Dashas Revisited: Rahu Mahadasha - Test Of Character Against Evil Thoughts, Illusions (Maya), Desire 

I have Rahu in my 9th house in Libra, I am currently passing my Rahu Maha Dasha, it will end within a couple of years. It took a lot from me, at the same time it gave me a lot too. I left my homeland, traveled a lot when it started, that time I had no idea what is going on in my life. I had no Idea about Astrology, I had false hopes, now I know, how I was betrayed and why! Now I know I am changed, I am a different person than before. Now I know nothing or no one can break me again. I started rahu at 25 years of age. I can tell you that the journey was hard. I didn’t have many friends or either could I keep them. Rahu was trying to teach me that if I wanted friend I had to stop judging people. And to keep my ego 😅 in check. I could only make friends that had big egos or were superficial. But lets face it a 25-35 year old hasn’t mastered the ego. I was doomed to learn my lesson. Trust was a huge factor in my life. Also I woke up during this period of my life and realized that everything around me was the maya.

I just recently discovered that I've had rshu mahashada and it will be going on till 2028. I have learned a lot about myself and I have noticed the changes within myself. Until I discovered astrology I did not realize that I was an empath, i did not know anything about the spirit world. It was if I was blinded. In my time of spiritual awakening I suffered the dark knight of the soul I felt "alone". I slowly realized I wasn't alone. Ego was taking over my mind. I let go of these thoughts and continued to manifest only postive thoughts. Till this day I will continue to trust myself, make choices of my own, and not rely on others but to rely only in myself.

My Rahu mahadasha going to end in 2018.18 years of very difficult journey throughout which made me cry each day still i felt some positive energy to do something big in life, though with lots of difficulties but i became doctor which i dreamt of,so i think we should not give up all throughout the period..good luck.

Mam thanks. I m in my 13 yr of Rahu Mahadasa. Now I m 28 plus. But in 2005 -06, when d dasha started, I was terrified. Couldn't concentrate on studies, mental problems, repetitive thoughts, ocd like feelings (it's present nw also), etc. I remember I was a brilliant student up to d age of 16 plus, bt when dasha came, I couldn't stand Nd give answers to ques. that I know very well in classrooms. I am in Jupiter mahadasha but I remember Rahu mahadasha with nostalgia. What you say about Rahu is right, but I had a lot of material success and sex encounters in Rahu. It was great! But i was mentally tormented. I also had terrible social anxiety disorder, but despite this I had some beautiful women and a well paying easy government job. Luck! According to Ernst Wilhelm, Rahu is the period where visualization and the law of attraction are most intense. I didn't know this at the time since i was not into astrology at the time. No betrayals but I ended up doing some hare brained foolish adventures and risk taking of varying degrees. The betrayals came later in Jupiter/Ketu dasha.

Life is the choices we make. Know yourself. Lead life with grit, determination and have resilience in you to determine what is wrong and what is right. Keep away from greed, attraction, arrogance and delusion/anything beautiful otherwise. Avoid attachments and false hope -> erratic behavior/aggressive . Be disciplined with your thoughts. Practice awareness and alertness. Do what is right. Learn to be resilient, self belief and conviction to overcome difficulties. Be disciplined and don't trust anyone easily. Be vigilant, alert and independent. Use your rational /intelligence when someone is saying something. Be firm and not aggressive. Stay calm and not impatient. Hard-work will bear fruits. Don't make conditional moves in any relationship(personal/professional). Take care of your health. Can read through close people and this can be hurtful sometimes. Don't take people with face value. Accept that close one's can hurt. So, be rational. Being independent of thought, word and action is the best attitude. Being introspective and doing self evaluation will help and you will do good. Rectifying wrong shows Rahu is well placed.
