Exactly the type of bloke I wouldn't brake for. Let the idiot drive right into the bullbar & destroy his own car. I'd even make the unprecedented move of getting the paint on the bar touched up just so I had a bill I could send him a couple of months later to remind him he's a flog.
The guy asking if the person who undertook and then spun out in front of him, was ok, was a shining example of how to handle these things. Very laid back.
8:25, that truckie needs a medal, that was some VERY impressive driving to pick it all back up there and get back on the road after that drongo tried to head on with ya mate!
@@eddiev2257 Actually, probably rides a motorcycle. One of the things they teach you when you learn to ride is to scan side streets when approaching them-a moron check, if you will.
Can’t you all just give the p plater a compliment? sheesh! They aren’t all smoking the back tires off commies and doubling the speed limit in residential streets.
I really hate the people that overtake on high speed country roads and force cars coming in the opposite direction to take action to avoid a head-on collision. They are unimportant people in a hurry to go nowhere and risking other people's lives to get there.
Honestly your best bet is to just hit the brakes, don't swerve. Swerve and you can come off the road and kill yourself, but if you just slow down then if the other car hits you, you'll be going very slow and the impact will be minimised to you, since your car should absorb most of the force.
They're actually making a decision in their minds: either this stranger obeying the rules gets out of MY way so I can shave 30 seconds off of my 2 hour travel time, or we both die. Surely they don't want to die, right? *literally their thought process*
Country drives should be relaxing in the sense that one is able to maintain a sustained appropriate level of alertness the entire time, but be relaxed when they get stuck behind a B-Double averaging at 85 km/h for 10 km.
The trouble with country drives is the morons from the city on country drives. You're all off in La La Land, way under the speed limit, seemingly no clue where you are going & totally oblivious to other motorists. People live & work out there. Wake up, stop day dreaming & drive properly.
Dear Dashcam Drivers, I would respectfully like to ask that you have your mics on inside the car. We love hearing the creative insults that are said. Sincerely, Everyone that loves these Compilations. 😊
I've always assumed the biggest reason why some footage is without audio is due to copyrighted songs being played which aren't able to be uploaded without repercussions. Also, some people would send in their footage without audio to begin with.
some bloody good driving on the truckies part, managed to avoid the collision, while going off the road on a bend and seems to have managed to pull it all back on to the road in one piece without overcorrecting.
@@Oakpathetics can you imagine being so arrogant that you are willing to play chicken with a loaded b double? that guys head must be so far up his arse.
@@sgillard960 agree most should be passed on resulting in demerit points/fines, but this particular one had a risk of fatalities which should be complete loss of license
Just want to say thank you to everyone with incredible defensive driving skills out there. You are saving lives on the road. 8:26 is a perfect example.
That is the DEFINITION of defensive driving. Avoiding a collision, not overcorrecting to get back on the road, in a road train, whilst keeping all that weight attached…. is simply insane
@@MickH60 Defensive driving is driving in a way that such that you don't get into a dangerous situation in the first place. E.g. noticing that a driver is behaving unpredictably and hanging back just in case, or slowing down for potential hazards. Clearly can't work all the time when the completely unexpected happens. Simply avoiding a collision is just that, avoiding a collision.
You know when 2 dogs are separated by a gate/fance, they want to rip each other apart, but as soon as the gate opens they are docile and want to be friends? Yeah same thing, the DC driver didn't know what to do, he was surprised to be face to face and offered him a beer instead :D
4:52 Well done to the "P" plater in this clip, if you hadn't been so quick you'd have redirected that white hatchback straight through the corner store window!
Greetings from Canada. I really enjoy your videos. Trouble is, I have to watch the clips several times. I find myself looking at the landscape and scenery instead of the traffic. You have a beautiful country. Cheers!
@@chrisasimopoulos4106 The brake lights were on before the white car even reached the intersection, so it was the P-plater's own work. Good defensive driving there.
