Yeah I’m gonna get technical here... actually Jedi try to hit their opponents lightsabers until they see a safe opening to strike the opponent because if they just went for the body and ignored the other lightsaber it would leave them open to their opponent to do the same.

@@artyfarts8006 Well yeah, but that's still dumb. I mean, you could say the same about actual swordfighting - but no one tries to hit the sword there. So if this is indeed canon it's highly impractical.

@@Xardas1001 actually, I learned the information I said above from “normal” sword fighting. Different forms of fighting require different techniques, but many kinds rely on hitting your opponents sword/staff/whatever.

Especially considering how much time you get. They are very clearly prioritizing efficiency in going through all of the kids as fast as possible rather than letting them have fun
