This flight is Taylor Swift traveling from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for the Country Music Awards 2013. I was lucky to catch her plane during the B-17 Memphis Belle Air show at Burbank Bob Hope Airport.
Shake it off.. good for her, I've been woking on 900's for 20 years, and this one was my friends aircraft. He was the Chief of maintenance, he took good care of the bird she's in good hands.
Is that really Swift's private jet?? The registration definitely screams of her... (N898TS) She was born in 89, and TS is obviously her initials... Plus the number "13" on the side is reminiscent of her. Although I would be cautious about painting the number 13 on a plane, boat, or car. 13 is an omen.
igotanM16 This was indeed her plane. She was in Los Ángeles for some event when this video was shot. I think the plane was bound for LAS after this departure.
aww taylor would be happy to heard that thankyou for appreciating taylor swift’s music we love youuu!!! Pls take care always and i hope you like the new folklore album as well~ 🌸🌼💐🌾💞✨
+ron story ___IMO, since you feel that way and put it so simply, I'll bet she would be every bit as pleased ! She certainly believes in dreams coming true ! If I got a chance, I'd tell her to do that.
+ObsidianShadowHawk bleed air is just for the leading edges and the engine inletsyou need a 55/45 mix of isoproplene glycol and water to deice the nose, wing surface areas, and the landing gear if necessaryI deice aircraft at KBUF for the past 8 years...every plane and every owner is different in what is needed
+spchalupa True, line departments use that on the ground, but it is all blown away during the takeoff roll. I was just referring to the aircraft's in-flight capabilities. Some very small aircraft (think 172 thru King Air size) do have built-in glycol systems for the props and other select surfaces. Guess I misinterpreted the original comment
+spchalupa Question for you... we don't do alot of driving at work (KLNK) because most of our winter customers are parked in the hangar until the hour of delivery. Do you use different types fluids (type 1-4, I think)? When do you switch between them?
Wow! A man with your wealth actually has the time to battle here. Amazing. Us little people as you upper crowd people call us are the reason you have what you have. MONEY. We buy your items and keep you going. Not that I give 2 shits about your kind, but I do wish you the best in your endeavours. Keep it simple and real. Bashing back just lowers you to their level.
My dad's a captain, flies corporate. He has a picture of this same jet. He parked right next to it one time on the ramp, forgot the airport he was at though.
+Zach Lang ___Probably the one the jet is parked at and comes and goes to at the end and beginning of each trip. I tried searching for that (Pennsylvania somewhere I imagine), but got sidetracked. Thanks for the comment. Hope I get to see it one day.
Stays at JWN alot in Nashville. She paid a ridiculous amount for it i thought, you can find a B model for 3-4mil and upgrade the avionics. Cost a small fortune but it was worth it!
The plane must have been repainted since this was shot. I have video of her plane this past weekend while she was attending her BFF wedding here in Berks County (Reading PA). The paint scheme was changed, the tale number is the same.
If you keep wishing, it will never happen. Make it happen and never let anything stop you from goals. I know a young man that happens to be very close to me that made well over $22,000,000 in 2014. Penny stock mogul. best of luck! th
My guess side of plane abbreviations mean N for Nashville, 89 the year ts was born, 8 i guess was the year she signed her first record deal back in 2006 so 2006 to 2014 equals 8 years, and ts is her name and front of the plane is number 13 which is the date she was born, so i persume it def her private jet, Hope this helps to the following readers and i appreciate any good comments.
Nigel Mason You are wrong about the "N" although I can't say about the rest of the letters. These letters are not "abbreviations" but what is called a registration code. All airplanes have one. All airplanes registered in the US have the letter "N" as their first letter. Like N898TS, or N537AZ etc. each country has a different format, like England is G-___, Canada is C-___ etc.
Yes that may be true, but what I meant was not every airplane with an "N" code has a special meaning. You can personalize your own airplane code, but not every single person does. Taylor Swift did, but not everyone does. I was just pointing out that N898TS is an airplane code and not just something Taylor put on her airplane for show.
I specifically commented on this post because the OP said the "N" stands for Nashville, which it does not. Like I said, the N simply signifies the airplane is registered inside the United States.
Awesome shot and sometimes her private jet does land in ABE (Lehigh Valley International airport) for the musikfest in Bethlehem,Pennsylvania. For you she is actually born in Reading,Pennsylvania a 55-36 mile drive from my place in Warren County,NJ
And you're not and never will be because you are "wanting". You probably have a J.O.B that you hate. I own several company and have since the 1980's. Gurgle me. Love to chat more but I hang with a much different crowd that you. And this is a pointless debate that you have lost. "Judge not, lest you be judged." (Gurgle it)
***** According to an aircraft database, N898TS is "Manufacturer: DASSAULT-BREGUET," "Code: 2730160," and "Model Name: MYSTERE FALCON 900." Numerous other sources also identify it as a 900, not a 700.
Floyd McCoy I don't trust a lot of the on-line databases, so to double check I went straight to the Feds: registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=N898TS :-)
I'm glad to see Ms Swift have a successful career; she's hot and talented. But how can she afford a private jet in the form of an 900? I can see something like maybe a King Air Turboprop or a used Lear 25 but a Falcon 900? Unless she's hit the $500 mil net worth mark how can she pull it off? Is it paid for by her label?