@@raith3700 Nor should you. They brake for no sane reason and fail to brake when it's important to avoid an accident. Teslas are the worst. Seems like just a speck of dust in the air will send those broken systems into full panic-braking mode. Either that or 100% of Tesla drivers are bellends to a degree that they're into random brake-checking. ....Which given how most Tesla drivers are, isn't implausible either. 😆
So that's 60 people that don't think it's a good idea to make yourself as visible as possible if you are speeding towards a potential head on regardless of who's at fault. Any more idiot takers on this one?
@@MickH60 There's idiots everywhere but some clown hitting you with all his lights after presumably being able to see you coming before he blew the stop sign is a bit different to somebody suddenly going "oh shit" & giving a flash of thier lights. In your case, it would be you I would expect to flash your lights, not the numpty trying to kill you.
Probably hit his foot and ankle. If they had proper full length boots on, they'll be fine except for a bruise and some soreness. If they had trainers/soft shoes on, potentially a broken bone or two in that foot. You can hear he sounds like he's in pain post-impact. Good skill to keep it upright though.
That was me! I'm perfectly fine. It somehow ripped my jeans, but my leg was untouched. Just damn lucky I managed to avoid hitting it with my front wheel. I have a bit of panel work to do, but other than that the bike was fine (Honda ST1100, built like a freight train!).
@@Mort221 Would you believe it ripped my jeans but didn't touch my leg! There's an engine guard just in front of my leg that bore the brunt of the impact. I believe that's what saved my leg.
@@Banana_Split_Cream_Buns Yeah both of those have to have been U-turns on the on-ramp. Otherwise in the first one they would have had to have been on the wrong side of the M2 for an eternity to get to that spot, and the second one would have had to cross the entire Harbor Bridge from the wrong side of the Cahill Expressway 🤪
@@chrisharmer1448 That's possible. I saw someone reversing down an on-ramp once. If they will do that, then I can believe that someone might do a u-turn.
The dude on the Cahill missed his exit to North Sydney/Kirrabilli and/or simply didn't want to pay the Bridge Toll doing a u-turn. He literally would have just turned around onto the on-ramp to get off
Yeh. Thought this was a bike. Truly lucky to not have parts of wood impaled into you; it looked like it should hurt - hope the bike took the brunt, but the cheap bits.
8:25 that truck driver had more concern for the life of the idiot in the car than the idiot in the car. know of a truck driver that died doing the same thing, woman who caused the accident didn't even lose her license.
"woman who caused the accident didn't even lose her license." And that's why we have repeat offenders, because of lax laws that don't punish those who cause serious injury or death.
Then loss of business and crippling insurance costs to the trucking business, and as you said fatality. It’s a necessity for dash cams in trucks today, should be standard accessories in every vehicle..
@@tobybrown1179 major transport companies that installed cameras found that on average they paid for themselves in 12 weeks, due to the number of false allegations, one in particular I recall a driver was accused of driving erratically and speeding prior to running up the back of a car, multiple witnesses and physical evidence seemed to prove his guilt. video footage from dash cam showed a driver reverse out of a driveway in front of the truck immediately prior to collision, none of the witnesses or the driver of the car were charged with making a false report.
It's generally tourists who do this type of crap. They've got no idea where they're going, nor do they have any regard for any other road users around them. Anyone who comes here from a different country & wants to drive on our roads, should be made to sit a test before they even think about doing so. They're the one's who cause 90% of the accidents.
That wasn't as bad as one of the clips awhile back, when a kid ran across the road in front of a 4WD, missing the kid by inches.😬 If there ever was a heart stopping moment, that would've been it for me.
@@metarugia3981 A few months back, I hit a roo, no taller than a 4 or 5 year old kid would stand. Complete decapitation. My wife said: "That was clean & quick. Imagine if that was a kid" No thanks. That's a thought you don't want to be a reality. Although, some need a good scare, just enough to snap them out of their brain fade.
