Not sure who this is for. May not be for the Medicare recipient but more for someone a bit more sophisticated re Data and is interested in it for different reasons and not as a senior or as a recipient. I wish that they clarify who this tutorial is for i.e. who the audience is for this information. I looked down on other comments and found people lost....so I feel better. It is interesting but I have no idea if I am supposed to use this for my benefit as a medicare recipient...i.e. I am a senior and am enrolled. This presentation is confusing because it does notspecify who the audience need to be and what it is to be used for.
I can understand your confusion. However, if you notice in the description of this video they state "The training session is appropriate for both technical and non-technical users of Compare website data, for example, researchers, health care administrators, and quality improvement professionals". This video is not really designed for the average non-technical person, although the data must now be available to all. I know I certainly would not expect a non-technical person to understand this easily! (Said as a former IT professional) For those of us that are on the technical spectrum, this info is actually pretty well presented. I definitely agree with previous comments that say the average Medicare recipient should just use the Medicare website. But should you want to access the background data that powers that site, here it is!
Why do you require me to purchase a Microsoft product? Yes, I could use raw data but you are forcing me to buy a product to use the information as designed.
This is not a good site as RU-vid screen on a personal PC is too small to read and truthfully it is really boring. I'll go on Medicare's site and figure it out for myself. Seniors are not as stupid as theiir commercials make us look and sound.
useless as a computer consultant I can tell you this is out of date and useless to anyone other than computer people. The average person has no use for this page ... Just like why people don't like the government to do anything. This is not aimed at the retired who is over 60 years. So sad.
