Great content! Can you talk about Polkadot? Isn't it kind like a permissioned (parachain auctions) data availability solution? How are they? I know they have a finality gadget (grandpa), but what about having the right cryptography and state proofs solution?
Currently Polkadot requires projects to be a parachain in order to get access to its DA layer. They are implementing an on-demand space feature where you can pay for space allocation - although this is not released yet. Polygon Avail (which is mentioned in the video) uses substrate and therefore could have been a DA layer on top of Polkadot so that projects don't need to win an auction to leverage that ecosystem
