I left SL 30 years ago, because I wanted to live openly as a gay man. Back then, there was no organization for young gay people to meet and socialize - only AIDS-related groups. I felt extremely isolated, as someone who was interested in gay romance and companionship -as opposed to hook-ups on the beach or dark alleys. I am so happy for the young people of today and grateful for their parents who support them. Proud of the hard work all of you have been putting in for the right to love and live with dignity. 🥰

I was part of lgbt 🏳️🌈 as well and I’m so proud when I know about that I left my family and SL coz I was scared they will not accept me but now everyone is accepting me coz first I focuse myself to being a person who I’m Just to advice for who being a part of lgbt grow yourself to shutoff all bullshit people around you.. ❤

I personally believe Sri Lankan job market need to change and there shouldn't be any personal questions asked at interviews such as a person's sexual orientation which has nothing to do with the job role. I am a hetro living overseas and we don't even need to disclose our age unless we are hired and have to fill ID details in hiring process in agreements.

When i read these comments i feel so sad for our people. Some have commented about western world problems without thinking about the problems we have in our own country. That’s whats in our sri lankan blood and we have no way out of it: comparing, negativity, acceptance of shaming etc. Never considering about the other person’s feelings. Unless this happens to their own children or themselves they will never realize the importance of these topics and raising awareness. Why is this channel giving so much of publicity for this group. Totally unwanted. In the west this has become a big issue and it has come to schools as well. Sri Lanka doesnt need to fall into that trap when there are so many other pressing issues people are facing here.
