I poke a hole with a thumb tack when I hard boil them. They peel really easy

I have that one. The only issue is the sound it makes when the eggs are done. It’s a loud screech that hurts my ears.

Much easier to peel if after the cold bath, you put one in a tall tea glass and shake it around (covering the top)......when you pour the egg out onto a plate, the shell with just about drop off. It's a combination of swirling and gently shaking in the glass. You will get it.

What if you want to do only 2 eggs do you use the same water amount?

You use the same amount with 2 as you do 6. Same steam time.
