Thanks! I was going crazy, trying to remove the old rivets without destroying them. I ended up drilling them out just like you showed here.

This is awesome. One Q though - you did show in great detail how to connect dash speakers by cutting off OEM connectors. Do I need to cut off the connectors on the doors too and follow exactly the same soldering drill with door speakers? I believe the answer is "yes" but want to double check. Cheers!

Thank you very much. The answer is yes you do! Solder or crimp! What ever is easiest for you!

Right... The small mid tweeter pointing up against the windshield was the problem. In the meantime, the coaxial tweeters in the door speaker are there for which reason exactly? or maybe you have cut them our as well...

The ones in the door are fine. They add to it. To explain my tweeters point at the window theory I always felt like I had to turn up the highs in the EQ in order to hear them but by that point they were to high and distorting. By having them point at me this means that they don't need to turned up as high on the EQ. In an ideal world having all speakers except the sub pointing at you is the best. Also having a butt load more sound deading!

Great video! Can you recommend some door speakers that will sound considerably better than the stock ones without breaking the bank?

Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony usually have something that is in the £30 mark that are a good upgrade. Look for a 2 way or a 3 way

could you put in descrpt what speakers r u using ??iI installed 2 din radio that can install 4x50 watt speaker power from the same manufacture that your speakers and im looking 4 new ones cause fabric speakers is not good .Peace ya

Brand doesn't matter when it comes to speakers. You search for speakers on the size and power they can handle (RMS). (There is other stuff when you get into it but thats the basics) For your 4x50w output on your head unit most speakers will be fine with that power. Any 100mm speaker will in the dash. Then for the doors you need to buy an adaptor for your speakers to fit. (Search Toyota Yaris Door Speaker Adaptor) Then buy the right size of speaker that fits that. If it is an adaptor for a 165mm speaker then you will need a 165mm speaker. There is a lot to speakers when it comes to types. You could get components speakers, 2way, 3 way ect. I suggest youtubing some videos of speaker types to get to know them

Hi, I would like to know which speaker mounting ring/adapter/mounting bracket I should buy for the dashboard speakers. I want to go with a JBL Club or Stage series. However, the problem is that they do not come with a grill/mounting bracket. I searched online for 100mm brackets that can fit in the dashboard section, but I couldn't find any, only spacers that are the right shape, but then it will not fit under the dashboard speaker grill. I see that you have folded the other two cross points. Thanks in advance mate.

The dash speakers don't need an adaptor. I have folded two tabs as they hit the dash if they are left unfolded. They just screw into the holes and sit exactly the same as how the old ones sit in the dash. I've worded that really bad but you take the old one out and replace it with a new one. Not adaptors needed

What size are the bolt and nut you used bro for the installation in the door?
@DriveShifty
@DriveShifty Год назад
Off the top of my head they are M6. Ones about 20mm long should do. Wished I'd mesured them now I would recommed mounting them with some threaded inserts but the nuts and bolts do hold so longs as you give them a good tighten. Just hold on to the tread as you trun the nut!

What are the best speakers for dash any sony or jbl

I wouldn't say there was a best brand of speaker. You can spend some silly money on speakers! Just make sure the RMS is similar to what your headunit or amps output

bro, I upgraded the front door speakers to the TS-G1720F and the dash speakers to TS-G1020F. My head unit is the Sony DSX-A410BT. Audio is aight but there's hella vibration (and the bass doesn't sound great if I'm honest). What would you recommend?
@DriveShifty
@DriveShifty Год назад
Two things it could be. To much bass making it distort. Or there is something lose in the doors. Maybe the speaker needs to tightened? Could be something else. Take the door cards off play something bassy and try and find what's rattling

Hi bro which adapter did you use for the TSg1720fs in the door? Thank you
@maffanb
@maffanb Год назад
@@camxan63 search "CT25TY01 speaker adapter". I'd recommend you buy "component speakers" with an amp instead of the ones I've specified. Save you money and will sound 10x better

My old speakers are really shit do i need an amplifier for jbl gto629 6.5 2-way 360watts?? I have no idea what im doing😅
@DriveShifty
@DriveShifty 3 месяца назад
No you don't need a amp! Upgrading to a aftermarket head unit will make more used of the power that they can handle! The 360watts is the max watts they can handle but it's used more as a busy word. RMS power is what they will sit at all day everyday and not blow up. So when your head unit says that it will output 4x55watts. You will want to be pairing it up with a set of speakers that have a RMS of 55watts or higher is perfect! And the 4x bit on the headunit is that it has 4 different channels. Front left, right, Back left and right. Your JBL have a RMS of 60watts which will be perfect for most aftermarket headunits!

There is a little clip behind the base of the handle. They are a night mare to get off. I've struggled for years with my rear door cars on my other yaris! There is a micro fibre trick where you slide it in behind the handle and it pops out. That or a pick tool is your best bet
