*Please be advised, the language in this video may be too strong for young ears.* I am a single mom working DoorDash as an extra hustle to get myself out of debt. Thanks for watching!!! #doordashdriver #ridealong #debtfreejourney
When u were climbing those stairs and opened that first door only to realize 😳 there was a bunch of parked cars that had me laughing so hard 😆 hehe 😅 😆 all kidding aside I would have been mad to but i would have laughed later on hehe 😄 😉
Next time, if the elevator doesn’t work, let them know you are leaving it in the lobby or the mailroom. I will not tolerate that unless they are disabled.
I can so relate to you. Watching you is so more realistic than other videos. You go through real issues I’ve had while dashing. And you always handle them like a pro. Love your videos.
Ugh! I know this video was a year ago but it's pissing me off. I've never door dashed or uber eats but I order food delivered a lot! And always tip! And I never ever ever make a delivery person come inside my building all the way to my door to give me my food. I'm outside waiting for them, rain or shine, night or day and they are able to give me the food and leave immediately. Sometimes they drive up, stop and had me the food through their car window (so no looking for parking and walking blocks back)! I can't believe how selfish and lazy it is to sit on your ass while someone struggles to bring your food to you inside an apartment complex! Unless you are physically disabled, get up and go down and get it! And I'm sure these people are the ones who don't tip!
I delivered 30 deliver's for door dash and I turned down hundreds of trash orders. Door dash and the customers didn't pay me enough for it to be worth my time. I live in Mississippi and I averaged six to seven dollars a hour after gas expenses. Needless to say i no longer drive for doordash or their competitors.
I would suggest leaving the food in the lobby and taking a picture if you get stuck with the apartment drop offs. Saves a lot of time. If the customer is hungry enough, they will come down and get it.
Exactly because a lot of people don't know that doordash only cares that it was marked delivered I found that out the hard way when somebody tried to screw me over and I told them the conversation was recorded with doordash I didn't receive any more text messages I just went ahead and contacted doordash anyways that they tried to do fraudulent activity and they didn't even care about the fraudulent activity they just kept asking me was it marked delivered and if any customer tries to contact me because they're upset I just do not answer
Oh and it stinks running around a building and getting lost, I have been lost more than once. I also hated those darn gates that required a code for entry lol 😆
I never go to apartment doors anymore. Besides getting lost and going through a maze, it's dangerous. Customers never give proper instructions. According to our contract it's not mandatory. I make them come outside.
I try to stay in the same area and get used to the apartments in the area. I ventured to a different zone once and had to get help, but your experiences give me anxiety!
The best part about down town. Is you can deliver a drop off at an apartment then get an order from the store directly below it. But I can relate. I’ve had to walk up several flights of stairs because I couldn’t find the stupid elevator.
Nice video. I love that you’re doing gigs to get out of debt. So awesome and inspiring. I work full time plus do gigs on my off days. That apartment order was a nightmare! Keep hustling!
Omggg apartments like this pisss me the eff off Foreal . Like you know It’s hard to find and only tip 3 dollars . I had that happen the other day . Had to go through a maze and then finally found It just to see a dollar tip like the hell and it was out my comfort zone area
That's why if I see if it's an apartment I don't usually do it unless it's a whole lot of money I'm not climbing no three stories for no less than $20 I usually don't do them at all just takes too long
Those are the worse. I would've told them the elevator isn't working and left in lobby took picture and be done. They are being real lazy just meet us dashers at the front. Then they don't tip.
Oh my goodness, you just came out the apt bldg from hell & I realized you didn't find the apartment & have to wait for the customer to find you. Oh my goodness! Why won't they give us some simple directions?
I've only ever ordered through doordash once. Not the best experience. Got like 3 tacos, tipped 5$. (I live less than 2 miles). He drove passed the main entrance and I only has 2 tacos. Taco Bell didn't properly tamper seal the bag, so idk who got my taco. Anyway, watching your videos does make me want to try and be a dasher. I LOVE to drive. Love to drive around to new spots. You get to see what people order. Find hidden gems.
I always make sure to rate the delivery good or bad. Maybe doordash will understand that their customers will not get their food if tips, or lack thereof, suck.
I am starting it so don’t have to coordinate time between my steady job. Since barely able to pay minimum on debt treating this job as extra to go towards paying off debt. Used to not have as hard of time but my groceries to feed my family have doubled.
Who TF doesn't tip! Honestly, when you go pick up food or go through a drive-through people want you to tip them for doing absolutely nothing you're out here busting your back and people don't even tip? I can't believe that that service even allows people not to tip.
The person could have came down . Met you . Here again those kinda thoughts are in Dreamland . Specially for us drivers we all know that doesn't happen
What time during that day did you start dashing? And I think your complaining is hilarious..the mosquito bite had me crying laughing. I enjoyed your video I’m also a dasher..that despises apartments.
I've been tempted to drive down to downtown st Pete one day because it's always busy on the map but it's the lack of free parking that worries me...I pick up from downtown Clearwater sometime and they have limited parking also so I park a block away. I've been fairly fortunate with apartments but it's a pain to find building numbers and I deliver mostly at night.
Is your debt consolidated? Hopefully, it's at a low-interest rate. You don't want to just be paying the interest on it. I love your dashes and your channel, Mama! Love from Ontario, Canada.
18:30....FINALLY an apartment building elevator that WORKS! All is right in the world. Crazy how folks are - I think it's just a lack of common sense and respect for fellow humans. I think I waste too much of my time being considerate, thinking of how I treat others, and how I would like to be treated. But sometimes I think I'm the only one who does that LOL. Did you schedule this shift, or just just start dashing now when you began that day? Also, if you just try and dash now, do you notice your area go gray often or does it remain red and active during the day while you are out? I am new and just getting started, trying to figure it out. Thanks!
I scheduled this shift. I always try and schedule if I can, but I do like having the option of dash now always available in case I can't schedule or I happen to get a day where I have time to go out when I normally wouldn't. To be honest, I don't really pay attention if it stays red or not. I just have certain areas that I try and stay in that are usually hot spots.
I hate aparments i had an order once for the 4th floor and it was a gated building. They lady couldnt get her code correct took her three teys to get me the right code so i could get in. Then once in it was a maze to find the building and then to top it all iff get to the elevator and there is a sign for residents only. I had to take the stairs I was so mad and fine for the day after all that and to make it worse $1 tip
