Caleb thank you so much for all what you did. Without you I would've been lost in loads of documentation to understand all that. Are you planning to proceed with this series ?? Greetings from Egypt!!

Man i like your video series and they are all nice and helpful. i want you to know that you are God sent, because i was once a chorister, but because i was able to go through your musical theory videos, now i am been appointed as the church assistant choir master. One thing that makes me able to go through these video was the fun on the 57 video series

Thanks for the video Caleb. Let's say I have John (the first user) who referred Mike, and then Mike referred Suzy, and then Suzy referred Dan. Using self-joins, how can I link Dan back to John? How can I find the "original" referee for any given user i.e. the user at the end of the chain. Thanks!

I watched full course of database design...It is actually very good contents you have explained.. but I think you should at least add two more videos in this series about 1) how to design schema 2) nested tables

What would happen if you didn't assign any alias to v2.email as there is another field named v1.email?

By far the best informative overview of a course I have ever watched. Your videos had me laughing all of the way through, as I learned so much about database. I hope to pass my test tomorrow thanks to you! Keep up the good work, if you where my teacher I never miss a class.

Caleb, just want to echo what everyone has said and say thank you! I’ve tried watching database videos from other sources and was so dry I could not endure. I stumbled upon your video and praise God for it! You have a gift and have a very easy and humorous way of explaining concepts- keep it up!

Can you link to examples of full database designs that use these tables and how they relate to other tables in one to many as well as many to many relationships (i.e. with join tables)?

Caleb...I hate your videos ...that's what I felt initially .:P Man love your videos and I watched all the videos from this series within less than a week and I learnt a lot about databases. A week back I knew nothing about databases and now I know how it works and a lot more. Really appreciate your work. Thanks a ton. Am learning a lot through your videos. Please continue making valuable content. P.S- I wish I could support you on patreon. But wait-for-it I will definitely sponsor you soon once I get a job.

Shouldn't these dependencies be removed via normalization and thus, self-joins being deemed useless?
