Schrecklich, wie kann jemand nur so Verantwortungslos sein? Neues Leben ist doch so fragile, das muss mann schützen, hegen und pflegen, Schande über jeden der das nicht tut!
Diese Folge finde ich sehr gut. Leider fehlt am Ende der Hinweis darauf, das es 6-8 Jahre nach einer Masern Erkrankung zu einer verheerenden Spätfolge kommen kann... ich kopiere einfach mal was google mir auf meine Frage nach Spätfolgen ausgespuckt hat. "6 bis 8 Jahre nach einer Masern-Erkrankung kann es zu einer sogenannten subakuten sklerosierende Panenzephalitis (SSPE) als Spätfolge kommen. Dabei handelt es sich um eine schwere Gehirnentzündung, die immer tödlich endet. 4 bis 11 von 100.000 Menschen sind betroffen, für Kinder ist die Gefahr höher als für Erwachsene." .... Liebes Verantwortlichen-Team, genau das hättet ihr am Ende des "glücklichen" Ausgangs dieser Geschichte noch erwähnen sollen
Ich verstehe ja absolut das die werdende Mutter sich aufregt wir sind natürlich gegen alles geimpft dennoch darf man nie davon ausgehen das sich alle im Umfeld haben impfen lassen
Yes, but on the other hand, when I was a little girl in the 1970:s there was no vaccination against measels yet, so we all got the real infection. And we all - everybody that I knew or heard of - survived it without any lasting consequences. Some people - yes also doctors - also say that the typical childhood diseases are a good way for the immune system to practise. And it might be true, because since those diseases I have practically never been ill anymore. So I don't believe there is one "100 per cent right" and one "100 per cent wrong" in this issue.
Vacinations do the same thing as having the illness: it trains the immune system to combat a certain illness. Just without possible long therm effects later on. Yes, there can be side effects on vaccines as well, but they have to be way less oftene tc. than the long therm effects of the illness they are supposed to prevent. So, not having to live through an illness doesn't mean the immune system doesn't train to combat illnesses. Also: only because you don't know of people that had lasting effects doesn't mean there are not. And as said in the video: these things can be grave. And exspecially with measles, as there can be complications years later that people may not asociate with the infection (like a higher risk to have an infection of the meninges, which ist deadly, as another commenter said). And lastly: just because you have never been ill doesn't mean that that is true for everyone. And I'd like to guess that you did have the occasional cold etc. Which I had as well and I didn't have most of these "childhood diseases" but got vaccinated. Other than that, I didn't have any mayor illnesses that I recall. Others where vaccinated or had the illnesses you refer to and had loads of other illnesses throughout their life. It's part of life that everyone is different. And you can't just say that because something is true for you makes it true for everyone else healthwise. ;) All that said: I wish for your continued health and agree, that there's different ways to go about some of these things (like vaccines against flue etc.). But what happened in the video, the friend taking someone along to a measles party without informing them, that was wrong on so many levels... People may decide for themselves, but never on the health of others without their consent. And in therms of dangerous diseases, I also see some kind of community responsiblity to protect those that can't protect themselves - in this case the pregnant mom, that couldn't get vaccinated even though she would have wanted to, and her unborn child, which had no protection at all. (and there's more cases of people that can't protect themselves, even though they want to) A friend should never endanger a friend - or someone said friend loves. Not knowingly.
meine Kinder sind gegen Masern und Mumps geimpft worden, aber trotzdem hatte mein Sohn Masern, vielleicht in abgeschwächter Form, aber er war auch ansteckend, und ehrlich verstehe ich diese Frau nicht, wenn sie weiß das sie sich anstecken könnte, warum geht sie dann auf irgendwelche Partys, vor allen mit Kindern, oder dahin, wo viele Menschen sind, ich habe mich als Erwachsene auch irgendwo mit Keuchhusten angesteckt, womit ich eigentlich sagen wollte, auch geimpfte können andere mit Masern anstecken, aber das diese Freundin das bewußt gemacht hat, bei einer Schwangeren, das grenzt wirklich an Körperverletzung
