Great video mate and very well put together and thanks for the big shout out. Can't wait for the next one we should get a few others to come out as well😁👍
Another enjoyable watch buddy, a bit of thought and care goes into your shot set ups I think. Nice to see! If you ever fancy a camping trip together I'd be keen, I don't think you are too far away from me.
Thanks mate :) yeah, I think ive shot inside my camp from every angle.. getting hard to think of new ones haha. Yeah, we'll have to talk buddy... got a few things coming up over the next monthish but maybe something over the summer, ATB - Andy
Omg this is just up the road from me and I've never known about it will be definitely checking out and thanks for another amazing video and all the hard work you do
Amazing scenery. Even under that bad weather, everywhere you point the camera, the landscape is breathtaking. No signs of elves or hobbits over there by any chance?
regarding your lack of space for cooking, have you ever considered what i use with my 1 man tent, i use a DD hammocks superlight(small) tarp 2.8m x 1.5m as a porch extension, it makes the tent SOOO useable and really adds to it, can cook, sit outside and view, without getting wet. On one bike-packing trip, i even used the tarp to make an A-frame with simply a ground sheet under it, worked great and saved on weight.
Smashing vid mate/lads. I've only been subscribed a couple of weeks so gradually working my way through, likingyour vids man, Oh and wouldn't be British wild camping without one carrying a forever shopping bag at around 5:25 mins in, 👊
Really enjoyed your version mate, cracking job. I've always wanted to try cooking steak on a hot stone. I'm gonna have to do it now. Take care and thanks for sharing.
A well put together video enjoyed watching it Andy. That walk the second day looked really good. Definitely will have to do it again. Take care mate cheers Karl.
Thanks Karl, It was a good walk, I could have gone further too, just that weather and it was late in the day, glad we got to Black-a-Tor Copse though.. a real highlight. Def will be back down :)
Your filter is quite nice. But... But I would recommend the Katadyn Pocket Filter. It's my pal for years and it pumps up a can like yours within minutes. Ok, it's a bit chunky in comparision with yours, but also worth every penny. It's almost indestructable, lasts for 50.000 litres of water and is easy to clean. Thanks for your vid. I instantly would travel towards England by bicycle frome my hometown Munich.
I wish you would post a graphic of where you are for your American friends (like me) that have a hard time understanding the British accent. LOL. Thanks.
isn't that Wistmans wood? where the hell hounds rise to escort Lady Howard to Lydford to pick her blade of grass? Such a primeval place, the whole of Dartmoor should be like that, but the sheep (which are not indigenous) eat the saplings before they can grow...what a carbon sink Dartmoor would be with no sheep. Maybe for next Dartmoor trip you could line up a few ghost stories for us? Lot's there if you look, it's that sort of place. BTW that wasn't mist, you were in the clouds. Had Beer, must stop spamming.
Get there.. Its a wonderful place, you don't even have to hike to far from a car park to camp as there are so many.. or you can get as far from a road as anywhere in Britain :)
First time I've commented on a 'bushcrafty' vid, I think, but with you I can't stop myself (you seem a decent sort) re: tent flapy thing - get a basha over the top to give extra porch. Use that. Ditch tent (extra weight), use basha. Or always carry basha as is immensely useful (cover, windbreak, worn as rain mac, etc). Many uses. Re: earlier vid. Don't do rat pack vids: say is loverly (cept tuna) and helps grow hairs. And for gawds sake don't swap for yank mre's (nam era stood for meals rejected by Ethiopians, ain't got much better in mho!). I subbed ya after watching a couple cos you just enjoy it. S'goodenuff 4me. See you on the road...
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. I see what you mean with the bash setup, I do need to experiment, Mike from Cornish knives had a hexpeak tent which was pretty light and roomy so also looking at that option. I rather like the US MREs, to be honest, I've not really had any ration yet that I'd say is bad which is nice.. I'm sure Ill find one though haha, ATB mate, hope you enjoy whats to come
Kent Survival you sound like my brother, he'll eat anything (apart from corned beef sarnies, a texture thing). So fair play. I didn't expect you to comment, especially after a couple of months, so kudos to ya. I could add a few things but the fun's in the doing, so do! (ask if you want to). Again, see you on the road!
haha I get the texture thing but I do love corned beef.. fish is my big thing, I wish I enjoyed it. Still managing to reply to all comments at the mo.. I can see how it gets hard though for bigger channels. ATB mate
Hi Zack, I don't have an under quilt for my hammock so not used it over the winter, Ill def get it out again soon.. still getting used to it. Thanks for watching buddy
