Follow along in this easy 3 step tutorial on recreating the Darth Vader voice effect using Audacity. I realized a while back several of the tutorials people find on RU-vid for this and other voices are slightly out of date or in the case of the storm troopers completely out of date when using Audacity.

That's one of the most accurate Vader impressions i've ever heard. You're able to replicate James Earl Jones' voice so well. Props!

Thanks for this - I was curious how other audio pros would attempt this. My take was to add the delay and verb on a separate reinforcement track with an eq filter to cut out everything above say 200Hz. I'm on PT and currently producing an original fan-fiction mini-series. I'll let you know what I come up with.

Would appreciate it! Always looking to improve the method. His affect is surprisingly easy however to catch that boom and presence there is a lot of fine tuning one can do. Each VA's voice is a little different no matter how close you can get impersonating someone. I imagine pro equipment and boards would of course deliver this however for now...

There is a lot of not only tutorials (big and small) but a lot of plugins and filter support.

That helped me a lot, I was trying to mimic helldivers 2's voice filter and this was exactly what I needed, thanks!!! (And if you can come up with a tutorial for that too, I'd greatly appreciate it!) PS: Subbed!

At the end of the video, you mentioned voice acting as vader. I want to do like a 30 second message to my buddy's 40th bday party. Is that something you'd be interested in?

hey, is there a macro for this? like saved it on note.txt that usually don't repeat the same effects.

I actually don't know too much about macro's I personally need to set one up for this so if you find out... Drop me a link LOL. My hands are jacked and finding quicker ways to do all of this to.
