So the Volturi are villains because they don't let the Meyerpeyers aka Meyer's armada of Mary Sues wreak havoc and do whatever they want. So Meyer is implying the perfect world is one where she gets to do whatever the hell she wants. JUST. LIKE. CHRIS-CHAN. The fact I can say that about someone with millions of dollars to spare is FUCKING TERRIFYING!
That acid "explanation" annoys me no end. It's like an afterthought meyer had. Like someone asked how could the Volturi conceal so many dead bodies over the months/years etc and she thought "Oh I know, acid. They use acid to destroy all the bodies." But does she even have a slight idea how long it would take for acid to completely destroy a human body? How much acid it would take? The absolute stench it creates? Clearly not. Even John Haigh had problems with fully destroying his victims.
I have nostalgia and just found that now. And yeah the volturi are the only vampires with a bit of sense, but (or because) they dont do anything xD love that
Lemme just add in more stuff: Between how Meyer thinks that her vampires are perfect and literal gods and her racism, I don't think she'd realize that there are a lot of creatures from other mythologies that could kill a Meyerpire by sneezing. I'll list off a few: Dragons (especially the eastern variety) Qilin Bixie ACTUAL Biblical angels (and demons) Djiin Norse giants Hekatonkheires Einhärjar ANYTHING THAT CONTROLS FIRE I'm even planning to write a fanfic where Bella gets slapped in the face with the reality that vampires AREN'T the most powerful species and destroyed... by a mythological creature known for how KIND it is. That's how much she pissed it off.
OMG you know an AD for those virtal dating site I forgot what it was called but it had a virtual bella and edward and you know what it said.... find your bella. -_- reallly?
think that the volturi are the worst law enforcers in the world. why would you let them go. make edward turn her before they left. and the comment about we will visit you in a few years to make sure that she is a vampire. WHAT! No it should have been turn her into a vampire now while we are watching or your girlfriend dies. Edward would either have to change her right now or watch the love of his life die. and thats the way New Moon should have ended! not that stupid ending we got.
+jkseraphim4 Fifty Shades of Grey and Hush Hush are both being analysed at the moment at Mervin's Livejournal, Das Sporking. They are actually being analysed by a few other writers, not Merv (she is busy with The Host and Halo at the moment), but yeah you can check all of those out if you're interested.
+jkseraphim4 I don't think I will put links here because I have a feeling links they might get flagged as spam. Just type "Das sporking fifty shades of grey" into Google and it should come up straight away. They're up to the third and final book right now, so there will be plenty for you to read. :)
Stupid Google+ reply system! Actually, no. The petrification does nothing to their physical capabilities, so yeah, arson would be just as effective against any vampire.
"We are the Volturi who don't to anything, we just stay at home and lie around, and if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you we don't do anything!"
The more I listen to this, the more I want to re-write Twilight with some sense and genuine reactions. Problem is, how could I keep Edward and Bella to still get together, and want to stay together, when their behavior is logic-infused? Like Edward puffing up and refusing to change Bella in New Moon. Why *not* change her now? And why be so confrontational with these guys? ...oh man, this seems like a much more difficult task than originally believed.
So basically the Meyerpires are just being a bunch of whiny brats because the BIG BAD VOLTURI won't let them eat all the people they want. OH HOW HORRIBLE /sarcasm
I have to dissagree on the whole killing of vampires in our modern age. Yes it would be possible, but only with massive causualties due to their hard skin, speed and strength. However in earlier times that would not have been possible, no matter how many humans there were, they would have never been able to destroy enough of the vampires. But even if, you are right in saying that the Volturi could have been overturned, but vampires could have just as well lorded over the humans, or act as gods.
Edward/Bella in Voltera and how Aro wanted Edward to change Bella but didnt make him change her in front of the Volturi itself STUPID! if Edward broke the law then his punishment should have been settle right then and there, by changing Bella in book 2. instead the Volturi let them go home! Why? I just saw the entire 1st season of trueblood on DVD and when Bill broke the law he was forced to turn a girl into a vampire as his punishment for killing another vampire. Because of this that is why i
I like how you mentioned Lucifer form Supernatural in this video. Ever heard of the crossover fic with Supernatural and Twilight called "Wedding Crashers"? It's got Castiel and the author making that same point with Bella.
