Dassault Etendard: In Service of the Republic 

The Argentinians love this aircraft even more than us french people, it should've deserved a mention at least, even if that pisses off the tea mains.

As an Argentinian, we have some Super Etendart. I even touched one on display a few weeks ago. Marvellous aircraft!

Casually forgot to mention its role in the Falkland War? ^^

During the Malvinas War, Argentine Super Etendards sank the destroyer Sheffield, the transport Atlantic Conveyor and damaged the aircraft carrier Invincible.

As an American, I can respect france for not falling into the same trap that the UK did in becoming dependent on the US for most military technology.

As someone who has sunk a ton of hours in both the IVM and SE in game i can say this with a fact, its an amazing aircraft and can dogfight above its class and hold its own, i cant wait for more variants of the Etendard for events

Gaijin, you guys missed a big part of the Super Etendard history. The first use in combat was in 1982 sinking the most advanced antiair warships of NATO then. 1982 was a wake up call for the navies all over world to reform their defenses and aeronaval warfare. The french made big money selling Exocets thanks to the publicity they wanted allowing their technicians to work with the Argentine Navy to make them work. Though the SUE's only internationam client was Argentina.

Note that just because the Etendard IVM in game lacks the R550 Magic 1 does not mean it never mounted them. If the IVM had remained in service it would have flown with R550 Magic 2's as well, as the Super Etendard did in real life.

Hey gaijin I have a really good idea, what if you add trainer aircraft to the game this could include the L-29, t-6 Texan, etc. The planes would all have their own tab and they would also have a research tree but this tech tree would be much easier to grind for. When you wanted to use one of those aircraft they would have two game modes one is a training ground that is like the test flight map but instead has multiple routes you could take along with multiple targets to destroy. The second game mode would be were you and your friends can get on together and practice stunts and aerobatics. ( I know this game mode is basically the custom battles we already have)but it would be much easier and I think it would be a great addition to the game. I have one more suggestion for this update. This update could include different flight training camouflages that are in real life along with the addition to more aerobatic camouflages for more aircraft Thank you gaijin for this game I hope you take this update into consideration and add it thank you for all your hard work.

I think one of the funniest things about the Super Etendard (specifically the competition it was a part of) was that it was up against the A-4M Skyhawk II. It won primarily because France wanted a domestic product to replace the original Etendard (can't blame 'em) Either way, it's a very neat plane, and honestly kind of a looker. You did well, Dassault, you did well...

Hey War Thunder team, got a bit of a longer comment for you lot. A bit of an idea I thought of for an April fools is maybe like a collab with Star Wars? You could use Naval Battle settings, but use Republic/Separatist ships and shuttles from the Clone Wars era, it could work since the Bluewater Fleet are like the command ships, the Costal Fleet can be like the battle cruisers/carriers, lastly, the Aviation can be the basic ships, like a Naboo N-1 Starfighter for the Republic or a Vulture Droid for the Separatists. Even though I said you can use Navel Battle settings, another way to end the game is by having it so that if someone gets like.. 3000 points they can enter a ship that’s a bomber/strike-type where you have to make it further in the map then have to wait about 3-5 seconds while at a slow pace or at a stop to enter hyperspace and if you aren’t destroyed, then your team wins. Oh also, the map have like a section of the map as an asteroid field so players have some cover. If you read all of this, I thank you for doing so and hope you have a good day, but I also want to apologize for taking up some of your time. - A War Thunder Enjoyer.
