Good engineering plans to strengthen the fire wall mounting. This will provide a much longer life for the model (as long as you don't actually dumb thumb it into the ground). Normal flying and the occasional less than perfect landing should be fine.

Nice job Mark I’ve been enjoying watching the build. What brand of nose gear did you use? Looks similar to Fults

Hi, not really sure, I ordered from a hobby shop in Bangkok a while back when I was living in Thailand, sorry I can't be more helpful. It is probably not a product I would use again due to the increased weight, when compaired to single leg

I like banding wings on but it's a pain replacing them occasionally, bolts are forever but they don't give much lol

The bands I get here, dont last long and keep snapping, so I have to use lots on my trainer! They are easy though, just don't trust them! maybe I need better bands!

I think it is better for the upper sheeting to be cross line.
@MarkRobinson555

Yes cross sheeting is certainly better and stronger, but I went with the plans in this instance, as the fuselage is quite a strong construction with quite a few cross formers, and the longtitudinal sheeting was quicker.

I cut every think by hand, with the ply I use a fret saw with a nice fine blade

@@MarkRobinson555 thanks for the info. I am in the process of building the same model. Not my first balsa build but my first scratch build. I've been using a scroll saw and cleaning up with the sander after
