Nice to see the grey custom build. Ik building the olive green variant at the moment, also with upgraded 350 hubs. Im wondering how is the handeling with that 170 mm fork? As they spec this frame for 130-150 mm. I went with 150 mm nu the way. Very Nice build, very well done!
Thank you. I double checked the Dartmoor 2022 catalog...it says recommended travel is 130-160mm. I decided to install a 170mm fork, condsidering the sag when riding it...it drops down to almost 20mm. Question: my frame is speedone spectre trail recommended travel is 120-140 but i have durolux in other bike that have 160mm travel question is can i still put the durolux in my speedone spectre trail? Does it affect or stressout the headtube or can i use like 20-30sag atleast to make the travel look atleast 140-150 on my durolux
@@rendyljamesp.odango5597 fork travel recommendation is based more on the geometry of the frame. Every frame design is different from the other. Especially the bottom bracket drop...seat tube angle...reach...etc. if you use a fork which has a higher travel than what is recommended...your bb drop will increase, seat tube angle may be leaning further back, and reach will be shortened, thus making the riding position more uncomfortable and not advisable.
So question, for primal 27.5 it says on the website that the max fork is up to 160mm can I still use my suntour durolux 170mm front suspension even if it is over 10mm for the recommended fork?
Yes. Recommended fork travel for the 29er is 130-160mm. I use 170mm on this bike. You see, they did not specify if the recommended fork travel is with the rider on or not. When i ride the bike, fork travel drops down to 160mm.
Primal 2022 HTA is much slacker at 65°...while 2021 is at 66°. 2022 comes with a UDHanger. While 2021 does not. 2022 max tire size is 2.80 while 2021 can only fit a 2.4 tire. Design? I love the 2021 better.
@@yengsabio5315 salamat. 150,000 sir. Magigimg 162,000 soon kasi upgrading the casette to Shimano XT. Hindi smooth shifting ng current casette na gamit ko sa kanya. Plus kailangan din palitan ang DT Swiss freehub body from HG to MS to accommodate the XT casette.

FC-M71xx. what is xx? 00 or 20? i want to build primal 2022 + slx cranks + that 3mm adapter, but not sure that m7100 with its shaft length will be enough. don't i need to buy 7120 boost version with 56 mm chainline and then do some adjustments with chainring offset. thanks
Nice build po, i have dartmoor primal 27.5+ 2017, na nialagay ko 29 wheels size LARGE kaya lng parng maliit, 6’2” po yung height ko, plano ko mg build ulit na primal 29 2022 frame..anong magandang size po xa tingin nyo?LARGE or XL?salamat
Salamat. Yung tropa 6' flat sya ang gamit nya Primal 2021 size XL. Check mo video 5:04 time magkatabi yung primal ko at primal nya. At sa end ng video makikita mo yung tropa nakasakay sa bike nya. So if 6'2" kayo i would highly recommend mag XL na kayo. 🙂 Ride Your Way! 🤙
Oh yes yes yes. Im using 2.60 Maxxis tires now on this same frame. DHF front and Assegai on the rear. With Dartmoor Thunder wide rims 38mm outer width.
Hindi ko pa na timbang sir. Pero im sure more than 13kg sya. Kasi 2.60 na ang tires nya ngayon front and rear. 3C MaxxTerra pa pareho. Mas mabigat compared sa standard 2.50-2.40 tire combo na EXO TR lang. Gusto ko ang weight niya. More weight=more grip. Mas stable ang ride pag may weight hindi bouncy. Mabigat lang pag iahon. Pero sanayan lang. At 30T chainring ko kaya magaan parin siya ipedal paakyat.
Hindi ako familiar sa 2020 Primal frame. Pero sa 2021 primal frame nacompare ko. Sa 2021 frame sagad na sa 2.4 tire...sa 2022 parang kasya hanggang 3.0, head tube angle ng 2021 66°, sa 2022 65° na...mas slack sya. Madami pang iba difference makikita mk sa geometry chart.
Dartmoor Thunder Rims front and rear 37.9 outer width. Dyan sa video maxxis DHR II 2.40 ang rear tire. Dati pa yan. Ngayon naka Assegai 2.60 na ako sa rear. Same rims.
Hindi boss. Yung chain guide mount ang iniipit sa BB. 3mm kapal ng mount. Sing kapal ng isang spacer. Pag naipit na ang mount...pwede nang iinstall ang kahit anong brand ng chain guide sa mount.
