@@hackedy9834 apparently Casey is married in the reboot 😭😭😭 so there better be Dasey moments or I would be so sad. Like that poor husband will just be a third wheel just like the previous love interests

Hmm, good question (I hope I don't write anything too cringy lol). I think that everyone can agree that Derek realized his feelings for Casey long before she did, but there was no way he was telling her that. Since the two of them are going to be going to collage together, away from the fam, he decided to sort of try his luck, I'd say. He said the "STEP" part very clearly and in a way that's more serious to see how she would react, if she would react. And then Casey said "same difference" which was like the ultimate brother zone, but she looked all adorable while she was saying that, so I would say his thoughts were somewhere along the lines of "Damn, I'm in it way too deep, but it's never going to happen". This might even be the first time realized how f***ed he was. There's also a possibility that he noticed the vibe Casey was giving off, but I like to think that this was the moment where they both realized how bad they've got it, but the step sibling thing was a gigantic obsticle.
i think its kinda obvious lol even if they can't make it canon. But what about Caseys face??? THATS what i've always wondered. Like.. how else can you take Derek's face and tone??? so WHY did Casey smiled like that at him??? i want to know her "not canon" thoughts and feelings right there.

Derek face and tone is totally understandable, according to our headcanon lol "Im in love with her, but we can't be together, this is torture", but what about Casey? if she was already in it too deep she wouldn't be this smily in this situation?? i don't know, HER reaction, her smile while very clearly seeing Derek response and intentions, let me very clueless. i can't imagine a headcanon of whats going on inside her head
Of course. I actually really liked the movie. I know some people didn't because of Casey's decision, but it was still great. Also, one of my favorite Dasey moments is in it, so...
