@@mattstolzman One of my earliest jobs out of high school was selling "knock off" bottles of popular fragrances. This will make me old as dirt, but we had "our version" of Giorgio for men. I remember liking it. Of course, if I could make Encre Noire my signature scent, I would, but people might mistake me for the Cryptkeeper.
Thanks for giving the Dunhill some love. I wore it heavily in the 70's and still use it today. It has a bit of a petrol smell to it, it's quite unique. I have multiple bottles of vintage Habit Rouge EDT, which is stunning. I discovered it about 5 years ago and wear it all the time. And your Constellation is beautiful, so very handsome!
Giorgio is so surprisingly good. I'm 42, so hardly a young man. But I do love a lot of the modern fragrances (Eros, Sauvage, ect) and I still think this a great one to have today.
Giorgio Beverly Hills smells amazing. It’s great to see Mr Smelly likes this too. My wife hates it, for me it’s a guilty pleasure. It performs amazingly smells like an upper class barber 💈 shop scent. Bang for your buck off the scale. I think I paid £16 for a 125ml. Always puts a smile on my face.
Fantastic list ,these are really great , Habit Rouge especially is something that everyone should own , it's not enough just to try in a shop ,you need to wear this in all kinds of different weather just to feel how it works because it unbelievably beautiful when it springs to life. Thanks for the video Dan
Wow- you are going back to fragrances of yesteryear with these choices as I wore Giorgio for Men and Habit Rogue over 30 years ago . I recently purchased Gravitas Essentia and I must say I am extremely happy with this fragrance purchase. This was a blind buy which can be disappointing at times but this scent is beautiful and I will be wearing it often this summer . Well done !
As always an enjoyable and knowledgeable overview. Not familiar with the Dunhill and Tangier. For some reason, I have found the Floris Elite too aromatic and dry for my nose. As opposed to the MDCI IB which is somewhat of a gourmand creamy barbershop fragrance, not unlike (but different) Histories De Perfume 1725. With respect to Floris, I much prefer No. 89, Jermyn Street, and 1962. I also enjoy Giorgio of Beverly Hills. I have the new Habit Rouge and have tried it only one time. With a hint go tobacco, it may be for a slightly cooler temp than a humid summer in Nashville.
Love floris elite, originally a shaving cream released in 1853, then copied by Carlos benaim/Ralph Lauren and released as polo in the late 1970s, floris didn't release it as a bottled fragrance until the early 1980s, if you like it you will love vetiver by guerlain.
Brilliant list. I have the dunhill and the guerlain in my collection, love them specially these days that we are under attack of prestigeless scents. I wonder how can we stay noble in age of silly scents and dupes? We've been struggling with absurd and spurious scents, unfortunately a strong wave of dupes is coming, and you know that there are tons of dupebags out there to welcome fake and copy cat fragrances
Tom Ford Noir Anthracite is like the perfect combo of old school and modern. Very masculine, metallic, green and dark in this unisex generation. Definitely not sweaty and pissy so it doesn't reminds you of your sweaty grandpa after working in the garden. Great list man! 👑🔥
its really good, i wish i hated it because it goes for a pretty penny now...i got a 100ml for $75usd a year and a half ago when everyone was talking crap
i do love your videos mate hahha your entrance is always hilarious. i ve got a couple of spanish fragrances for you. Going through your videos i realised that you really like this kinda of dapper gentlemanly style so that is why you must buy "agua fresca" by adolfo dominguez what a lovely fougère this is nothing pretentious in actuality is an every day scent it could also be one's signature scent, a fragrance that can be worn in any occasion casual or dress-up it leans more to the summer but again here in the Canary Island is always summer. Another fougère you must try is esencia de Loewe the EDT version what a fragrance! elegant, potent, serious and very very manly so there you have them two of my so beloved spanish smells.
You know Dan, if you wanted, every single video you post could be about stuffy-old-dude fragrances! I mean, you're dated, you're perfect for it! Bravo!
Floris Elite £40 on Brand Alley. Plus they should give you more off still as a new user if you spend a certain amount. Other Floris there too. Coincidentally my order of Floris Elite, Santal and Bouquet de La reine from them arrived today. I also (from elsewhere) had Dunhill Edition arrive today. When I saw your thumbnail I was excited at the coincidence as I thought you were featuring that Dunhill. Dunhill for Men is classic but does smell very dated to me even though still good. Habit Rouge a little dated but again still good
@@EOTA564 I spray on my hair and think it's ok. Would be classed as "moderate" in Fragrantica terms, but I get a few hours out of it. Most Floris only last a few hours (4-8 depending on how much you use and where you spray) but they are often beautiful for that time
i have an earlier bottle of Floris Elite...i dunno man, i dont hate it but its pretty weak and it doesnt come off very unique. i was very excited to get it, i could be somewhat clouded from the dissapointment but the performance is bad for me definetely
Would you please review Canoe by Dana? It's the only fragrance I've ever worn when a pretty girl I didn't know commented on good I smelled, and then took me by the hand and led me from the bonfire out into the forest. 🗻 🕊 🦅
