There is no comparison, nunez is by far the better player and not only that, he has far more effect on his team with his workrate both on and off the ball. Nunez has more chances because he works harder and makes smarter runs, and is a threat for the entire time hes on the pitch. When the very near misses start to go the other side of the post, he will be posting phenomenal numbers. Man united would love a player like nunez who gives everything every game…if rashford had nunez drive, determination and willingness to work hard for the team, he’d be an OK player, but he dosent have the drive.

@@EllisCarver From what ive seen this season Nunez fits Liverpool like a glove. And from what ive seen with Hojlund this season his link up is just as good as Darwins, hes just playing with Rashford and a 19 year old. Not Salah and Jota/Diaz...

He does move but nowhere near Nunez, Rasmus would be so lost by the pace of a Klopp counter attack but Darwin can create his own chances so would be better than Rasmus at United only slightly though.

For comparison - Nunez touches the ball 39 times a game, Isak 31, Hojlund 28. Chances created is another way of deeming that - Nunez averages a chance created for a team mate is every 56 mins; Hojlund 87 mins and Isak 99. Passes? Nunez makes more passes per game (21.6 vs 16.2 and 18.5) and a greater portion are in the middle third and opposing half.

@@Festus034 the question is isn't whether he makes you a better team or not, it's whether he when given the chance is guaranteed to score which based off factual statistics and watching him play, he misses a lot of chances and gets so many of them so he clearly isn't very clinical which therfore means he would not "slam the goals in when given the chance"

They also always conveniently forget that even though Hojlund want scoring in the PL he was top goal scorer in CL group stages with 5 goals. He has shown that he can score goals.

Sample size of Hoijland is too small to even judge. Could be good, could stay as a forward in a team challenging for 5th/6th. Who knows

He's comparing Hojlund's running to Nunez's, didn't say Hojlund doesn't move enough he said he doesn't move as well or as much as Nunez. It's all very well saying Hojlund runs more than all the other United players, I'm sure he does but frankly that's saying very little.

Also between the two it depends what you want from a 9 - do you want a good all rounder that can play across the front 3 and put up A Goal or assist pretty much every game, and a player who Real Madrid wanted in the summer to lead the line for them or do you want a geezer who hangs around the penalty box and contributes nothing bar finishes. Same question with haaland, he suits city because all he needs to do is stick it in the net, and he’s elite at it. It’s the age old Messi or Ronaldo argument (obviously massively downgraded lol), all depends what you want from a footballer. United would be better with a Nunez type player in the long run imo as he would improve your whole team, he’d also probably be better at Arsenal than Holjund would. Holjund would probably only work for city as he’s mediocre at everything that isn’t finishing, so he’d probs just do what haaland does with less output. Also there’s a reason why United tried to sign Nunez originally but then he chose to come to Liverpool🤷