Exi, $10MM Citation X operation cost(including mortgage with $1MM down payment) cost around $2.5MM or so per year. And this plane is 1991 Falcon 900B refurbished, which cost $7-9MM. So yea, she could easily afford it with her $50MM earning.
The previous post about getting a Citation X is right...time is money, and if you can afford the fastest, get the fastest. You can always retrofit a gold-plated toilet, master bedroom, guitar amp, 8 x 12 cab, and other goodies. Update: Thanks for the feedback, all. For many people, time is not the only factor. Comfort, amenities, space, etc. are also considerations.
Well, to be fair, the citattion x is not as spacious as the 900, and for someone who travels with a whole entourage, than can be a problem. It's not always about the fastest. I'm sure her jet does well to get her where she needs to go just fine. I'm certain she must have consultated with some pros to get the jet, not just pick the first one she saw, so, her purchase makes sense to her.
@@SOLDOZER Actually when you charter only the plane itself is a write off, fuel, pilots, and hours on the airframe is taxable, I guess you don't pay taxes.
Chartering is fine. For those who have time to plan and decide. Pick up the phone and call to schedule, "I need to go NOW." Or internet. "Right NOW." Wait for email from Customer Service? Like silly Allegiant Airlines. Wait on aircraft availability? Pilots? Are you kidding me?? Waste time on the phone? Own your own aircraft, and its there wherever you need to be. As long as there is a runway large enough to support it and fuel to put in it. You don't have to be in a jet to be cool. ANY airplane is cool, and any aircraft suitable for your purpose is usually a much better alternative than the questionable nightmare of traveling on a commercial flight in these times. General Aviation in the U.S. without fees, without restraints. Hope and pray those who come into power don't ruin it anytime soon.
Regardless of who actually owns the plane, this is Taylor's "private jet" that she travels on frequently. It is flown all around the world and is currently with her in Australia (I actually saw it around 8 hours ago). The TS and 13 on the plane are personal Taylor touches - her initials and lucky number. It's completely customised for her. :)
Upon further investigation and googling, you can find that SATA LLC has the same address in Nashville, Tennessee as "13 MANAGEMENT" - Taylor's privately owned management company. The plane is Taylor's. She paid for it. She uses it. It's registered to her management company which she also owns. It's hers.
Jessica Maree LOL Nice. I wouldn't have blinked if you'd have put "PWND" at the end of your post. :) Alfred Capanetti Clever-by-half is the most annoying clever of all.
Wild Panda If you look on the engines you see N898TS. This is called a registration code and every airplane has one. You can google this and find out who owns the airplane. Now with these celebrities it can get hard because they like to travel in private and try to hide this info on the internet, but after awhile you can find out who owns the plane.
+Wild Panda There is a 13 on the door, and the registration is N898TS. The N meaning North America, the 89 probably standing for 1989, and the TS for Taylor Swift. But now for the REAL info: if you look up N898TS on the FAA's N-Number lookup, it traces to SATA, LLC in Nashville, Tennessee. If you look up SATA LLC, they have an office at #145 Maple Row Blvd in Hendersonville. And do you know what's literally right next door at #147? 13 Management, Taylor's consulting firm. Too much to be a coincidence.
How the hell it's possible that a 25 year old girl owns a roughly estimated valued private jet of 40 to 50 million dollars? World more and more get's insane!
@@stephanieviczko5176 I made that comment six years ago! I had forgotten it:-) Anyway, she probably doesn't own the jet but just hires it from netjets or similar when they need one.
Google the plane number, Taylor Swift doesn't own the aircraft or if she does it's not her name against it. Good vid though and yeah lucky her getting to fly about in this!
This is an old falcon 900B. Don’t get me wrong it can still a great aircraft if it was maintained correctly and upgraded avionics, but I seriously doubt she owns it. Probably leases it while on tour like most bands.
uch a nice person she is sad some one is taking advantage of her she could have a falcon like a 2000 instead of a 900 that is just as nice but with out the crazy expence of running a 3rd engine and the extra fuel it burns and the extra weight it weighs with out it she could carry more weight too maybe she would want to go on a shoping spree for her mom all those bags would fit better in the 2000 :~)
Falcons are nice planes compare able to a Gulfstream but the 900 is a waste because the 2000 is such a better plane along with Gulfstreams equivalent to a g4 or g5.
serutcip wawa how is a falcon 900 a waste when you have diffrent types of the 900 type. You have the 900EX which can go 4500NM and 900Lx which goes 4750NM.To me the 900 is better than the 2000
+Eyong Tambe it's just an insane amount of money to spend. I work with private jets and they're just absurd to maintain even when you're not flying them. I suppose with her tours though that she does fine. Most people just charter though.
James Owen Maintaining a dassault falcon 900 a year even with about 400 hours shouldn't be up to 3M dollars, for someone who earns ATLEAST 50 M a year (Cumulative) I don't think it's that bad at all. For them it's practically what a car is to you and me. A necessity.
It's probably hard to believe, but that really is her jet. 13 on the front is her lucky number. In the registration she has her initials (TS). It cost her 40 million dollars