@@moshesheckel7369 To the roo? It was dragged back into the bush, where it came from. Who takes pics of such things? That's a bit weird. Unless you were referring to vehicle damage. I had none. Bullbars do their job. 👍
I'm only four minutes in and I'm already convinced that January is the month for seriously crazy and dangerous driving. I mean, some months there are fools but so far in this round-up, they've all been potential disasters.
Preach, I moved to rural Victoria a few years ago to look after the folks and jeepers george if driving doesn't turn into a bloodsport over December and January. Between the rocket surgeons towing overloaded caravans and trailers with vehicles not up to it, and the raging loonies who can't be behind another vehicle for more than a minute without pulling a risky overtake 😬 I try to stay off the road as much as possible.
This is for the whole country. So that means WA/NSW/VIC/QLD/ACT maybe one or 2 clips from TAS and SA and that's how the whole compilation works. I see a few places from my home state in Queensland and yeah, I do shake my head in wonder.
For me, the dangerous passing is the worst. You have the choice of when you pass and a head-on at those speeds will most likely kill everyone involved. It's F'd
@@nolesy34 Last trip I made to Brisbane (from Sydney), I'd been passed by a pair of knobs in Bogandores. They were moving. I'd passed them a few times when they made loo & fuel stops, only to have them pass me again several minutes later. Still booting them hard. We cross into QLD, hit the 5 lanes, then they get stuck, dicking around, lane changing... in my rear view mirror, gap growing. 🤣🤣 Gotta love Saturday mornings between Tweed & Brisbane! Also good to have a 1000+ km fuel range. And a bladder larger than a thimble! 🤣🤣
@@KevinD_33x150 if you played your cards right you can time the last piss stop before you make the gap possible See them in the toilet and say pee ya later
@10:00, I don't mind saying I had alittle chuckle. If this is the calibre of content and it's only Janurary I see 2023 being a banger year for dashcam footage.
This is by far one of(if not the best) compilations on this channel. The reckless endangerment and no ₣ϋʢӃs given attitude from some of the drivers in this comp is ₣ϋʢӃing scary. You almost need to be driving a semi or a tank to be safe on the roads.
Campervans ditto.... and they can be driven on a normal car licence.... someone from overseas who drives a city car can be vertically challenged by low hanging everything (trees on rest areas a speciality)
0:35 I absolutely LOVE that the box truck continued and dragged itself all the way down the side of the red light jumper!!! I always said to myself that if I crashed and it was the other person's fault, I'd literally do similar, get as many panels involved as possible!!
@@SafeRoadsAustralia he could potentially argue that the loaded weight of the truck prevented him stopping sooner, or that the car impact damaged a braking component... Or maybe, truck driver losing consciousness?
@10:00 OMG Loveddddddddddddddddddd it. Kept watching it over and over seeing that scooter guy get hit lol to FUNNY AF loi he wanted that RISK so badly.
It's only a matter of time before scooters and e-scooter riders' injuries and deaths start piling up, because these people have zero clue of the road rules, thinking they can do whatever they want. Sooner or later, their luck will run out.
There are hundreds of videos explaining how to do a truckers slip knot. You would think even a ratchet strap for $15 from the Reject Shop would do the task just fine. But no, just toss it on a go 100.
8:57 Is right before the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and as you can see it's one way only. So I'm so curious as to how that driver must've done a 75 degree turn to go the WRONG way hahahaha
1.Inattention. The ones that don't collect someone on the way through would remain completely oblivious. 2. Entitlement. The ones that collect someone on the way through will be blaming the person they collected.
@@SafeRoadsAustralia They're also very poor planners & time managers. Do most suffer the Dunning-Kruger effect? In their mind they are so much better than they "think".
@@SafeRoadsAustralia Yes, some have skills, but those are used in the wrong places. If they planned things better, they'd never miss a turn, never need to overtake dangerously & could possibly be early for whatever it is they're in a rush to get to. Unless it's their funeral. Hopefully alone.
The driver @ 5:25 Curbed divider? Naw, it's barely an obstacle. Blocking traffic? Hell yeah! 😅 3.3 m bridge height? Naw mate, I never check my van's height 😂
