become a teacher themself. Ashoka wears the braid during her time as a padawan to Anakin Skywalker during the clone wars tv show.
51:05 Those ships were mainly used as Highly armed Cargo Ships, they probably never thought about anything beeing able to penetrate their shields and then flying so deep into the inner rim of the ship.
Your view pretty much describes the Jedi to a T. Very few at this point were actually good fighters they were for centuries basically fighting opponents that were on a scale of an adult getting into a fist fight with a 3 year old. Its one of many reasons they are just about completely obliterated in episode 3.
Jar Jar is the one character I despise in this universe. I can even take more of Salicious Crumb (Jabba's monkey thing) over Jar Jar, an that's saying something. I hate Salicious, too.
